Two Bros BBQ San Antonio Reviews
We really wanted Barbecue today and some of our favorite spots are closed on Sunday. We found this gem on West Avenue. We had brisket, baby back ribs, mac n cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was phenomenal, perfectly cooked with a very nice peppery rub. The baby back ribs had a smoked cherry glaze on them that was subtle but exquisite. The mac n cheese! OMG! So, creamy and cheesy, homemade to the core. The slaw starts good but finishes a little sour. I'm not a fan of poppy seeds so we will try the beans or green beans next time. Service is quick, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly service and atmosphere! Enjoyed it very much!
Best ribs and potato salad I’ve had in a lonnnggggg time. Nice shaded outdoor area. Thanks for the military discount . God bless
Two Bros is great BBQ in the heart of San Antonio. Most famous BBQ places are in the middle of nowhere or in relatively small towns, so it's great to have such a strong option in the city. The ribs are consistently delicious, and the pulled pork is probably some of the best I've had. The fatty parts of the brisket are almost perfect but sometimes the leaner side is a bit dry. Try the cheesy chop or enormous mozzarella logs if you love cheese, and get a table outside to enjoy their patio.
First time visit for me, and I wasn't disappointed. I had a very tasty sausage link with a slice of bread and onion. Also had a bit a brisket which was pretty darn good. The restaurant itself had a homey feel to it and plenty of shade trees outside of you and to eat on the piknik tables. Definitely be visiting again.
First time eating Texas BBQ in Texas. Wow. Smell hits you as you walk in the door, and it just goes up from there! Sausage has great snap and flavor, Ribs are juicy and full of flavor, as is the pulled pork and smoked chicken. The absolute star here is the brisket, buttery and just melt in your mouth! Definitely the best BBQ I have ever eaten.
My first Texas BBQ experience, and it was absolutely amazing!!! I was hesitant about the food at first, and totally mind blown that we had to eat off of paper, but it was soooo good! The corn was to die for, and the meat just melted in your mouth. The mac and cheese was great, but it doesn't make the best leftovers. I have told so many people about this place, and they're always amused at my reaction (I'm not from here. What do you expect? 😂). I'm for sure returning when I can!!
This is our Friday afternoon spot, especially because of the playground. You get to enjoy your meal while watching your kids play . Yes flies font help but its understandable since its outdoors. You can also dine in inside. Sometimes there is a singer so you get to enjoy some music. Food is always a10/10
We just had the best time and the BEST food! The chop and mac n cheese was top notch, the sandwiches are great, kids meals were huge, and the prices good, too! Plus, we're enjoying the awesome weather and the huge outdoor play place. It's so kid friendly and relaxing all at the same time. I can't wait to come back. 👍❤️
We were having a last minute going away dinner for my son and needed a central location for everyone to meet up. I'd had a couple of lunches at Two Bros BBQ 4-5 years ago and loved the food and the setting so we took a chance. We showed up with 15-16 people 2 hours before close and hoped for the best. We were so happy we did! Everyone loved the brisket and sausage, especially with the peach BBQ sauce! All the sides were generous and tasty. They even gave us some jalapeno poppers with homemade ranch that were amazing! But I have to say, better than the food, was the young men working there. They explained everything patiently as our friends ordered, helped us bring out meals and set us up with all the extras like the different sauces and the spicy pickles!! Even as closing time approached they never rushed us. They really were great and helped us have a wonderful goodbye dinner. Thanks so much, Two Bros!!
It has been awhile since I've been here, probably 5 years ago. My in laws were from San Antonio and lived right around the corner from this place. LOVED this place, Brisket and Sausage was outstanding!!!. Have not been back to SA in a long time as my mother in law was the last to pass there about 5 years ago. If we ever make it back again will definitely put this on my must go list. We have lived in North Carolina for 20 years now and don't have a lot of reasons to go back very often anymore.
Checking this place out for lunch today. It already has a line and smells delicious. Picked up the "Big Bro sandwich", 1/4 of brisket to go, and some fried strawberry pie. Got to say their brisket was pretty delectable which made that sandwich all the more worth it. Keeping the side brisket to throw in some homemade tortillas tomorrow morning for breakfast :)
Finally Found My BBQ Place in San Antonio.... So So Good!! Pulled Pork is was Favorite..The Sliced Brisket was Flavorful and Juicy The Choppd Brisket was Amazing!! My Son Ate it all ..Them Strawberry Fried Pies!! Laaaawd... I had a Frito Pie And Bought Some bbq to Go!! it was My First Visit Will Definitely Be Back..
Matt and Noah definitely rolled out the BBQ red carpet for my family and I. We loved the potato salad and pulled pork. My kids and niece definitely enjoyed the outdoor playground. Happy holidays!
Very friendly staff who were very helpful right as we walked in the door. We tried all the meats. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the brisket. Sides of mac n cheese and creamed corn are also a must. Be sure to stop in. You won't be disappointed. Great play area for the kids too!
Great place . A must try when in San Antonio!! This place is a bitter sweet place first time I was there was a few yrs ago, my nephew took me with is family when I went to go visit!! Loved it. They have the best Kool-aid.. 😁 the food is amazing.. and the last time I was there is in remembrance 💔 of my nephew 11/14/25. It was Soo good and they give you so much food I brought back some home to Los Angeles, CA for husband!! And he loved it!! And the best place for kids to enjoy themselves, as well!
Came here for the first time with my partner, and it did not disappoint! We each got the chopped beef and macaroni bowl! Our order took a little bit longer than expected to come out, and they gave us a free banana pudding dessert! Staff was super friendly as well! Best food I have had in a while!
Excellent food, with friendly and efficient service. We had gone to the Smoke Shack, but a very unhappy cashier told us we had to wait 50 minutes for our food. So we tried Two Bros BBQ and we are so glad! Try the brisket and the ribs, and have some cole slaw and potato salad. It some of the best BBQ we have ever tried.
We were looking for a local place to grab some real BBQ while making a pit stop exploring beautiful San Antonio. Quick google circled out this place so we decided to give it a shot. It was a full hit. It's exactly what you look for when you want to enjoy great genuine bbq spot. Meat was juicy and perfectly smoked, seasoned to perfection. We truly enjoyed it. Choice of sides was also good and what would you expect of a bbq place. Interior and outside was also amazing. In any case, full recommendation for this place.
Ordering on the website was quick and easy. We ordered the Hungry Bros pack and everything we ate was incredibly tasty. The sides were a little light and not enough to feed 6 to 8 people so next time I'll just get one side and double it. But the meat fed 6 people easily with leftovers enough to feed six people the next day. Definitely recommend!
Gather 'round, Texans and BBQ enthusiasts alike! We've found a gem in Two Bros Street BBQ Market, and it's a must-visit, especially now that the fall weather is rolling in. The patio is calling our names, and the food? Oh boy, it's a real treat! The kids (ahem, our 9-year-old twin girls) had a blast on the playscape while we waited for our meal. But the real stars of the show were the jalapeño poppers - "poppin'" delicious, if you will. The kids gave them two thumbs (and two forks) up! Now, onto the main event: the 'cue. We're talkin' chicken, sausage, brisket, and ribs that would make even the most seasoned Texans proud. And the BBQ sauces? Mind. Blown. We've got a Carolina-style sauce that's not too vinegary, a Texas-inspired sauce with a hint of coffee (yum!), and a chili sauce that'll leave you wondering how they got it so right. Kid-approved, of course! Sides were a hit too - creamy Mac and cheese and cream corn that'll make you wanna lick the plate (don't pretend like you won't). On a crisp fall night, we enjoyed our meal under the stars, sipped on some wine, and let the good times roll. The perfect way to unwind! We love us some Chef Dady! Get on out there and give it a try!
Went here yesterday for the first time with a friend. She flew in from Kansas and wanted Texas BBQ. I didn’t want to take her to a chain so I chose Two Bros. I was happy with me choice. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoor seating. I will definitely be back with my family so my little one can enjoy the playground.
This is one of the best spots in the San Antonio area for some tasty Bbq! I have dined in different BBQ joints around San Antonio and by far this one is my favorite. All the staff are friendly and will actually talk to you. The atmosphere has a friendly and overall down home feel. It has a nice playground for the children, nice outdoor seating and the indoor area is themed nicely. All the meat choices are very delicious and the smoke ring in the Ribs & Brisket is excellent. The Ribs are my favorite and had that delicious smoke flavor everyone craves. The sides were very, very delicious and well portioned. We had a pint of Potato Salad, Cream Corn and a small portion of Mac n Cheese, all tasted amazing! Although we did not order their Sausage, Pulled Pork, Chopped Pork or other tasty choices, we were too full for anything else. I ordered dessert twenty minutes later for my wife & child and it was Fried Strawberry pies, good choice by the way. I had no room for anything else so we relaxed outside in the outdoor area until we left. I want to thank the staff and Joshua for letting me take pictures of the smoking area out back. They use good Oak firewood with their steel and brick pits! My overall rating is based on the friendly staff, tasty food and the dining atmosphere. I highly recommend this Bbq spot for your friends and family! (Their BBQ is 100% authentically made).
This is a unique BBQ spot in San Antonio. It's the only one I know of that serves a vinegar sauce with their pulled pork in the San Antonio area. The chopped beef is really savory, hearty. The sauce doesn't overpower the meat. The only thing I would say that would improve the sandwiches is toast the buns. It would make the sandwich absolutely delightful and add a bit of crunch. Some may want a shot of slaw on the sandwich
Order brisket with Mac and cheese, they have a name for it. Loved it ! I had to have bbq before I head back home to Tucson. And the women caught me out was awesome had a conversation about the rest cost where we both are from. She gave me shit about being from Jersey LOL, she's from Queens. All good worth the trip. ❣️
Wow. That’s the first thought that sums up my experience here. On arrival the parking is a bit wonky as is entry. Navigating a large truck through the tiny slopes is a bit difficult but I managed. This places is tucked nicely away in the shade among trees. It has a very clubhouse house vibe- they’ve even built it so that the trees are a part of the inner establishment. As with all smokehouses I’ve been to- you order off the menu and pick up as you pay, like a cafeteria. Then you seat yourself. They have a pretty big selection of items which im sure are all five star quality. The staff member who assisted me was super friendly, welcoming and encouraging. She didn’t balk at how much food I ordered for one and provided me with helpful tidbits of information on flavour profiles and selections. It was greatly appreciated. She even allowed me to sample a side dish I hadn’t been sure id enjoy. Talk about service. Once I paid, I was able to access the pickle bar & seat myself. I tried a couple options per half pound and I absolutely needed to try the chopped Mac. It was phenomenal. There are not enough well crafted descriptive words in existence to describe the experience I had here, and within my mouth. Chopped Mac takes the cake. It’s also huge, a generous portion. The brisket was flavourful and moist. The potato salad was really good as well. I loved their coleslaw- a mix between mayo and vinegar based which I adore. The pulled pork was good and is usually my fav but paled in compression to that dang bbq Mac. The chicken thighs were fantastic as well. Smoked but moist. I tried all three sauces and ended up loving the sweet yellow sauce. The molasses came in second for the brisket. I am glad I came here try one of the top rated smoke houses in San Antonio. It did not disappoint in any way shape or form. The service was stellar, the food was best and I would return here often if I was a resident. THANK YOU!
This place had everything you could want in a BBQ restaurant. We tried the sausage, ribs, and pulled pork. Loved it all and thought everything was cooked perfectly. The sides were great too! We ordered the cream corn, coleslaw, and beans (which are prepared with bacon and peaches). The kids loved the playground and sand. We went on a Saturday and caught the live music which just completed the experience. Oh and the cobbler was delicious! We appreciated that they were generous with the ice cream it came with. Perfect ratio.
Took my team of non-Texans to Two Brothers for a dinner near the end of a hard week of work at a convention in SA. I had been there before and loved it. Everyone felt like they had left town and gone to a retreat. Ordered the Fam Bam BBQ Kit which I could reserve. Felt like they served well beyond what was promised. The setting hit the mark, live oak trees and picnic tables and smoke. Meat was tender and sides were on point. Service was perfect.
Living in Wisconsin, yet from Alabama! What an amazing discovery of this beautiful gem. The food is most delicious and the team working here, created an atmosphere of home and family. I have to head back to the great white north, yet if you are looking for amazing ness, this is the place! Thank you guys and much love from Wisconsin!
Two Bros. BBQ Market gave me one of the best dining experiences I've had in the city. The food was incredible-tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was fast, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff cares about creating a great experience for every guest. The atmosphere is just as amazing: relaxed, family-friendly, and full of that true Texas BBQ vibe. Whether you're a local or visiting San Antonio, this is the place you need to stop by. They had live music playing and it was not too loud . I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food, great people, and a place where everyone feels welcome!
Two Bros BBQ Market OMG you can smell the Meaty Smoked Goodness before you even get inside - My Hubby surprised me with BBQ from Two Bros BBQ Market, and it absolutely delivered. We ordered the marbled brisket, and it was incredibly moist with a flavorful bark. The cherry-glazed ribs were cooked to perfection, and the smoked turkey was seasoned well and stayed nice and juicy. For sides, we had the peach-bean mix, which hit that perfect sweet-savory balance, plus the mac & cheese that was extra creamy and delicious. And the peach cobbler? The spices, tender peaches, and crunchy crumble came together flawlessly. We’ll definitely be going back soon to eat there.
This was my first ever experience of authentic Texas brisket. I asked some locals and they recommended Two Bros. When I arrived the staff were so friendly. (Couldn't believe I hadn't had brisket before!). They really looked after me. Food was great. I'll definitely be back. Love from Ireland
Got there right at opening and tried a Turkey, ribs, brisket and sausage. The service was great! They threw me a little cup of Mac n cheeses to try too. Pickle bar is added bonus with 3 great sauces to cover all tastes. Cherry glazed ribs were amazing and my favorite, but all 4 selections were stellar! Big smokehouse was kicking out great smells. One HUGE think i appreciated was the 1030 am open so i could check this one off my list before my flight! Deserves its spot as one of the best in Texas!
Dinner started on a high the moment we walked through the door and ended even higher with our last bite of banana pudding. The tell-tale aroma of smoked meats hits hard and lifts your spirits, so if the line seems long, just hop in and enjoy the wait. The pace of the line was faster than I ever expected, and the food was ready quickly. The meats were all tender, tasty, and had very little fat. I loved the unique baked beans here with its chunks of peaches and the delicious creamed corn with jalapeños. The family's favorite entree was unanimously the Cheesy Chop (macaroni and cheese with chopped beef). Whatever you do, make sure to plan for leftovers so you leave room for dessert. We liked the mixed berry cobbler (served cold... would have been amazing if served hot), ice cream, and fried strawberry pie (was a bit small but hot... and was indeed amazing), but the banana pudding, no kidding, was absolutely out of this world. I can't believe it could taste so delicious but be so light and fluffy. I also didn't know I could eat a pint of pudding, but there you have it. I'm so full yet salivating once again as I type this! Parking seemed sparse, and the decor is no-frills, but you probably aren't coming here for a prom night type of dinner. The price is a little high for the small side dishes, and almost seemed too cheap for the large sides. All in all, are only real gripe is the barbecue sauce. Three flavors, and we couldn't find one we liked... all too vinegary. Of course, we are fans of KC BBQ more than anything, so we like a thick and sweet sauce. We may get the food to go or even bring our own sauce, but just the same, we will absolutely be back. Of course, we will be bringing any friend or family who wants some authentic Texas barbecue.
First time eating at Two Bros. The restaurant is in a small enclosed area off the road. Parking is limited, however doesn’t appear to be busy. Went during the lunch time hour and there were about 2 other groups inside. Staff were friendly and there was good music playing. For the amount of food, the prices appear to be decent and to expensive. We ordered the starter pack which contained sausage, brisket, chicken, and two sides. The food smelled delicious and tasted delicious! The brisket was my favorite!! The Mac and cheese was also delicious and very cheesy!! Kiddos ate mozzarella sticks and had a blast as they were jumbo! They do sell drinks such as beer and canned soda. They also have jugs of water, cool aid, tea and lemonade. Overall it was a great experience and I feel that everyone should give this place a try! You definitely will not be disappointed!!
When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly hello and patience while me and my wife decided what to eat and oh my goodness let me tell ya'\nAbsolutely amazing, the brisket is everything you'd hope…
Been twice now, very consistent. Favorites are Cole slaw ( just perfect for my taste), brisket, sausage, chicken thigh, poppers, sauce, onions pickles, ambiance. Great spot been good to me.

Finally, I found another Fave texas bbq spot. It's a great mid point bbq spot in terms of offerings but really big on taste and flavor. The brisket was perfectly marbled, tender, flavorful, and delicious, no sauce needed, but tasted extra great with their shiner sauce 😀. Once your brisket could be eaten without sauce, it's an A+ for me. Their chop mac n cheese was really delicious, half chopped meat n half mac n cheese delicious. All their meats were delicious. The sides could use a little work, the potato salad was a little salty, no cornbread available and your side sizes are either a pint or a shot lol littlery about the size of a shot glass or sampler cup. The price was reasonable deff cheaper than a lot of other bbq spots, without sacrificing the taste, great value. We went on a Sunday close to lunchtime, it wasn't crowded and not a long wait for food. Deff, give them a try.
So I got two slices of brisket, two ribs, a large mac&cheese and a drink for $27. The brisket was great, perfect flavor and texture. The ribs were not as tender as I prefer. I didn’t care for any of the sauces. The lemonade was Country Time and overly sweet. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. I’m not sure I’ll be back; $27 is fancy dinner prices.
Last visit was not as expected I was charged for Brisket but ordered Ribs ,So check your receipt so you wont get over charged.....I got lucky baby back ribs on a Sunday and a awesome pit tour Thank you...St L ribs are back but good Parking full .1st visit. The service n food very good Ribs Baby Back they change it up sometime Thr Burnt Ends are a hit or miss Brisket seldom dry but happens. The inside is a dive for sure in looks outside much more inviting ..I'll be back too try more..And more of that bbq sauce different good..2nd visit and I'm hooked for sure..Friendly and tasty..creamcorn and beans , Mac n cheese all good .This is a fantastic stop fir sure
It smells delicious in this place! The brisket was tender and flavorful. There are three sauces offered, one is mustard flavored, one is sweet, and one is more of a straight up BBQ sauce. I preferred the regular BBQ sauce, but you're welcome to tell me I'm wrong! Lol The creamy corn wasn't the conventional fluid like creamed corn, it was more chunky. I wasn't sure if I would like it but it was delicious! It really helped put out the fire in my mouth from the stuffed jalapeños! These babies were STUFFED! The bacon was nice and crispy! Just fyi, I am a complete wimp when it comes to spicy food. They might be just fine for some of you. The potato salad was not worth ordering again. It tastes too much like the coleslaw. They have a nice little drink station set up with Kool aid and tea. There is a condiment station with jalapeños, pickles, onions, and sauces. There is a play area outside for kids to be kids. The parking isn't ideal. There are only two handicap parking spaces. I had to park far but it didn't matter. As soon as I opened my car door and smelled the BBQ I practically ran inside! Parking a distance away is ideal though because you need to walk off your food after stuffing your face with this BBQ!
Updating my review from 02/2020 as now post pandemic I made a visit and service has drastically improved. Initially the ordering process through the nearly sealed window was a nightmare. This time the staff was much friendlier and welcoming. The food is consistent. I always return for the brisket and ribs. Glad to have the pickle bar back as the spicy pickles are so good and addicting. The restaurant interior was clean as I witnessed employees flip the tables rather quickly.
Went by myself on a Monday evening. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Playground for kids to jump around. The Smoked Turkey lacked a bit in the smoke flavor profile and the Pulled Pork was wet (beyond moist as you would expect) and seemed a little washed out. The sauces were excellent and made the meats. Banana Pudding and Potato Salad were very good and the Purple Kool-Aid was perfect!
Food was good, was my first time eating here. Brisket was tender and had good flavor. 3 BBQ sauces to choose from, creamed corn was good, had a jalapeno flavor to it. Outdoor dining area was nice, lots of tree cover. Parking wasnt too bad, overflow parking in the rear under some trees. Prices were fair, service was friendly and wasnt supper fast, but wasnt too long of a wait either. Would deffinitely come back for another meal.
We loved the location with a nice wooded type parking lot. Very easy to miss when driving by. Atmosphere is relaxing and has perfect feel for a BBQ joint. The ribs did not have alot of meat but were good. Brisket was very tender and delicious but I had to cut some fat off. Potato salad and jalapeno peppers were decent.
First time stopping by. Was around 2pm, everything still available. Very courteous customer service and prompt help to order. Food arrived quickly. fresh and hot! Pickle bar was on point! Great choice of sauces, too! Sides a little pricing, but Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese were excellent. Cherry glazed ribs and brisket were perfect! Star of the meal....Smoked Artichoke and Spinach Dip w/ Bro Chips!!!! Don't skip this "Pick'in"!!! Shaded outside area with playground area for children that is fenced in! Only warning...Be on the look out for entrance, signage not prominent! Well, worth the stop and will return. Listed as #8 in Top 10 BBQ joints in SA area. Might be a little higher in my opinion.
Brisket and smoked sausage were terrific, but the ribs were a little lacking in substance. I didn’t really care for any of the sauces. Peach cobbler was worth every penny.
1st time here. I got the Big Bro Sandwich and it was for sure big!! It comes with a bag of chips or for an extra $1.50 you can get a small side. I went with the potato salad. The sandwich bun was cold, I was wanting a warm or room temperature bun, it had coleslaw (it was ok) then pulled pork which I felt tasted very dry, large piece of sausage which was good and several slices of brisket. The brisket was very good and needed no sauce at all (I usually try not to put sauce on anything). The potatoe salad was different but great, I loved it. Very flavorful with onions. Atmosphere is great. Nice place for families with kids.
We just randomly went to this place as we were looking for something to eat in the area. We got the chicken thighs and the turkey. Both were good. They had a good smokey taste. The sauces were very meh and bring down the flavor of the meat. They should change those out. If i were in the area id go back.
Food was good. Service was quick. Only negative is the extremely cheap and totally inadequate plastic utensils. It was impossible to eat the brisket with them. You need to bring your own eating utensils when eating here.
Nice atmosphere. We liked the ribs and banana pudding. The rest was so overpoweringly spiced we couldn’t eat it. We really didn’t like the beans, and the barbecue sauce tended to make things taste worse. The coleslaw was OK, but had a lot of vinegar and the aftertaste was all black pepper. Maybe we came on a bad day? I did hear the person working the smoker call someone over to say they had an issue and needed to throw out a whole bunch of something, but I didn’t hear what. Maybe connected, maybe not.
I give this place a 4 out of 5 primarily for the location and atmosphere. The food is decent, the cuts of meat are really good, however the barbecue sauce was not the best. There are three choices but none of them are all that great. Their sausage links are decent although their flavor didn't leave me with something I would crave later. They're brisket was really good, very juicy, and very tender. If they had better barbecue sauce I would give them a five star rating. The location of the atmosphere is great and the smell gives you that authentic Texas barbecue feeling. Not a bad place but I've had much better barbecue elsewhere. If you're looking for something with decent food for a date night or I get together with friends, then I would recommend this place. They have an outdoor area that's spacious and sets a pretty chill mood. I believe they have live music as well, I saw a band setting up while I was eating.
Atmosphere/service: Great setup, customer service was awesome; BBQ was ok. Food: Was hoping for more but didn't quite hit the spot, cuts of brisket also seemed like leftover cuts. Sauces were good, like the fact I can get as much jalapenos and pickles I want. Mac and cheese was one of the best I've had, highly recommend. Sausage was good but nothing spectacular.
It was our first time coming to the restaurant. We ordered the chopped brisket with Mac and cheese. It was good. The brisket needed a little salt for me. I had the pickles on the side. For my drink, I had half lemonade and grape kool-aid. It was fire. We also ordered the artichoke dip with the fresh chips. We will be coming back.

I'm not from here so I go by what I hear from Google reviewers. It's not bad. Maybe even I just expected way more. The brisket was a little bit dry as is the chicken. The sausage was tasty. The ribs although not fall of the bone tender was my favorite. The corn was also good. The Mac and cheese was nothing special. The potatoes salad was flavorful and had a nice crunch from the vegetables.
Hubby was feeling like having BBQ, so we headed to @twobrosbbqmarket for lunch today. It was the first time for Dad and I to try. It was the perfect weather to enjoy lunch outdoors! We ordered the BBQ Starter Kit, which came with 1/2 lb brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, 1/2 lb ribs, 1 sausage, 2 chicken thighs, and 2 sides. The sides we chose were creamed corn, and potato salad. Both were awesome! Unfortunately, most of the meat were on the dry side. The bonus is that Two Brothers is part of the San Antonio Gold Diner's Program. We got the free banana pudding! Hidden along West Ave.is this BBQ place that is super quaint outside and has a nice back patio area with a playground for your little ones. There was a stage in the back, and dogs were welcome in the patio also. However, I wish the food had more flavor! I ordered the cherry ribs and was so disappointed that they were lacking in seasoning, and even the slaw had no real taste. If the food matched the atmosphere, I’d come back.
Daughter chose this place to feed her hungry family. My wife and I ordered two separate brisket sandwiches. The meat was good but plain. Sauces were not to my liking so ate a dry tasteless sandwich I've had much better brisket barbecue.
The staff and the atmosphere is what’s got this rating high. I had ribs, smoked turkey, beans, and potato salad and the bbq sauce and potato salad were the two best parts. I look forward to trying other menu items.
This place could’ve been amazing. Nice rustic location. Decently designed space befitting a bbq joint, but the reason you go is to get good bbq which unfortunately wasn’t what we got. Presentation was great but most of the meats were dry. Though the turkey was delicious. The sides were spot on, especially the creamed corn and mac & cheese. The staff was very gracious of my feedback, which I only give if I think they have potential. Hope they give better for you.
Food was good, not great. Any place I've asked for chopper beef, it's always in the form of a sandwich. Never have I seen it plopped in a paper boat. Mac and cheese tasted great, but good Lord, it's like eating peanut butter. Cream corn was awesome. Plates, none existent. Can we please just end this butcher paper trend, it's stupid and messy. We got a 32oz vat of Mac and cheese and cream corn. I'm supposed to just plop it down on butcher paper? I had to get individual paper boats and dole it out that way. Pretty annoying. Would I go back? Naww. I like plates.
Atmosphere is definitely family friendly. Service was sensational and the food was a decent. Sweet tea and the Koolaid were absolutely delish and brought me back to my childhood with those. Mac and chz could use a little work it has a very powdery texture. Too much flour in the roux sauce. The meats were good but the brisket had a really salty crust to it kinda makes you pucker as you chew. Potato salad was great very creamy and flavorful. impressed with the pickle bar. Probably won’t return for the food but possibly for a cold brew and the atmosphere.
Way to much SALT! This used to be a really great BBQ place. It has not stayed true to great bbq. The chicken, had to take off the skin and rinse it. The sausage was the only good meat. Husband loved the sides but they were a meh for me. Great smoke on the meats but the seasoning is where it all went wrong.
The service is great here! Matthew took care of us quickly and gave plate suggestions. The food is decent and BBQ sauce is meh. The sausage they have are beef so that was a nice change up from the usual pork options. I DO NOT recommend the Mac N Cheese. Not a homemade taste more like highly processed cheese sauce and noodles. The cream corn was really good. You can't really go wrong with the brisket and chicken, smoked really good and the brisket was really tender. The mozzarella sticks, holy cow were huge and delicious 😋
We are always looking for a good restaurant that is family friendly. I was excited to try this bar B Que spot. The area outside is nice. Covered with trees and a cute playground. But I was disappointed with the food. Although the taste was good, our food was cold. I ordered a loaded potatoe and the brisket portion was small with most of it being either fat. The chicken was tough but the flavor was good. I was not impressed with the pulled port or the sausage. Lastly the ribs were very dry. I did enjoy the macaroni and cheese and the spicy pickles. I think That we will just keep looking.
We went here because of all the awards they won in the past. The problem is the most recent I saw was in 2016. Brisket was bone dry, Pulled Pork was not good. Sausage was OK. You can skip the overcooked dead potato and beans. Mac was good. Service was great. Atmosphere didn't get 5 star's because the AC wasn't the best. Honestly, after all the good reviews I expected better.
If you're interested in a real BBQ place, Two Bros. BBQ delivers. The charming repurposed wood home is the perfect setting, including a tree in the middle of the ordering area. The outdoor area included lots of shade and a biergarten. I can imagine it is a great place to hang out on a Friday night. There is a play area for the littles. The staff was friendly and personable. Finally the food, I ordered the big bro, it included chopped beef, a sausage link, and coleslaw on a bun. The sausage link was cut in half, and it was very tasty. The chopped beef was a very generous amount, and the coleslaw slaw added a nice crunch. They provide 3 choices of bbq sauce. Unfortunately the meat was dry and needed the sauce. It is good, but I am very picky about my BBQ.
The food was pretty good. The restaurant desperately needs a facelift, it's run down, dirty, smelly...just old and tired...couldn't really concentrate on the food.

I used to be a big fan of Two Bros but my last visit was really shocking. The food has shrunk in size and quality. The stuffed jalapenos were seriously tiny. We paid $12 for three mozzarella "logs" that were no bigger than regular mozzarella sticks, plus they were cold in the middle and the breading was broken and falling off. The brisket was fine. We've been going here for years but honestly this visit was so bad in so many ways that I doubt we'll come back.
They have good product BUT. My wife and I stopped to get smoked Turkey for sandwiches for the Superbowl. The sign showed Turkey... $12.95. So we ordered a pound. They don't take your money at order point, you pay when you get your order. The very nice lady said $26.00. Well, their excuse was it's $12.95 per portion, which they say is half a pound. No one sells individual bbq items that way. It's $26.00 per pound. Let me think, Turkey is .99 cents a pound and they charge $25.00 to cook it. Now I did get $1.00 worth of pickles and .25 cents worth of white bread, so I guess that justifies it. Must be nice to live on a reputation. Won't be back to be deceptively poked in the other eye.

A rip off!! $30 & I got more in sides than meat. Cream corn was good, the beans disgusting!! Ribs (which I got two little pieces)...just ok, nothing to brag about. Brisket ( I got 3 thin little pieces). A small child quantity, but was tasty!! I will never go back to this place!! Charging people $30 for this, insane!! When I say I was so pissed @ myself for going here. I'm not cheap at all, just dont feel this was worth $30, not even $15. And I asked for cornbread, but was given 4 pieces of plain white bread!! SMH!! Cashier isnt very nice either!!
To be honest I was pretty disappointed. I’ve ate Bbq all over this great state and country of all styles and varieties. This just didn’t rank for me. The skin on the chicken thigh was inedible. Ribs were undercooked, pulled pork was watery. The brisket, sausage, and cream corn were outstanding though. The sauces were thin and watered down. Even though the food wasn’t pleasant the atmosphere was. Staff were friendly. UPDATE: I responded to the generic response from the owner about how we could make this right, lol. Well, as I expected. They never responded. That is why I have further deducted an additional star from this review.
First time here and the ribs/ brisket were horrible. Looked like the meats were cooked a month ago. Brisket was soft and tender. Easy to eat, but flavor tasted like a mediocre roast. There were peaches in the baked beans?? Super cool atmosphere and vibe, but food needs vast improvement. Best part of the meal was the Mac n cheese. Ridiculously expensive for quality.
First time in Texas was really looking forward to good BBQ. I guess I'll have to keep waiting. I ordered take out a and paid $70 for 1lb of brisket, 1lb of baby back ribs and 2 sides. What i got... a couple slices of the driest brisket I've ever tried about about 6 spare ribs. I guess they were closing soon. But rather than giving me the bottom of the barrel garbage that was left and not nearly the amount of food I ordered and paid for. It would've been better to just not make the order and inform me you didn't have the product. I got terrible food and less than ordered. $70 wasted and now I'm hesitant to even try BBQ around here now. Thanks for an absolutely underwhelming and terrible experience and a waste of time and money.
Never been here before. Went in around 6pm and they dont have any prices posted for the meat so i ask how much for a half lb of baby back ribs. $11 he says, but its only going to be 3 bones. Okay so i got that and a pound of brisket. Go to pay its $47 and the half lb of ribs was $16. So im like okay maybe they went over on the ribs whatever. Go home and they only gave me the 3 ribs didnt look like much more than half a pound? I dont even know how much the ribs are supposed to be. Brisket was $28 and very dry not good at all. I will not be going back here 👎
The service is great with everyone smiling and friendly so that was a plus. Went in for lunch while they were not busy at all. Ordered brisket, turkey, Mac n cheese and a drink. First of all, the pickles were tasty along with the sauces in the white and yellow caps. I believe the red sauce is pretty much sweetened coffee syrup mixed with beer. BUT..........The brisket was simply super tough, ZERO flavor and a little warm. I had to really hold each slice and cut into the brisket. The first time, I broke the fork and knife when cutting. The turkey was nothing but oversalted and not warm. The Mac n Cheese tasted like it was made with a powdered cheese mix. The chopped beef was flavorless, dry and room temperature. They did not offer moist brisket when I was there. I would suggest going back to the drawing board for all that I encountered wrong. I assumed the cheesy chop I ordered would have the. Chopped brisket and Mac n cheese mixed together...... instead, they stuff the container half with each. It would probably be better to add beef tallow and have slightly chunkier chopped beef mixed together for the cheesy chop. The Grape Kool Aid was very close to the original but the tea was terrible. Again, food was overall cold and terrible! Not sure how they have a 4.5 rating on Google.
