Town San Carlos Reviews
This place always hits. The steaks are cooked as ordered. Usually have some issues with that at other places. The bread pudding is dangerous. Just dont go hear on a diet. Eat like you mean it hahaha.
French Dip, chocolate cake, fogerabourit all on point. They even brought us Serrano peppers, and that honestly clinched the deal for me. Creamy horseradish, good French roll, medium-cooked beef, so good. If I’m being picky, I like my French dip greasy, salty, and a little fatty. This one was a bit too “clean” for me but it was real good. Service was perfect, and the place is, as always, really nice.
Classic American restaurant with hearty dishes and large portions. I’ve been here many times and it is a reliable place to take friends. During my last visit, I had steak as the entree and bread pudding for dessert. It was delicious! The cocktails are also solid.
Great place with amazing service! At Town you will get sort of a more simplified Cheesecake Factory menu. There's a lot of different things you can order but everything will be cooked well. This was my first time here so I played it safe and ordered a burger (which, was just as good as it looks); everyone else at the table ordered something else (from fish, to Thai salads to bowls) and they all had something good to say about what they ordered. The drinks were delicious, I ordered the Straberries at Oaxaca, which I would 100% recommend if you like mezcal (and if you haven't tried mezcal but like tequila, please do yourself a favor and try it). If you're in the area I would reccomend stopping by for a bite and a drink, won't disappoint!
Came here for lunch with our clients. Been here many times and have always received great service and excellent food. The wait-staff made our dining experience outstanding. They were super friendly, joked with us and very attentive. They made sure our food came out hot and timely, and our drinks replenished. For appetizers we ordered the tomato & burrata and French fries. I had the warm Napa Cabbage Chicken Salad which they're known for and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, and the cabbage was warm and al dente. Everyone's dishes were plated like a work of art. We ended our meal with raspberry sorbet and a warm chocolate brownie (everyone's favorite!)
Consistently good. Been here once a long time ago and remember the steak being good. This time we tried the prime rib $54 and baby back ribs $41. Both dishes were great. Prime rib was tender and cooked just right. Came with a choice of 2 sides in addition to the mashed potatoes which was good. We chose the creamed spinach and mac and cheese, both were great. Mac and cheese was good quality, not excessively cheesy, with a nice baked crust. Creamed spinach was made perfectly, not too salty. Ribs held its form yet meat came off the bones very easily, perfect. It came with a generous serving of light, refreshing coleslaw and some pickles. Portions were all quite generous Service was okay. This place is always busy. Walk ins only. Was able to get seated in about 15 mins on a Fri at 7 pm for a party of 2. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, excellent food, reasonable prices, generous portions. There's a reason why their probably the most well known restaurant in San Carlos
My friend boasts a lot about Town, he said people all around go here for great food, and he’s correct the food is in fact great. The service is attentive and friendly. The apps came fast, and it’s good enough to wait for your main course. They have a variety of choices, but stick to the steak, they are good. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection, and I know it’s hard to cook skirt steak to a medium, but they do it well here. Parking is in the back
Delicious mixed cuisine food and relaxed ambience, I loved our brunch at Town. We ordered Poke with Crispy Rice, Millennial Breakfast (avocado toast with fried eggs) and Someone’s Moms French Toast. My children got complimentary chocolate chip muffins and they loved the surprise. We got a seating outside with a nice view of the road, and that made the brunch extra special. Great service to add to the experience!
If you're looking for unbelievably delicious food with great portions, Look no further than Town. A delicious steakhouse with large portions and perfectly cooked meats but a full ecosystem of fantastic dishes to accompany any meal. They start serving brunch at 10AM with no reservations but a big seating area indoors with more outdoors. Food comes out extremely quick within 10 minutes of ordering, our table was full.
Dawn!!! She was our server for a girlfriend’s brunch today. I ordered an iced tea “with lots of ice.” She brought an iced tea filled with ice, an extra side of ice and a carafe of iced tea. The woman is a mind reader. My friend and I had a great catchup over delicious brunch items. They made my scramble vegetarian for me. We sat for a long time and they were as nice as could be. Love this place. And Dawn!
I recently had a business lunch at Town restaurant in San Carlos on a Wednesday. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, we managed to secure a table without much hassle. The service was exceptional, and the food truly stood out with generous portion sizes. We started with a selection of appetizers to share, including the Philly Steak Spring Rolls, Town Super Rolls, and New Orleans BBQ Shrimp—all were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I opted for the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, as I prefer white fish, and it did not disappoint. The server had recommended the Roasted Salmon, which I might try on my next visit. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great service and flavorful dishes. Highly recommend for both business and casual meals!
I finally got the chance to dine at this restaurant after hearing my friends rave about it for a while. It's located in downtown San Carlos, though the street it's on is blocked off, so you’ll need to go around to access it. Luckily, parking wasn’t too difficult to find. The food was pretty decent — definitely lived up to the hype. While not over the top amazing, everything we ordered was okay. The atmosphere is lively, and the place is almost always packed, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. This spot is great for hanging out with friends — casual, energetic, and perfect for a night out in town.
After unfortunate experience at the restaurant next-door three of us had a pleasant experience at this charming spot in downtown San Carlos! The interior is cozy (slightly outdated), with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The heated patio is impressive - spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for enjoying the fresh air while staying comfortable on the rainy, winter evening. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The appetizers were beautifully done, with great flavors and presentation. Shout out to beef tacos (mmmm), and brussels sprouts. I also loved the interesting cocktail selection - unique and flavorful. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed, enjoyable dining experience!
I have been waiting to return to Town for a while and I finally went for lunch. Beautiful decor and service was great! We did not have a reservation and wanted to sit indoors because it was chilly, so we sat at the bar. I had not been back to Town in years and so I came with a veteran and she ordered. My only addition was the mushroom soup. Everything tasted okay. Sushi roll was not my favorite. The soup was good, but basic. The crispy chicken sandwich was not crispy. The highlight was the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. It was good to come back and check out this very popular local restaurant. Check it out to see if you like it more than I did.
