Habibi Cafe San Antonio Reviews
Amazing staff... Good food plus a genius on how to set up different hookah flavors.
My husband and I visited this gem for lunch. The food was delicious! I had the chicken shawarma over humus. My husband had the gryo plate. I especially enjoyed the Chai tea. The service was wonderful as well as the atmosphere. I highly recommend.
Great vibes, food, and HOOKAH!!! Best service from Nizar, super friendly and sweet. Would highly recommend this place if you are in the Alamo Heights area.
Thank you Nizar my brother! I appreciate the great service. The hookah here is top notch, and you have the chill Alamo Heights vibe here. Prices are especially fair for the area.
My experience at Habibi Café was amazing! The food was incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and very welcoming. I truly enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend Habibi Café to everyone❤️🙏🏻
Nizar was PHENOMENAL!! Request him because he will give you the best customer service. He is super sweet and is so accommodating! I will absolutely come back and request him! Thank YOU Nizar!👏🏼
Everything was amazing to the service staff to the food my experience there was very relaxing thank you for the customer service is very cool👍👍
I been coming here since even before this place was Habibi Cafe. It started as “Heights Cafe” under a different owner and that’s how long I been coming here to Habibi. I would say around 8 years now. The owner is super nice and the servers are always attentive. Chloe the server knows my usual hookah order. The food here is pretty amazing too so you can eat some good food while smoking shisha. I come here often to relax, hangout with friends, and play board games with friends.
The lounge has a nice setup and relaxing atmosphere. However, I was surprised to see parents bring a small child inside while people were smoking hookah. It felt uncomfortable seeing a baby sit in the middle of all that smoke. The staff were polite when I mentioned it and said it is up to the parents. I wish there were clearer rules about age limits or smoke exposure. Otherwise, it is a good spot for adults to unwind.
First time I’m trying this spot, and I must say it’s freaking good as hell! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma over a bed ove rice and it is good. The chicken was perfect. It was seasoned well, the rice was cooked just right and the lettuce added that missing link between the two. I’m definitely ordering from this place again!
First time visiting this restaurant/hookah bar- will not be going back. 1. There was one girl who was the hostess and waitress- she was not super friendly, and spent the majority of the time doing hookah vs tending to the guests at tables 2. The food is subpar- I got the Chicken Tikka- the chicken was dry, I was not even interested in finishing it after a few bites 3. On a positive note, the Chai tea was excellent- prob my favorite part of the whole visit. Definitely unimpressed and disappointed in the service and food.
Not worth it. If you like your fayoosh salad with half burnt pita chips and without parsley go for it ($7.99 and small portion size). My mistake, I ordered two to go and now stuck with a mountain for burnt pita chips taking up room in my trash can. The “house dressing” is some sort of cheap oil without any seasoning added… you literally get container of oil and this is sold as the “house dressing.” The was part of a $75 order. Again, my mistake for not reading the reviews before ordering. This is not really a restaurant, it’s more of a smoke shop. The chicken and gyro dishes were acceptable. I wouldn’t waste you time and money here.
Worst food ever, my meat is burned and when I called them about it they didn’t have a care in the world
The hookah was OK but the staff was extremely unfriendly and they dont seem to know what they're doing. The food was not good at all, I did not even eat it
We ordered food in phone. When we get there there was a lady extremely rude. Our food arrived the food was stale and bad. I asked the lady about food a d she was like what you want me to do. Like you work here you dont know then chef came he told us he made rice in the morning. And it was sticky and bad odor was coming. Then he told us rice will take 1 hour to made you can order something else. We ordered chicken shawarma wrap and it was disaster. So dry. I never ever recommend anyine to go here.
I did not enjoy my experience here. The food was mediocre. There are far better restaurants with food options similar that are better tasting. Also, the pita was cold. The ambiance was basic. I guess for hookah it works because either has a dive bar feel.
We went there for a party. Server asked if everyone is ready, when she asked me, I told her I want beef kabab and she replied we dont have that, I guess you are not ready to reply. How would I know what items are available on the menu. Also, they have only three or four items available that night. Once order was placed it came after two hours. People who came after me got their food first, some didn't get food. They were understaffed and unorganized, also the attitude of a server was very poor. Food was good once it arrived.
