Fabulous restaurant, lovely little menu, with a prix fixe option if you just can’t decide and fancy three courses!! We ordered the pork tenderloin and flat iron steak, both were delicious!!!

Bouche is a really cute little French restaurant, tucked away in an unassuming spot in SF. Kinda tricky to actually find, but worth checking out. The staff were super friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The food is adventurous if that’s what you want, or a bit more traditional if that’s what you’re more comfortable with. It was nice that they have a fresh seasonal menu every couple months. I’d be curious to come back someday and try some more dishes here. The bread and charcuterie were particularly delicious. Highly recommend.

Thank you, Bouche for the most amazing Thanksgiving dinner last night ! With the warmest welcome from beautiful owner/Julie and the tastiest food from the 4 course prix-fixe menu I've ever had by owner/Jeremy, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. All the staff were kind and wonderful and the wine was fabulous as well. We will be back ! Thanks again !

Loved the intimate atmosphere and very friendly service! The wild mushroom tagliatelle was delicious, and having grown up in France I was elated to find tarte tatin on the menu

We were walk in customers and they were very accommodating. The food was good and the service excellent. Tomato salad was excellent. My wife did their prix fix menu and I went off their regular menu. We really enjoyed our experience.

One of our all time favorites in San Francisco. For SF standards - it’s an affordable fine dining experience and it’s French which I love. Dining room is small and efficient - reminds me of a place in Paris. Menu is fantastic and there’s something for everyone. I love how you can order a “Mystery Item” and they will tell you what it is after you eat it. Enjoy! I gave them 5 ⭐️ originally but it’s annoying that they only offer tap water which is notionally bad downtown. If you offer bottled still water I will update to 5.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we ordered a good amount of food and we were serviced perfectly. Everything was timed so well. The service was amazing. I loved that we were able to enjoy everything and not feel rushed. The food was so tasty! I will definitely be back here!

Amazing food! Great service! We had The Beef Bourgnon w/bone marrow, Steelhead w/caviar, tomato soup, The adventurous ( The chef surprises you), extra bread, animal tartare (beef this week) and $80 bottle of wine. Total bill for 2 came to $449 (including a 20% tip) It’s very expensive but worth it for a great night out! The menu changes WEEKLY! Which means I gotta go back.

The perfect French neighborhood place. If I lived here, I'd dine at Bouche every other week at least. The fixed price menu is easy on the wallet but doesn't compromise on quality, no use quoting what I had since it has already changed. Excellent selection of unusual boutique French wines, not just the usual expensive big names. Incredibly friendly service. One item is a must have if you see it: the baby clams in an herb beurre blanc sauce with grilled sourdough.

Very excellent food all around! Pretty reasonably priced with a tasting menu of $55! I loved EVERYTHING! we had the bread, tuna, duck and each of the desserts. The duck with marrow was especially delicious!! The Ceasar was elevated and crunchy. Atmosphere is very small and cozy, which is not super great when there is a large table of 12 next to you which was incredibly loud and kind of awkward when you're trying to talk and someone else is giving a speech so I felt like we had to leave earlier. Same for the couple next to us. Also, when asking for a box to go, make sure you specify what you want because they did not box everything up, which is a shame because I had a lot leftover( they did not give me the greens or anything under the duck , only leftover duck leg and marrow which barely anything lol.) Will definitely come back nonetheless.

Amazing experience and fantastic attention to detail from the staff. Gregory helped me make selections for all courses and found the perfect wine to accompany my meal. Highly recommend adding the bread plate. It seems simple, but it had the perfect contrast of soft pillowy insides with toasted crisp crust. The butter used was so creamy and complimented it perfectly. The Adventurous appetizer was a fun and quite different opener to the meal. It definitely could have served 2-3 people so I was quite stuffed by the time I got to the end. I enjoyed the opportunity to guess what I was eating. It was so good and I was definitely surprised by what it was! While I’m not usually a fan of French onion soup, theirs was incredible. The cheese was complimentary instead of overwhelming and bread retained its crispiness throughout. I had the Cornish hen with potatoes and mushrooms as a main, and I was impressed with the variety and pairing of the mushrooms to the dish. They were hearty but not overwhelming. Including 5+ types of mushrooms gave a delightful contrast to the rest of the dish. The Chantilly cake had perfectly crispy edges and was the right weight for the end of such a rich meal.

This was up there with one the best meals we've ever had!!! Started with the Turnip Soup, followed by the duck breast for my partner and Taglietelle for me. To finish we had poached pears and pistachio profiterole. Samuel was attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you so much Samuel and to Bouche. Go and eat there, you will not regret it!

Nice French restaurant! Tried first time this week! They have a fixed menu with appetizer, entree and dessert. The combination of flavors and fresh food made the night. Our waiter made even better the experience with really good recommendations of food and drinks Also, every two week they change the fixed menu. Definitely recommend this French dine experience in SF.

A very cute place! The food was delicious; they change the menu every week on Tuesdays, and always offer one meat, one fish, and one veggie option. Really nice wine options too. The space is small but doesn't feel too closed due to the big windows overlooking the street. Samuel and the rest of the staff are super nice and create a lively and fun atmosphere. Can't recommend enough! I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic French fare in the heart of Union Square. This is a great location for special occasions and intimate dinners. The menu changes every couple of weeks so these are the highlights of my meal. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and cook perfectly. The endive salad with smoked trout was a nice surprise. I definitely recommend getting the mystery appetizer. It’s a French restaurant so the desserts were excellent per usual. As well as the wine selection. Bouche is reasonably priced and they have fast and friendly service. Our server Samuel was excellent. Two wine glasses up!🍷🍷

My wife and I went here before a show. We were in and out in less than an hour which is too quick for us. We usually like to dine for an hour and a half or two. The dish flavors were subtle but good and the recommended wine pairings were excellent. We sat at the bar area which is directly across from the noisy kitchen and facing a mirrored wall which was a little too cramped for our taste. Next time we'll get a table.

The service and atmosphere here is amazing. We went with their fixed menu and the duck dish was delicious. However, we had to send the sea bass dish back because the fish was raw. For dessert, I tried the flan which was good.

My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentines day dinner. The ambiance was cozy and clean. The service was excellent but I hate to say I was disappointed with the presentation of our food and the lack of seasoning. They forgot to add the truffle to our pasta and everything needed just a touch of salt. I'm not a food critic but I do have two culinary degrees with over 25 years in the industry and I can say from experience what was lacking.

Food was a bit slow coming out. The time between the appetizer and main course was too long (the waiter did apoligize saying they put the order in, but it seems it was missed). I found the scallops and lamb(my friend ordered it) a bit on the tough side. The lobster bisque was quite underwhelming. The pistachio dessert was quite nice.

Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: A nice prefixe but the portions were a little smaller side. The extended review… Food: 3/5 - I definitely like a prefixe meal. It was a little pricier than some other restaurants I’ve been to that offer similar quality. The dishes were thoughtful but at the end of the meal I was still a little hungry. Service: 5/5 - We sat upstairs and were very well attended to. Ambiance: 3/5 - It’s a very cozy restaurant but didn’t feel too cramped with indoor and outdoor seating.

I had the set menu- cream of cauliflower soup, mushroom tagliatelle and a profiterole. The soup was the most velvety texture, but it didn't have one grain of salt in it. I never additionally salt food, but it needed salt SO badly. The pasta was fresh, but there were barely any mushrooms or flavor in the dish. There wasn't any kind of sauce, even oil or butter. The pasta was almost dry, and again, flavorless because there was no salt. The profiterole was outstanding and truly the best part of the entire meal.
