EDÁ popped on my radar months ago because of instagram and I always wanted to go. Today I went and I’m so glad I did! I ordered a couple of empinadas and they were amazing! Highly recommend the Beef and Cheese. It was savory, flaky, and delicious!! Customer service was on point and the atmosphere was amazing. At $5 an empinada, you cannot go wrong with these flavors! Highly recommend trying them out!

10/10 experience! Everything was so good and the owners were so kind! I got a passion fruit matcha (which I highly recommend) and my husband got a taro milk tea with boba. The empanadas were amazing and authentic and I will definitely be back!!

Simply delicious! The empanadas here are some of the best I've ever tasted, and their desserts like the alfajor are super delightful. Honestly, this place is now my top spot in San Antonio!

Loved these empanadas!!! I got the potato & beef & chicken, so good!! If you’re from Cali & know about Porto’s, these might even top Porto’s!! Super cute inside, extremely delicious, & don’t forget about a dessert (I got a churro). Will definitely be returning!

I have to say that they have really good empanadas! The filling was great! I got one chicken and one beef! Both really good!! The atmosphere was super chick! Loved it! Very clean restrooms. So far the best empanadas found in San Antonio! The only thing, Slightly on the pricey side.

Went for lunch on Wednesday with a few co-workers. There was one other person eating there, but we were welcomed to a friendly smile. She gave us the breakdown of the different choices. I ended up getting Beef Saltena and Mango smoothie; along with a 3-pack of beef, Colombian beef, and Apple. The beef saltena was my favorite one followed by the Colombian beef was more of a corn empanada with a pulled meat. The chimichurri went perfectly with the empanadas and the Mango smoothie (without Boba) washed it all down. Will come back to this place for lunch again.

Tried the vegan empanadas with tofu and black beans. Took 15 minutes to bake fresh and they were delicious! Will definitely be returning to get more as well as trying the other types of empanadas. Came back for more Vegan empanadas and tried six different others! Loved them all: Beef, Beef Salteña, Chicken, Chicken Salteña, Apple and Dulce de Leche con Banana!!!

I've been wanting to try this place for as long as I can remember. I was doing some errands and so I finally decided to get some. The firstly the empanadas I got were the ham and cheese, pepperoni and cheese, beef and cheese, chicken, chorizo/eggs and cheese, and chicken Salteña. I like to say my personal favorite was the beef and cheese. It had such a unique flavor and the seasoning they used blew my mind. The next one is the chicken one though very flavorful as well I just preferred the beef over this one but its very close. The chorizo and egg was good but I was picturing more of a Mexican style chorizo and egg taco but empanada form u was a bit disappointed. It was a little dry for me as well. All in all I had a great experience and the food was better than expected. The pricing was also very reasonable. I will definitely be coming here again to try other flavors and if you're in the area come check it out.

If you’re looking for the most delicious and authentic Colombian and Latin American empanadas in San Antonio, this is the place to be! The dough is perfect, and the fillings are seasoned to perfection—whether you choose beef, chicken, or cheese, each bite bursts with authentic Colombian or latin flavors. Their aji sauce is the perfect complement, adding just the right amount of spice and freshness. Pair your empanadas with a refreshing Colombian soda or a fresh juice, and you’ve got an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is welcoming, the place is nice and clean, and the quality of the food is unmatched. Whether you’re craving a taste of home or trying Colombian food for the first time, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Empanadas were soooo delicious! Great size and they definitely don’t cheap out in the stuffing! Worth every buck!! The manager was so hospitable, welcoming and friendly! So glad we stopped by! Definitely will be back! We emptied out the place! Stocked up and took a variety home! The logo is on the empanada!!! 🤩🤩🤩

Freshly baked, meat is always moist, crispy and smooth. The salsas are unlike anything I've had. They've even got fruit teas, Boba and coffee! Come here and treat yourself.

Delicious and healthy empanadas (unless you eat 6 of them like me). Outstanding service and food quality. Who thought you could find Boba and empanadas under one roof! Make sure to take some empanadas to go.

If you love empanadas, you'll rave about this place. They have a variety of both savory and sweet empanadas (more variety of savory though) and alfajores, a type of filled cookie most commonly found in Argentina and Peru. They just opened their doors and people are already finding their way! Oh yeah, don't forget to ask for the chimichurri sauce (native to Argentina and also popular in Uruguay) Seriously though, these empanadas are tasty, so watch out cause you'll probably get hooked!

Just when the world needed a hero, EDÁ came in and shone a bright light onto a city that was long overdue for an empanada spot. Truly authentic style and taste. The small and minimalistic aesthetic indubitably allows the wizards in the back to focus on the integrity within the unique flavors that latin american cuisine is notoriously famous for. Not to mention, there are plenty of vegetarian options and the vegan empanada doesn't feel like an afterthought, as most places do when offering vegan alternatives. Learning some of the staff is also vegan, it always helps me make a decision regarding restaurants who actually care about their plant based guests. Do not sleep on this place! There is something for everyone! Sweet, savory, vegan, meat, you name it! The savory ones come with this ridiculously good sauce that I want poured on my entire life. I had the Pasta Frola which is the cutest little guava pie as well. Apparently you can ask for it warm! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, keep up the good job! 🥳💖

Came to this little shop looking for dessert after having lunch next door (Wei Chow, fabulous Taiwanese/Asian food btw). This was newly opened yesterday (11/16/2023)! Damn, missed the opening and being the first one to review! Anyway, it is located near a residential area on Bandara Rd crossing Camino Bandera, in a small business plaza with plenty of shared outside parking. Cosy and small store that captures your nose with the amazing smell. They have all kinds of sweet and savory (salty) empanadas to choose from. You will always be greeted by the friendly staff with a smile. Tried the guayaba y queso empanada. Perfect sweet dessert after lunch; the surface is slightly crispy and after the first bite the amazing filling will overflow out requiring you catch them. All is worthwhile. Almost like an upgraded peanut butter jelly sandwich but even better. Will definitely come to try out more of their different flavors. Keep up the good work Empanadas De Acá!

Saw article in the paper about this place. WOW-Very good, seasoning on point/delicious/savory, with dessert & vegan options. People are extremely friendly here. Hidden on the side of the strip center located behind Wei Chow off Bandera Rd. We will be back. Give them a try 😉

So good! Got the family pack and a honey lemon tea with lychee boba. I tried the chicken-potato, apple, and pineapple-cream cheese empanadas. Highly recommend!! So yummy! The crust is perfectly crispy and the flavors are so flavorful and well balanced.

Spectacular!!. The empanadas were absolutely delicious — unique flavors, perfectly baked, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. I tried all of them, and every single one exceeded my expectations. They were very well seasoned. The place itself is beautiful and welcoming. I came all the way from Florida, and I would come back again and again without hesitation.

It's rare that I write a review for ANYTHING on the same day that I visit. But this place deserves it, so here it goes! I had the chicken saltenas empanada - it's basically the same as their chicken empanada, but it has egg and some raisins (not very many, so don't let it scare you off) added to it for a very slightly sweet taste. The shredded chicken in this thing was juicy as all get out, but not so juicy as to ruin the perfectly baked crust, or make it soggy. I don't know what marinade or seasonings they are using on their chicken saltenas, but OMG, I'm thinking about driving back there tonight for another one! The owners are the friendliest people around, and they explain everything to you. Although it's a walk-up counter to order and get your food, this place is VERY classy on the inside. Count me as a new fan - REALLY! walk-up

What a wonderful place for authentic South American cuisine! These empanadas (meat pies) are the real deal. They have a wonderful selection, some ready-made for quick dining, or fresh from the oven for those that can sit and enjoy the clean, modern atmosphere. The owners were on hand and were very friendly and kind. Whether you are out with the family or looking to cater your next work function, EDÁ is ready to serve you and you will love it!

Loved this place. Friendly service I got the empanada. The filling was good, but the crust was very hard. Not like Mexican Empanadas. My friend tried the cookies and said they were good. The coffee they serve is a French Press, so not like a Starbucks type coffee. It was good though.

The good 👍 – A beautiful establishment with very good food (a solid 7.5/10). The not-so-good 👎 – The menu feels limited, and the pricing carries more of a New York tag than the experience justifies. The place would also benefit from offering a wider variety. During my brunch visit, the restaurant was empty (I was the only one sitting there - on a Saturday noon), with only a couple of small pickup orders. Still, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a new spot to try.
