Domo Kitchen San Diego Reviews
Great food! Amazing service and a very nice owner. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish had a delicious balance of seasoning and texture, and you can tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants around. I’ll be coming back for sure!
Such nice people working here. Went after work, I work nights so thats about lunch rush. Parking can be difficult at lunch but I got a good spot. Ordered chef lo mien to go. They made it fast & were so kind to add some deeelicious dumpling. So yummy, lots of protein & chewy yummy noodles. This will more than likely be my new noodle place.
That good 90's style American Chinese food. Definitely the best in San Diego, if not in so cal. If we use panda Express as a benchmark, with panda receiving a B- these guys get a solid A. The server was very friendly and they were open to modifications. I've been trying to find a place that makes green bean chicken with black bean sauce and noticed they had green bean chicken and they had a dish that was green beans with black bean sauce. They combined it into one dish for me and it was delectable. *Update* Tried the wonton soup and it was good, not the best I've ever had, but good
Authentic food & service. Ladies helping us were so kind, took time to go over the menu with us. Affordable place to eat & delicious. Nice little spot. I got phili roll & tried their bagel roll. Plenty to eat & had left over!
Ate some delicious sushi at Domo Kitchen! Ordered takeout of a spicy salmon hand roll, tuna, albacore, hamachi, and ikura nigiri, and the Philadelphia and santeeiego roll. Nice and thick nigiri. Super friendly staff and didn’t need to wait too long for everything to be prepared. Definitely recommend giving a try, they also serve other cooked Asian food if sushi isn’t your thing.
The food was amazing and you get way more roll for your money compared to a lot of other places! The staff were so friendly and warm. Glad it’s so close to home because we will definitely be returning!
The food is AMAZING!!! The service, same. Who cares if it’s not fancy . I come to eat , not see art. My favorite Chinese ever . We never finish unless we are here .
This Chinese Japanese restaurant can satisfy your craving for fried rice and sushi in one setting! The restaurant itself is designed as a Japanese restaurant. The menu contains most of the Chinese food. I love all the pan fried noodles and fried rice, they are must-tries! the price of the sushi looks outrageous, but most of the sushi is actually half off. We ordered two sushi rolls, a noodles dish, a glass of plum wine and a bottle of sake, all less than $50. Food is not extraordinary, but it's a quick fix for your belly. 5 star for the service tho!
One of our new go to local spots for tasty Chinese & Sushi. Friendly & personable staff who actually take time to talk to you while dining in. If you like crispy salmon skin, you gotta get these hand rolls! Been happy w everything we’ve ordered here.
Went here for a last minute lunch on my own. Very friendly waitress, good prices and drop dead delicious food. Thank you for a great experience!!

I walked in alone and was seated immediately. My wait person was Candy and she could not have been nicer. She brought me water and a glass of wine right away. My order of sushi came and was fresh and delious. Candy touched base with me to make sure all was OK. I highly recommend this restaurant..I can't wait to go back and try the Chinese food. The only downside for me was the TVs. I don't want to listen to or watch TV at dinner...😏
One of the best Chinese food places in San Diego, Ca. Everything is super tasty and doesn't leave you feeling bloated like other Chinese food places. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because at lunchtime it can feel super crowded. Other than that it's a definite go to when I'm around that area. I always call my order a few minutes ahead and I'm in and out of there quickly freeing more of my lunchtime break to enjoy my food.
I've been going to Domo Kitchen since before COVID and now I live in another state but always come back to visit. The food is true comfort food and the woman who work here are absolutely amazing. All my love from Florida!!
The person I ordered from was so peppy and nice and was happy to modify my order to be just what I wanted! The food was delicious!
Truly the best Chinese food in San Diego, and we've tried a lot! I've been coming here for years, and even though we've moved further away now, sometimes I will drive hours to come back just for their food because it's so good. Yes, it's THAT delicious! The owner is incredibly sweet, and she really cares about her patrons and the food they make. It's great to support a family-owned business!
My family & I have been eating at Domo Kitchen for over 20 years & they remain our favorite in SD. Best service, delicious food, & amazing quality. The ladies who run the place are so kind & so sweet. The house pan fried noodles are one of my favorite dishes ever. We always order at least 2 for the table. This is a great place to really support small, local business.
Nice family owned Chinese American place. Good food and friendly staff. Our kids loved it.

Meet a friend here for lunch since it was in between our two houses. The friendly owner and her daughter run this place. We ordered the shrimp lo mein dinner portion since it was only $2-3 more than the smaller lunch one. It was quite good! My friend also ordered the sashimi dish.
Great food, very fast too. This is a quick service, order at the counter type of place where everything is served to go. There are plenty of seats inside, but if you are looking for something fancy, this is not it.

When I first started coming to their restaurant for take out a couple of years ago they were very friendly and the food was delicious. However, I’ve noticed this year, out of nowhere, things have changed. When I place an order the older woman hangs up on me before I even finish my order. They seem to be rushed there and the food quality isn’t the same. There’s less veggies in their dishes and rice is old. Today I called to place an order and Candy answered and seemed extremely short with me. I understand that places get busy but when I’m trying to place an order for more than one thing and I’m cut off mid sentence, that’s not okay. This isn’t the first time, however it will be my last time eating here.
