Just over a year ago, my family and I visited 8 AM Brunchbin for the first time, and we walked away talking about two things: how good the food was and how genuinely kind and attentive the customer service felt. That combination stuck with us so much that on this trip, we made it a point to come back—and ended up eating breakfast here two days in a row. The food is exactly as we remembered: incredibly fresh, simply prepared, and absolutely bursting with flavor. The lox bagel was perfect, and the waffle might be one of the best I’ve ever had. We actually found ourselves debating how the cooks manage to make something so straightforward taste so exceptional. The service is still top‑tier—friendly, patient, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like they’re truly happy you’re there. Highly recommended. This place has earned a permanent spot on our San Francisco must‑visit list.

Great coffee. Friendly staff. The portion of the avocado toast 3 ways is good for 2 to share. Will come back !

What find in San Francisco. We ate here every morning. Sometimes you have to wait but the turnover is really quick due to the staff who run a really good operation. Food was amazing, one of the best Frittatas i have ever had.

Small shop, but food is very good! Expect a wait, we waited a few minutes, at around 10:30am, not bad. Close to Pier 39 and Ghirardelli. Noisy due to construction outside, no fault of the restaurant!

As per what many said. This cost place serves good breakfast. Good quality and a very decent quantity too. Their Coffee is typical tongue burning hot American coffee. Not something I like.. Costly .. yes, like everything American now, but at least there is some value in this restaurant and u get a genuine smile.

Eight AM is an absolute gem for breakfast in the heart of San Francisco’s tourist area. The food is beautifully plated and just as delicious as it looks — every dish feels fresh and made with care. Service is quick, and the whole team is super friendly, which really adds to the experience. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger a little longer over your coffee and enjoy the vibe. For me, it was the perfect way to start the day, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Definitely worth the stop and easily a 5-star breakfast spot.

I stopped here around 10 AM on a Saturday. It was busy so we had to wait a few minutes for a table. The service here was great and very quick. I had the open faced bagel with avocado, egg and ham - it was a great combo. The fruit cup that came with it was very generous and fresh. I also had a crepe with peanut butter and banana. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping here.

Excellent breakfast in the wharf area. Usual choices of breakfast meals, but done with a twist. Very friendly service staff, fairly quick food turn around.

Breakfast at EightAM Brunch was a great experience. We had the pancakes and the avocado toast – both were delicious. The avocado toast, in particular, was very generous in size and really satisfying. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a nice variety, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a relaxed start to the day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We loved our breakfast here. The menu has many choices and we were lucky enough to snag a table next to the window, so the atmosphere/view was enhanced. This place is very crowded- for a good reason. We had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was worth it. The staff was attentive (many coffee refills) and the food came quickly. I had the strawberry crepe and my son had some sort of stuffed croissant. Both went quickly! It was a quick walk from the Argonaut (where I plan to stay on all my trips) so I will return on my next trip.

What a great place for a delicious breakfast! Lots of options and the food tasted very fresh. Wait staff is great, too, and I"m talking about you, Kenny! Thanks so much for making breakfast fun - we enjoyed all the laughs!

This is simply an amazing place. For the quality, quantity, and outstanding service it is worth every penny! Real coffee and even green tea latte! Freshly squeezed juice! Food prepared just the way you order and served hot. We enjoyed and will return! A true gem!

Unfortunately we found this place on our last day of our visit to San Francisco. It’s right around the corner from the Argonaut Hotel where we stayed. Although we found several great dinners for breakfast during our stay I have to say without a doubt this was my favorite. The food and people were excellent however, the fruit was so amazing from the presentation to the taste. They were very busy for a Monday morning, there was a wait to be seated. That’s always a good sign so we ate outside since the sun was out, it wasn’t too bad. If they’re too busy they own the dinner a few doors down so you could try that one. I noticed several employees at each location so I had to ask. They said they were a little different, one has a license to serve alcohol is the main difference. Great job, love to support small local family businesses as we are small businesses owners back in Ohio. Thanks again

Absolutely great place in Fisherman's Wharf, very popular and will often have a small queue or waiting list, but this moves really quickly and the most I've waited it 10mins.....totally worth the wait. Good selection menu; eggs, pancakes, french toast cooked and presented perfectly (and a lot of the choices come with a side of fruit salad to help make you feel less guilty about all the yummy food you're eating). Service is friendly and efficient, always checking in and topping up any refills.

I went here twice, once on a whim and the second time with determination to try the French toast while on vacation. I’ve been to lots of little brunch places in my life and I think this ranks as my top homey place. It’s not anything special but feels like a quick breakfast place back home. Service was quick, kind, and attentive. The food was amazing albeit a bit too large for someone my size. I got the waffles and genuinely probably one of the best I’ve had in my life. French toast was good but too sweet for me really, I probably would top it with something salty like bacon to balance it out. My god the potato side was great. Just beautiful.

Wow! So fortunate to have found this fantastic breakfast/brunch spot! Cozy atmosphere with inside or outside seating. Very interesting breakfast menu. I had the Avocado Toast 3 Ways, and my guest had the 6am savory Crepe. It is very difficult to make a decision. Service was friendly and attentive. Totally recommend not missing this gem if staying in the Fisherman's Wharf area near Columbus Street in San Francisco. Enjoy!

Cute little restaurant on our walk towards the Piers. We sat outside and were greeted by friendly wait staff. I had their open-faced bagel and opted for a sweet and a savory option. One half of the bagel had avocado, deli ham and an over easy egg. The other half with cream cheese, strawberries and honey, served with a large side of ripe fruit. My friend had an egg dish which she loved. The food was served hot and quickly with big portion sizes

Went to Eight AM for brunch based on their exceptional reviews (4.6 at the time), and honestly… it felt pretty overrated. The overall vibe was chill and the staff was friendly, but the food didn’t live up to the hype — very mediocre and definitely overpriced in my opinion. We ordered the Egg Frittata, Nutella Crepes, Waffle, and the Avocado Toast Sampler. The frittata came with house fries and fruit, and while it was decent, it didn’t feel like it was worth $22. The avocado toast sampler was especially disappointing — $30 for what was basically plain avocado spread on toast, topped with tomato, mozzarella, and a balsamic drizzle. It had almost no flavor, and definitely didn’t justify the price tag. The latte was just okay — nothing special — and same goes for the crepes and waffles. Not bad, but nothing memorable either. One annoying surprise: they automatically added a 20% gratuity, which they claim is for parties over 4 — that’s fine, but it really should be clearly mentioned somewhere on the menu or told upfront. I always tip anyway, but it’s the lack of transparency that was frustrating. Overall, it’s a cute spot with a relaxed atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming and overpriced. Giving 3 stars because it wasn’t bad, just really average and not worth the hype or cost. Wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

I went to this establishment on New Year’s Day in the morning. Surprisingly found parking just near the Ghirardelli factory. Was greeted to a small line but huge wait time of like 45ish minutes. For some odd reason a young lady gave me the most Muggiest look outside while waiting like clearly she’s staring at you for some reason. I’m like ok? Anyway get on the waitlist and wait for 45 minutes and finally sat down in the most awkward way possible. Sat in that very front where that wall makes a bend and mind you I had my date with me. We sat in the very front next to the door where you can feel the cold and I was looking at my date sideways the whole time. Immediately I sat down and the waitress asked what do you wanna order? I’m like we literally just sat down? She left and never came back for 15 plus minutes. Took our order and the order didn’t come out till 30 minutes later. It’s almost as if they felt I gave attitude and just intentionally prolonged my wait time. Anyway I ordered the eggs Benedict but was overwhelmed by the amount of cheese on my plate. Of course since I sat near the door, the cold made my food cold immediately and wasn’t desirable after a bit. Only good thing there was the waffle I ordered and fruit. After eating I never got the check till 30 minutes later by another waiter. Overall 2 star experience just go to other brunch spots.
