This place has enough bad reviews , posting another one won’t make a difference. There is no service but when the iPad flips around it’s 25%-35% tip options which is hilarious. Tables are disgusting man , sticky and ants all over it , not even the west side taco trucks aren’t this nasty. Not enough fans outside Food was surprisingly okay and beer was cold so that’s a plus.

First time here. Went to the Saint Maya Tequila opening with Tarasco Tropical. That tequila is fire! I couldn't stop with he Maya Margaritas! And listening to Tarasco Tropical just made it even better! I love the patio outside very spacious with a very nice stage. The inside bartenders great and the inside vibe was chill. I didn't get to order food this time but it smelled delicious. Just means I have to go back and try it all!

OMG! Why didn't we know about this hidden treasure sooner? Honey gets off of work kinda late & we take our son just about everywhere w/us. Playground, swings, outdoor covered deck, tons of family friendly/group seating for large parties or large families. Mommy's & Daddy's having a cold beverage while the kiddos go play w/other children. Bring your frisbees, soccer balls or footballs to share. Music taste was awesome! Stage for a live band too! No kids@the bar after 9pm but no worries, tons to do outdoors! You guys really need a chain! Be back soon!

Sakari with Offline - I was so anxious coming in alone with my two boys. They IMMEDIATELY put me at ease. I was wanting to find something budget friendly and she suggested kids meals. They were HUGE!! so delicious as well. The atmosphere was everything. Relaxing, everyone smiling, great playground and I could relax knowing there was nowhere I could lose my children. 10/10 best family restaurant in San Antonio Texas.

I really enjoyed this much needed time with co workers! I have been going through a hard time and they chosen a great place! More shade and it will be perfect my children loved it! For my 4 children and I spent less than 60$ bucks and that’s including mommy needing a drink lol

First time visiting, had a baby shower here. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Always made sure we didn't need anything. Pricing is very fair, I really enjoyed myself. Would visit again for sure.

A very fun dog-friendly environment! Not a lot of gluten free options... but I did get to try a delicious Blackberry Cider!!!

Revising prior review. They fixed the playground. And added shade. And they have kids food and a great bar. Yes please. All day long.

I’ll be back. The hubby and I stopped for a drink about 2 pm on a Sunday - family friendly (playground, big field for kids), very relaxed atmosphere (everyone was in t shirts and shorts), the staff were friendly, the drinks were tasty (I devoured my manzana fizz) and I LUVD the dog friendliness. I’ll be back after 9pm when it turns into adults only :-)

Kid friendly spot. Perfect place for a sunny Sunday! We ordered 32oz beer. The Micheladas are super delish! Spicy! Their Brisket tacos are to die for! The tacos are in flour tortilla, they have cream, salsa, guac, mango pico, and corn. $5 a taco. The BEST! They only have brisket tacos on Saturdays and Sundays. The rest of the week they have a couple of food trucks outside.

What a GEM! This place is amazing! Great outdoor space, playground for the kiddos, and an amazing menu! Burgers, Dogs, Pizzas, Sandwiches… you are covered! Drink menu is diverse with some amazing signature cocktails! Service is incredible (We had Cheyenne), never had an empty cup and food was fast/fresh! Would definitely recommend if you are out in the area!

Great place to have lunch, know for there pizza, I tried the Juicy Lucci burger. Burger was spot on , fries were good too. Patio area is huge.

Affordable options, open atmosphere, great kids play area. I only tried the pizza but I enjoyed it. The crust is different than many options in the area- which I liked. It wasn't chewy or soggy but not the texture of cardboard either. I'd eat it again. Fun environment with both indoor or outdoor seating portions and the outdoor seating is substantial. There are large industrial fans outside to help with the heat in the summer, and netting overhead to allow airflow but block the sun. Great little joint for a group event, casual dining, or an evening with friends.

Spent a wonderful Sunday here with our 2 kids. Drinks and food were delicious, staff was great, backyard was awesome. Kids have been begging to go back!!

This place was really nice to go for our family outing. The drinks were really good and so was the food. Our little one we able to play on the playground and enjoyed being outside. The place was clean, service was great

Toni and Dre were extremely kind and accommodating to my big party. The food was great and it came out quickly. I highly recommend the pesto pizza and cheesy bread. And the dollar wing special is rad. Drinks are good too! There’s a bunch of indoor and outdoor seating with a nice ambience and cornhole games outside. There’s a really cool mural outside and aesthetically pleasing photo spots inside. Thank y’all for giving us a great end of year party for my student organization!!

Staff was friendly, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was just pleasant and friendly. They had a vendor making balloon animals to order at the outdoor play area, which was a big hit. The cowboy burger was awesome, the loaded nachos were so big my son didn't even order a meal, and my wife said the classic burger was awesome as well as the chips and queso. The after 9pm 21+ only events looked like a lot of fun (karaoke, special menu, ETC), however, we were not able to attend but are interested in checking it out later.

Really nice place for kids during the day. (bar after 9pm no kids allowed) A lot of choice on the menu. Everything was good. Only negatif, the fries have oregano, anyone around us eat same. Kids and adults don't touch it.

Holy jalapeño bacon jam Batman! New to San Antonio, didn’t feel like sitting in my place so I walked across the street to Backyard! A family entered before me, the guy went to close the door and instead he got a handful of below my belt!! Headed to the bar, friendly folks let me know just how things go at their establishment! Decided on a cowboy burger and some truffle fries! Got me a soda water and lime and headed out back. Nice big area, it was quiet when I was there, fine with me! Got that burger, it was just what I was wanting. Almost went for the chili cheese dawg in honor of my dawg Riley who isn’t with me right now. Riley loves to cook some hawt dawgs with me!! Anyways, did I feel like a cowboy eating that burger? The verdict is out. Did I enjoy that burger? The verdict is in, and on all counts of enjoyment it definitely won me over. Missing my partner big time, so it was nice to get out and try Backyard. Hope to enjoy this place again with my Special J!

The food was great and the atmosphere was so fun and comfortable. Our server Mikey was AMAZING, she checked on our table and others that she noticed weren’t being taken care of. Which was incredible because we felt like she was always checking on us. Huge kudos!

Backyard on Broadway is a chill spot with good food, strong drinks, and a cool outdoor vibe. The playground makes it perfect if you’ve got kids, and the Cowboy Burger and Buffalo Chicken pizza hit the spot. Service can be slow sometimes, and it’s a bit pricey—but it’s a fun place to kick back, especially on the weekend.

It was great. Currently a limited menu as they just reopened. Went on a Sunday and they had live music. Plenty of outdoor seating. The food was good. Definitely recommend. Pictured is the tuna poke I had.

We had such a great time and so did our kids ages 6,3,3,1 and 11 months old . We had pizza , wings and fries and a round of juices for the kids !! The playground is clean and they had fans with mist thank god . Clean restroom and wonderful bar staff . We would definitely recommend this place ! I do believe they ask that after 9 pm no children but call and make sure . I didn't get pictures of the playground sorry

I normally always enjoy a spot that has outdoor and indoor options for seating and this place has that. I had the shroom y Swiss burger and it was delicious. Fries were decent. Drinks were good and not too expensive. The service was good. Sarina was a great server.

Very good borgir, excellently cooked to perfection. Fries are great, and the nachos are amazing. Also the mozzarella sticks are pretty good. Lotta sauce. Excellent customer service. And yes, I know I just said borgir. And yes, I know it’s actually burger. And you know what? I couldn’t care less!

Came here after the Southerleigh never called us in for our table. We were excited that there was a place for the Littles to burn off some energy (10 & 12), lots of outdoor seating. Food was great... we were starving, so no pictures of anything but our apps. Ordered - nachos (very good!) Fried pickles (also delicious, and a great batter) Pesto chicken pizza- Partner says it was good The Classic & sweet potato fries- sister says it was good I ordered the chicken on a bun, with grilled chicken instead of battered & fried and without the bun. I added garlic parmesan fries and they were AMAZING. 12 yr old ordered pink lemonade (tasted like dragon fruit, he says) and chicken tenders with fries. 10 yr old ordered pepperoni pizza & pink lemonade. He made no comment. Booze - Partner ordered the Whorechata (no, I didn't spell that wrong) and sister ordered Daddy's Daiquiri. Partner loved his drink, sister said hers was ok.

What a great vibe, met some close friends their on a average Thursday afternoon, our server was so friendly and efficient, she was awesome. The drinks were super cold and fresh. We had some queso and wings, both did not disapoint. This neighborhood hang out is on our radar.

This place is huge. Indoors nice and cold, outdoors lots of covered spaces. Staff nice but need to be more attentive, asked for bill twice. I think I saw ppl walk out w/o paying, bet happens often - sad I can see why it does.

Amazing restaurant with an amazing heart! Due to the SNAP shutdown, they gave out full family meals—including pizza—and their lemonade was incredible. They were super organized & professional! Truly a business that cares about the community!

The food was great, but the pizza oven was broken and we didn't get to try it. The brisket sandwich was great. The outdoor playground was a huge plus. We had 3 or 4 different servers which was confusing. We will definitely be back.

I loved this place; it is truly pet-friendly! Excellent service. The manager was incredibly kind and welcoming — you can tell he genuinely loves dogs. He even shared a bit about his own, and it was clear how much he cares. I stopped by with my retired K9 partner, Bela, and they couldn’t have treated her better. The patio is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for pets to relax. They even welcomed us to their upcoming dog costume contest (October 18th, 2025)! If you’re looking for a local spot where pets are not only allowed but celebrated, Backyard on Broadway is the place to go. 100% Retired K9 Bela Approved! 🐾

Backyard on Broadway is an absolute gem! This place perfectly blends great food, a warm atmosphere, and family-friendly vibes. The menu was packed with flavorful options, and everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff truly went above and beyond. From the moment we walked in, they were friendly, attentive, and eager to make our experience enjoyable. They even helped accommodate our picky eater with a smile—such a rare find these days! But the real star of the show? The amazing playground and patio setup. As parents, it’s a dream to have a spot where the kids can safely play while we relax and enjoy a meal. The playground is well-designed, clean, and engaging, keeping our little one entertained for hours. Meanwhile, the spacious patio offered a relaxed, chic vibe perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long week. Whether you're out for family dinner or just a casual hangout, Backyard on Broadway strikes the perfect balance. We’ll definitely be back—this place is a true treasure!

It ended up being a great space to hold a conference and speaking engagement. I was a keynote speaker for Cafe86SA and the venue was spacious in its outdoor area. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

For a kids birthday party this is the place. My nieces had a playground at her disposal for several hours. Which definitely tires them out. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We were outdoors it was a nice day, but I wish there were more fans around to provide a little more air flow. The bench area and playground area were clean, and well spaced for multiple parties. 🎈 The staff were friendly even with so much chaos. It did take a little to get things out but I was very busy. Our waiter Jeremy I believe was very attentive, kind, and had great customer service. (Unfortunately I’m better with face than I am names). Overall a great experience. All the staff we encountered was hands on, and made everything go so smoothly. The food was amazing! I have the strip burger 🍔 and worth every bite. The fries were cooked with a tasteful crunch. The hot girl summer combo is a must with the pineapple beer you can’t get anywhere else. You’ve got to try it!

I stopped in for dinner yesterday and, to my surprise, the venue was hosting a huge political event. After my party was seated, over 300 people poured in. Despite the overwhelming crowd, the serving staff went above and beyond to accommodate us—they were truly busting their butts to make sure everyone was taken care of. What really impressed me was that, even under that kind of pressure, the food was still excellent. The Cowboy Burger and Cheese Pizza were both fantastic choices, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Hats off to the staff and kitchen for keeping everything running smoothly during such a demanding evening. This level of service and quality absolutely deserves 5 stars.

I first heard about this restaurant from the Facebook Group "San Antonio Restaurants". It was recommended to me when I asked for suggestions for a restaurant for my son's 3rd birthday dinner. I said we needed a location that was for mostly adults but yet kid friendly. So we selected Backyard on Broadway because it met the criteria we were looking for and we were not disappointed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience! Dre. was the person who I engaged in communication with pretty much the entire time and was amazing to work with. All of my questions were answered and very timely! As soon as my toddler and I walked in their establishment we were greeted by the hosts who exclaimed, "You must be the birthday boy!!" I knew it was going to be a great experience from then on! We had prime real estate seating up on the patio overlooking the playground. Our food was brought out hot and very quickly after being there. Our servers were hustling back and forth and did an amazing job of making sure our guests were happy. They took all of our special requests and made everything seamless. We had elderly that needed chairs with backs, dietary restrictions with gluten free crusts, small children and we were in the shade. They kept our cake and goodie bags with meltable candies inside their walk-in fridge until needed. Their PBJ pizza (pepperoni and bacon jam) was the hit of the party! Their chicken tenders were as well! They were not your basic tenders. These were super flavorful and oversized. They said we could decorate the space, but I am not the decorating type so we just had a big banner and called it a day! It worked great on their space. After our dinner was over we had to make a quick dash to the Scobee Education Center because I had gotten all our guests tickets to the Planetarium. We broke down our sign and boxed up our cake and the restaurant said we could leave our stuff there and come right back and pick it up after the show! 🥹 They were life savers!! I could go on and on about how happy we were. I just wanted to let everyone know what a great time we had and that it was a great choice for us! Sharing a few pictures for reference. Thank you again to the ones that were helpful and recommending this place to us! We will definately be back. If I had to say something negative it would be that their cups of salsa for their chips are too small. We need more salsa because they were really good!

Mikey was an excellent server. Love the playground. It's expanded since the last time I was there and it's a little big for toddlers but still very fun. Food is delicious. The burgers and sandwiches are huge. Very filling.

Not too bad. Decent outdoor patio that's super kid friendly. Could use some new shade sails or at least tighten the ones that are up now.

S

Cool atmosphere. Lots of outdoor space including playground for kiddos and some covered tables. All outdoor tables seem to be picnic tables - good to know if you have trouble climbing in/ out of your seat. It got petty crowded but had a fun vibe. Hummus was tasty and a favorite over the nachos and chips/ queso. Had to pay extra for a few extra pita pieces. Burger was excellent and the pizzas looked delicious and expertly made- family said they were great though I didn't try them this time. No combo meals or discounts available (no military discount), so it gets pricey very quickly with everything a la carte. We got pitchers of room temp tap water and had to request ice. Spent about $50 (with auto included tip for more than 6 guests) on a cheeseburger (bacon extra), fries, chips/ queso, and some extra pita pieces. Not in a rush to return, but seems like a cool spot to meet for drinks and sharables. Parking is very limited.

First time visiting here. Have some indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating. Chose to eat outside. Plenty of space. Have a playground for the kids, have Cornhole and giant Jenga to play. Ordered the Pepperoni pizza...it was good and cheesy. Also had the seasoned fries. The Blue Hawaiian drink was good. Did not enjoy the watermelon margaritas. Will have to come back in the evenings that they have live music. No minors allowed after 9pm.

Food and drinks were alright but having outdoor space for kids made it much better.

Very nice environment with a play area for kids ! when it gets later in the night, the play are does get darker. there are only a few bright lights outside to keep the play area lit Food trucks are also good. only thing i didnt like was that they do end up kind of kicking you out after 9pm if you have kids.

Great service, huge patio, happy for between 3pm and 7pm, I just didn't really like the limited variety of draft beers, but the happy hour food was awesome and for a great price!

Unorganized ..host who was rude because she had to come find us (at the bar) because we didnt know we needed to be hosted. Was our 1st time there. Doubtful we will be back. Bartenders were awesome.

This place was ok. It's family and pet friendly if you are into taking your dogs and kids to a bar ; then this is your spot. Drinks were decent . I went there because I saw an amazing drink online, but when I got there they didn't have it. I couldn't decide what to eat so we drank our drinks and moved on to another spot.. the people were friendly and it was a nicer place than it used to be.

If Spurs Jesus hangs out here, you KNOW it’s the place to be! This is an *awesome* place for Sunday Funday, or any other day or night of the week! They have a decent sized parking lot considering the part of town they are in. If there’s an event going on, the parking lot might fill up, but you can find street parking within a couple of blocks. Easy breezy. Inside, there’s a spacious bar area with a few tables to hang out at and sip on your ice-cold beers or mixed drinks. They have a full bar and a decent craft brew selection. There’s a deck out front, deck out back, and even a deck upstairs. Small stage outside for the occasional live music event or DJ. Family friendly - nice playground in the backyard.

Went during the day but this looks like a nice bar location. There was outside play area for kids. Food was good and drinks were well made. Location wasn’t the best but service was good.

If you are looking for a place to hangout with a live band outside, this is a decent place for just that scenario . Drinks are pretty good but appetizers could be a little hotter when served but overall good. Server was friendly and prompt but did have to go inside ask where our server was after waiting 15 min at our table. All in all not a bad place to hang out with friends and family.

My daughters' soccer team were in town for a tournament and came here for our team dinner. All the familes absolutely loved the place, the food, and the fun environment. The playground was a huge hit for our group of 9-11 year olds! This place has a huge outdoor sitting area that accomodated us very well. We even had a 2nd team within our club join us last minute and the waitress accomodated them as well. My only complaint was that we were one of the first families to order our drinks and that took over an hour to get. Our food came out before our drinks. We tried NOT to boggle the waitresses too much, but we did remind them more than once about our drinks, we ended up just going inside to the bar (for non-alcoholic drinks). BUT other than that, we loved the atmosphere and our main waitress took it all in stride and showed no frustration and joked with us all night. She was great and a true professional. Oh and they let parents play flip cup to end our night! lol Great memories were had! We would definitely come here again! Thank you Backyard!

I love the vibe of this place, very relaxed atmosphere, super cute women’s bathroom and a nice photoshoot spot right outside it for those who are into that. There’s a lot to love at Backyard on Broadway, and it’s becoming my go-to spot when I’m in the neighborhood. Tasty food (though not impressed with the prices), AMAZING wavy fries that are like potatoes wedges, lots of indoor seating near outlets and no restrictions on laptop use, ample parking, and friendly wait staff and patrons. I also saw a sign for yoga Sunday mornings; haven’t confirmed this but I do really want to check it out if they have it! My most recent bartender/waitress, Sue, was so down to earth and friendly, and made sure to regularly check in on me. I loved her energy and look forward to seeing her next time I’m there. So far I have only had great experiences with the staff there :) Cons - As of early July 2021, I didn’t see any precautions being taken for COVID, including no signs to wear it or any enforcement at all, including the staff. Plenty of patrons don’t mind this, but I do so that’s why I’m making a note of it. The happy hour prices also aren’t much of a deal at all, $8 cocktails, so… Not much else to say, overall a great spot and not too crowded during daylight hours!

More bathrooms more menu options. Clean and very nice! Food tasty. I'm hoping the fact that it was super busy service was subpar. Live entertainment was cool. I did not like the fact that if your bill is over $100, or over 8 people, it's automatic 20% tip. Discourages drunks or keeping a running tab I suppose. My mom picked up the tab and also was displeased with service and didn't think she deserved 20%.

It was great, the only problem was the staff was over it. It was multiple staff members were sorry if rude. They definitely did not want to help each other and we're easily offended if asked for assistance. It was off putting as a customer.

I had an amazing experience! The drinks were fantastic, and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding—especially the chicken tenders paired with some of the best fresh ranch I’ve ever had. The pizza was also delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this place, though it can get a bit crowded at times. Definitely worth a visit!

I went with my little ones and husband Saturday for an early dinner. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now bc I love the idea of the playground. My 3 year old had a blast playing while we sat outside and ate. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Which was amazing! My husband had a burger which he said wasn’t that great. Service was decent. Our waitress was training and while they were both super friendly. I felt like they could have been a little more attentive when it came to needing refills. We wanted to order a couple beers but after we got our food they didn’t come back u til it was time for the check. We will definitely be returning and giving them another try though

We really like this place, mainly because of their playground. Staff is ok but could be more attentive. The food is pretty good. More marketing could bring this place more business, we usually go on Friday or Saturday nights and it’s not that full, mind you the place is huge. That would make it more fun. Needless, we will keep going back because of the playground and good food.

I visited this place for the first time after seeing it advertised on social media. It wasn’t great for me. The playground is nice for the kiddos, the food is a little overpriced for the flavor. I ordered a burger and despite the reviews it was bland. For my 5 year old I ordered the chicken strips and those were good, the fries were not. Bland and If you have little kids… beware, the fries are seasoned with something that little kids dont like to see (green dry seasoning) The music is nice and it has plenty of outdoor seating. For me: its the kind of place you visit if you are downtown and looking for a place for the kids to play and thats it.

Loved the playground but the kids meal prices are so high. $8 for a grilled cheese? $10 for TWO chicken strips, and $9 for a hot dog. Those are soooo overpriced. Unfortunately the experience one time was cool but we won't be back again nor will we recommend unless the prices become more agreeable.

Great place to bring kids before 9pm. It's a bit insulting when your actual server hasn't been to your table in 30 min to ask if you need anything but a separate server comes to REMIND you that exactly at 9 we are kicked out because we have kids..... I get it liquor licences and we had no intention of staying past 9 (which we left at 845) but maybe if our server came to check on us we could have close out 🤷🏻‍♀️.... Word to the wise.... Put your tab at the bar and get up to order when you want something/anything. Save yourself the disappointment!

We liked the place. The food was okay. I had a salad and I like salad so I had no complaints. My husband had the Cuban. He said the cheese wasn't melted, the sandwich wasn't warm or pressed, it ended up being cold. He liked the pickles. The atmosphere was good, we would go again.

Cute place. Worst idea to go for NYE. $20 got us honey chicken biscuits and onions that were supposed to be potatoes and champagne. The photo is attached. The food wasn’t even served on a real plate. The pancakes also had this nasty lemon flavor none of us were ready for. A friend picked the spot for NYE and Backyard on Broadway obviously wasn’t it. I think any other day this could be a good spot to go but $20 for what you could barely call food was disappointing. This space has a lot of potential. More games should be brought such as the huge connect 4, jenga etc.

Booked A baby shower there and was sat next to the bar, but in front of the door that goes to the backyard of course we are in Texas San Antonio, Texas at that where it is always hot and with people going in and out when they were cutting through our party too every time that door opened a big ghost of hot wind blue in made it Very uncomfortable hot. Now when I booked for the party there I was told if I had 50+ people that the gratuity charge would be $125. I said that would not be a problem when the baby shower actually took place. We only had 21 people actually show up not 50 when I paid my ticket. They told me this is your ticket plus the gratuity I gave them an extra $60 on top of that then I am out in the parking lot packing everything away to go home and one of the waitresses came out to the parking lot flagging me down hollering (Ma’am) (Ma’am) across the parking lot And then proceeded to tell me how I still needed to pay the $150 gratuity. I took back the $60. I had originally gave her. I gave her the $125 gratuity but repeatedly mentioned that we only had 21 people show up and everyone who paid their ticket also paid the gratuity tip. The girl kept saying how she was so sorry for the confusion but that her nor the other waitress at my party, I collected the gratuity and it needed to be collected well to save myself from further embarrassment. I paid her right then and there took the $60 I originally gave her back as well. in my opinion, they ripped me off they said 50+ people there was only 21 and nor did I get to talk to any manager or anyone in charge

I really wanted to like this place, we’ve been looking for a nice playground to be able to hang out at. My son really enjoyed playing on the playground. However, when my boyfriend and I ordered our food, we ordered two burgers and one side of fries to share. They only brought one burger and one side of fries and the waiter (long curly hair guy) said he didn’t know how he missed putting in the second one.. he also took about 20 minutes to bring me a drink and then, when the second burger arrived, I had already finished mine and it came with a second side of fries which I thought were maybe courtesy of the mistake. My boyfriend handed him the card on the way to the restroom and he ran the card without Ever bringing us a check to sign. When I asked about it, he said he could text it to me and the receipt showed that they had added a gratuity to our party of three. With all of the waiters mistakes without accountability and shady activity with the tip, I don’t think we will be coming back.

The Cuban was ok but seemed to be a bit dry and lacking in flavor. The fries here are unlike any I’ve ever had and very tasty. The old fashioned was pretty poor, I couldn’t even finish it. The environment is cool with an awesome outdoor area.

You pay for the atmosphere honestly. The service was slow and she needed more help but she tried her best. The food was okay but it was expensive and I went during happy hour or whatever it’s called. We got 2 (small) margaritas, small pizza, a burger without cheese, and I asked for the brisket nachos but got fajitas and two sodas for $75

We were a party of 5 and were charged gratuity of 21.00! Our waitress barely checked on us! Food was decent kids had fun on playground but i didn’t appreciate being charged gratuity. If I would have known that beforehand I wouldn’t have left an additional tip!

The place is nice and the employees are nice. The problem we had was the food came out randomly so a lot of us had to wait. The fries didn't come out with our hamburgers so we waited for that as well. And the fries were cold when we got them. They don't tell you but they add the gratuity.

When we arrived, the inside of the restaurant had a really strong chemical smell so we opted to sit outside. I don't know what the issue was but even my kids noticed it. We almost left but I'm glad we stayed because they loved the playground and the food was decent. The queso reminded me of skating rink queso, so if you're into that, you'll like it. The server was very helpful so all in all a good experience mostly for the outdoor atmosphere.

My IPA wasn't super cold and the fries weren't especially hot. The kid chicken tenders were good and crispy and hot. My sandwich was tasty but not amazing, though my toddler did prefer the beef to her chicken tenders. The playground is good but not so much for a small two-year old. There is a loose board on the rock climbing section of the large structure (forgot to snap a photo). Good amount of birds and crows if you like that, as well as a few flies (not knocking any stars for that, just an FYI). When I arrived around 1140 or so I was informed there was only one person (she was fine/good) working the front so no table service. Overall okay but will look for something else next time I take my kid to the Doseum.

Food was sub par for the price and my kids chicken tenders were pretty burnt. My kids would not eat them. However the atmosphere for the kids is great as it features a large outdoor with kids playground. If stopping for a drink I do recommend. Service was a bit slow for the amount of people that were there. Worth another go

Tried the wings, no flavor. Wings were just cooked then some bottled sauce thrown on it, queso chips, melted Velveeta which was warm not hot. Salsa for chips, had no pica at all, neither did the wings. Disappointing, but will try again and do the pizza which they are known for. I'll give it another try because the restaurant is very family friendly.

We celebrated my son in law's 40th birthday this weekend. We made lunch reservations since we are a large group with kids. When we arrived, our reserved tables were clearly marked and ready for us. The server assigned to us said she was new but she did a great job at handling so many of us on separate checks. She was friendly, attentive and sweet. My apologies for not remembering her name. We ordered a lot of food! I didn't get to take photos with so many of us but my son loved the pulled pork sandwich. The fries were also great and crispy. We got several pizzas and they were all cooked well and delicious (and I'm picky with pizza). We also got beer and cocktails. The beer was cold. The cocktails were great but contained a lot of ice, which melted quickly in the sun. They have several beer/drink flights and I loved that. We tried all of them. Our bill was a bit higher than we expected. They also add an automatic 20% gratuity for large groups but they did tell us about it when we arrived. The playground was a nice addition for the little ones. It is in a contained space so you don't have to worry as much about little wanderers. There were a lot of children playing. They also have a lot of fans in the outside area. The day heated up quickly so these were really appreciated. The signs outside are funny! Inside there is a cute bench/photo wall for family pics or selfies. This place is also dog friendly. In fairness, I don't visit a lot of dog friendly places (I love dogs, just not with my food). In my opinion, this is where things fell short. You could smell the faint odor of dog poop everywhere. We changed tables twice to try to distance ourselves from the smell. Some areas were worse than others but you could still smell it everywhere. Oddly, there were no dogs there when we arrived at 1 pm. It made us feel uneasy about allowing the babies on the playground turf. I am unsure if this is common of dog friendly establishments but it really impacted our experience. Our intention was to spend a few hours celebrating but we couldn't take it. We ate, sang Happy Birthday and left. We could still smell it on us after we left so we had to go shower before going elsewhere. Sadly, I would not return to dine in or hang out here but I would still order a pizza to go!

I DO NOT RECCOMEND! My family and I went there this past weekend. Terrible service, first it took forever for someone to take our drink order. They only had one Menu for a family of 5. Finally, the waiter came and put our drink orders in on his little machine but still got our drinks wrong. We ordered sweet tea and lemonade for the kids. The sweet tea was disgusting, it tasted like it had been sitting for a few days. the lemonade was also disgusting. The food was pretty good other than my daughter's pizza was covered in grease I had to dab it with a paper towel. Also, no shade over the playground. THERE WAS A WASP NEST UNDER THE TABLE WHERE WE WERE EATING. Also, the waiter included his own gratuity of 20% which he only deserved about 5$ if that. I will not be coming back to this restaurant

No TV’s outside = zero college or NFL games; they take a ‘Lord of the Flies’ approach to placing an order. Beautiful space that needs a motivated manager. This could be a great place.

We went Friday. There was like 10 people total. The food was aweful. The nachos were the nastiest, sorry to say. The pull pork was almost all fat. The sliders were not good either. It was dead and not lively at all. It's cute inside, but it was literally not a great place. I was expecting a lot better. The rum drink I ordered was the best thing about everything.

Why was the queso so processed and bagged tortilla chips!? Everything else was so fresh and seemed freshly made. Pizza was good. Cool atmosphere. Chicken strips too spicy for kids. No service inside, order at bar and get your own food.

J

Dont get me wrong the food was seasoned to a tea, however none of the food we order cane out at the same time and it was cold even before we waited for the rest of our meal. Many times the servers got “confused” about what we ordered and gave us things we didn't order multiple times. Not even to mention the fact the people at the table behind us told us that they were waiting for there food longer than we were there!

To start, when I entered the establishment with two other people we were not greeted by the host and the woman was not friendly at all. When we were seated it took about 15 minutes to get menus and at that the server dropped them off and walked away without getting our drink orders. Another 10 minutes passed by and were able to order drinks from the bar, we got the flight and a Hawaiian blue cocktail, I would note that they all tasted poorly made and not a single one of them were pleasant. Finally food, we ordered some chips and queso, some fries, pizza, and some of the wings. The chips were soggy and unpleasant, when telling the server she stated that she already knew how they were and that there was no need to explain furthermore. The buffalo wings arrived and they were dry with no sauce at all, so naturally we asked the food runner if we can have some more buffalo sauce hoping we could fix it ourselves. The food runner then tells us that we should tell our server that and then walks away, very dismissive and didn’t try to help our horrible experience already. In conclusion I gave this restaurant 2 stars because the god given water was great, but if you would like to have the worst experience possible at a restaurant that looks good online only then definitely come here!

Nice staff but sadly the only part that was good. Music being played was horrible and that alone made me want to leave immediately. All the food was so salty and the hummus platter was so underwhelming for being pricey. Regular burger was so salty and drenched in mayonnaise. The wings weren't too bad but the ranch was just not good.

The PBJ pizza was tasty but over priced. Service was non-existent....we had to order takeout in order to eat and get our own drinks. Other tables had repeat visits from the server, pichers of ice water, etc. Will not be back.

They forgot our order, one of them. There’s no magherita pizza on the menu, when requested that they add basil and tomato’s to the cheese pizza (very simple request) and our waitress with the straight black hair clipped back said “ the kitchen is really strict with their menu”.since they can’t add 2 ingredients on a simple cheese pizza I would think they’re serving frozen pizzas. The pizza came burnt , tasted disgusting. Wings are okay, but overall this place is mid. Took around 20 minutes to even get a waitress after we were seated and then some more to get any service. Only come here if you plan on drinking and not eating, they are not good for dining in service.

This is horrible. If I could give 0 stars or negative stats I would. This is what $16 gets you. I will not be back that's for sure. I got a pulled pork grilled cheese with bacon. The bacon was bacon bits and looked like it was made on HEB .99 bread.

Kinda disappointing as we've been dying to try this newish place out. Went to the bar to order food, wanted fried pickles but the fryer wasn't working. Tried to order bean & cheese, they were completely out. Finally decided to get 2 orders of chips y queso to share. Chips were old & stale, tasted awful. The queso filled up a quarter full (if that) of the 2 little plastic containers & tasted like plastic. They did comp that being barely any queso. The beers were warm. Not a good experience 😕 and I doubt we'll be back to give another try.

Arrived around 4pm on a Sunday and noticed tons of signs saying to wait to be seated. Hostess came up, asked where we’d like to sit and then told us to order drinks at the bar and since we decided to sit outside and because “it’s just two of yall” she said we’d also have to go back inside to order our food. We walked up to the bartender, he looked at us and walked away without even telling us anything or acknowledging anything. The menu was all over the place and to order online you’d be forced to sign up for their app and create a profile. Prices were higher than usual and nothing fancy or different than places nearby. The place itself was dark and stuffy and had a bad smell like a dirty bar or spilled alcohol wet carpet . They were not very busy with a lot customers but we didn’t feel welcomed or in a nice atmosphere. Walked out and won’t be coming back. Very disappointed because we have a large family and were checking out the place before we had everyone back for a dinner outing. Upon walking out, I addressed the hostess and told her “thank you” and there was no comment or response. Just a blank stare. If anyone asks, I would definitely not recommend this place at all.

There was a hair baked into our pizza crust. The beer was warm at best and tasted a bit off. The place also smelled a bit musty which should have been the signal for us to turn around.

I’ve visited several times and unfortunately, it’s always been a disappointment — whether it’s the service, food, or especially the way the bar operates. The most frustrating part is the bar process. When did it become normal for a bartender not to take multiple orders at once, and for there to be a line just to place a drink order? I understand part of the reasoning, but from a financial standpoint, it doesn’t make sense. When we trained our own bar staff, they could handle a full bar top and keep going. Yes, it was fast-paced and stressful, but it made all the difference for our customers — they got consistent, quality drinks and a friendly one-on-one interaction. To me, that comes down to training and management, not the bartenders themselves. The staff seem capable, but the system they’re working under doesn’t serve them — or the customers — well.

Passed this place on the way to the DoSeum and thought it looked neat and had a kids play place, so we decided we'd check it out. Decided to look past the 3.9 star rating, which was obviously a mistake. Got there a little before 5 PM, so it wasn't busy. We were seated promptly by the hostess, and then everything went downhill from there. Multiple wait staff passed by us for over 10 minutes without even acknowledging our existence. We tried making eye contact with them as they strolled by, and they just continued about their business as if we didn't exist. I raised my hand as one waitress passed and said "excuse me ma'am". She glanced over at me and just continued on her merry way, completely ignoring me. Just an absolute abysmal lack of customer service and attentiveness. 10/10 would not recommend.

Would give this 0 stars if I could. Awful customer service. Ordered drinks and got our food before we ever got drinks. Had to ask 3 times for our drinks. Ordered a pizza and it came out BURNT.. also the bathrooms were out of order the whole time. They were the location for Irreverent Warriors hike. Once they left on the hike the hostess came around asking for everyone’s license plates cause they were calling tow trucks to tow the veterans and active duty members cars for the event that was hosted there. TERRIBLE. will never return because of that…

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this place, but I wish I’d trusted my gut and walked out the moment I stepped inside. From the jump, the vibe was off. Service was rude and painfully slow. Not “busy night” slow—more like “we don’t care” slow. Our server barely seemed annoyed by every question, and disappeared for long stretches of time. Refills? Forget it. Now let’s talk about the food, because that was somehow just as disappointing. Everything came out lukewarm, like it had been sitting around for a while. The flavors were bland at best and straight-up bad at worst. One dish was overly salty, another tasted like it came from a freezer and went straight to the microwave. What really sealed the deal, though, was watching how the owner interacted with the staff. You could tell morale is nonexistent, and that kind of energy bleeds into everything: the service, the food, the overall experience. If this is how he treats his employees in public, I can only imagine how bad it is behind the scenes. The restaurant itself wasn’t doing any favors either. Tables were sticky, bathrooms were messy, and the whole place felt neglected, like no one is taking pride in maintaining it anymore. It feels like a business that’s just coasting, relying on past reputation or location, without putting in any effort to actually earn customers. By the time we left, we were more frustrated than full. There are way too many good restaurants out there to waste your time or money on one that doesn’t respect its customers or its staff. I won’t be back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else.
