2546 Cafe San Francisco Reviews
One of my now go to places for HK baked goods. Some orders come with a discounted drink for two bucks. If you order a drink that doesn't come with the meal, it's 2x the size! 2x the cost as well 😂 either way the drinks are good. Food is great and some of the fastest when it comes to baked stuff. Some stuff I don't recommend are the porridge which was bland and curry rice since there's more pepper than meat.
Excellent place to hang out and have tea. They sell really good Hong Kong style milk tea. The evenings are not that crowded. The food is also good. Parking is difficult nearby. The staff is very friendly.
Food was great and service was friendly

Typical Hong Kong Cafe here. I love their iced milk tea, the flavor is good and the tea is strong. Their are many items to choose from which are all good. My favorites being the salt and pepper fish, and the club sandwich for lunch. Their clay pot meals are good too.
Great food. Portion is so big I have to bag the left over. Taste so good and lots of varieties. Price is so affordable and worth the bucks.
Very satisfying spare ribs & bitter melons over rice. Tasty and generous portion compare to many Chinese cafes.
Service is good, food comes out quick. Hong Kong style at its best. I love the idea milk tea here, it is quite strong.

Good food. Not sure why ppl give them bad reviews… Salted pepper pork chops, broccoli beef and baked pork chops are our go tos and consistent.
We tried their Three items for $29.99 menu (rice $1.50 per person extra). Cash only. It was decent but pricy. Curry beef stew and fish with bok choy was good. We were disappointed in the serving size of salt and pepper beef ribs but we knew going in that ribs were mostly bones anyways.
The gong jai meen is great! Can't beat hot soup with spam and an egg!! Get in before 9 for free parking :-)
Decent Cantonese food; not pricy and friendly staff. Parking not too bad but not free.

Except for parking hassle you can get a meal with HK tea for under 11.00. Good tea too.
It's what you'd expect from a typical Hong Kong Cafe. Hearty and comfort food from your childhood if you're Chinese. Portions are on the smaller side, so if you're thinking about sharing, I hope you're dining with no more than 1-2 extra person, max. Needless to say, most of the food here seems to be individual portioning. Price seems fair for the most part, but what would normally be the sharable items like chow fun and fried rice isn't the best bang for your buck considering the small sizes. Flavor wise, the food gets a pass from me. Don't expect to be wowed, because at least to me, HK cafes aren't really known to be fancy and flavorful like what you'd expect from other Chinese establishments. To me, they're more for quick bites. This is a non-frills place, nothing fancy to write home about, but you get in and you get out. Like many others have said already, this is a cash only place. While I understand why, you'd imagine they'd get with the times and have at bare minimum, payment options like Zelle or Venmo, but it is what it is. This wouldn't be my first choice, but if you're in the area and want some comfort food, then at least give it a try. It gets the job done.

This place now takes cards. They always close early at 7 pm or sometimes even earlier. I’ve been here so many times at 6:45 pm and have been told it’s only to-go or they are closed. Don’t believe the hours on Google.
Their bake seafood rice has no sea food only mushroom and lots of onion. And has no taste. Their back pork rice the pork is dry. The R12 is the best one so far when I order.

The food is bad. The waitress who dyed bloned hair attitude is awful. She ask more tip with rude, not with polite. And then embarrassed me in front of the othet customer. Never come back. The reason I mad is I don't get respect. If you think I don't paid enough tip ,you should come to my side told to me in polite and sofe voice. Sorry man ,can you paid more tip because you don't paid enough something like that, not hi ,put more tip on the tray with high voice at front of the othet customet, that made me embarrassed.
Place is clean … food so so … price very high . . . . Two person average is about $50-70 if with drinks
Went there for Lunch today and the taste of the food was not bad. First we ordered the Mongolian beef over rice and it should really be called onion over rice it barely had any meat. We also ordered Chicken chow Mein and it was thin hard noodles not the chow mein I was expecting. To top it off it is cash only which I already knew but when we got the check we got charged a 15% service charge it was just 2 of us and no where is it posted that they charge a service fee. It would be nice if they would let you know ahead of time. The servers are rude and never checked on us once,
Good is OK, but too little on each dish for the price they charge for, and the staff's manner are little too mean, no smile or what so ever, not too friendly, feels like they no longer want work there to serve customers, That has to be change, specially most of the customer are here spend money and that area is hard to find a parking spot. And spend over $60 still can't fill up 2 people's stomach.
i just read on a review for 2546 Cafe and it read,"their baked seafood rice has no seafood only mushroom and lots of onion." My experience was 30 minutes ago I ordered chicken chow mien , just to try how they make it.,They charged me $13.85 and when I got home the chicken was nowhere to be seen all I got was a baby portion container , thin noodles with soy sauce . i am not the first and more will come after me, never going back. Dim Sum Kitchen makes it better and I will never try anyone's else chicken chow mein on San Bruno Av. Be Well!
Not a single vegetarian option for the rice porridge. No concept of what vegetarian or vegan is from the staff. They made me plain porridge with "no chicken" but it was made with chicken broth. Please let me know if this changes.
Food is okay, but the waitress was rude, keep the door open when it is cold wind blowing in. The place is pretty dirty.
