Farmer Brown San Francisco Reviews
I normally don’t review places in the airport, but this place stood out and warranted 5 stars. The place was clean, with a good atmosphere, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! We had the fried chicken sandwhich and the chicken and waffles. The sandwhich and toppings were outstanding, the fries were good. Add to that they have Pliny the Elder and other great draft beer options, and I’ll give an easy 5 stars! To those complaining about price, I suggest eating before you fly if it’s out of your price range. To give this place one star because of the prices is crazy - the food is worth the price.
Restaurant was right across from my Gate, so the location was 10/10 (until my gate was changed. lol). I was reluctant to order food (due to reviews), but I followed my intuition & got the chicken & waffles. I was SO satisfied! Most places serve a ginormous portion, which I can barely put a dent in & heating up its leftovers just makes me mad. But here @ the FSO location, I got 3 wings (1 was the “one bone” variety & 2 were the 2-bones), fried perfectly crispy with the right & light amount of batter (I’m thinking there was cornmeal in it). I got some buffalo sauce & blue cheese, along with maple syrup for the waffle. Apologies for not including the “before” photo, but the “after” one tells the best story. I hardly ever clean my plate. Especially if it’s a breakfast/brunch situation, I don’t have a lot of appetite. Expect airport restaurant prices & you will not be disappointed!
This is still one of my favorite places to eat at SFO. We ordered the shrimp po' boy and the vegetarian jambalaya. Everything was so flavorful and filling. My husband said it was his favorite airport meal ever. There was so much shrimp in his sandwich! It's the only restaurant open in this part of Terminal 1 so beware of lines and be nice to the staff!
DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! Farmerbrown absolutely have the best chicken tenders in San Francisco! I paired my tenders with their honey mustard sauce. It was a perfect condiment to pair with the tenders too! 5 out of 5! I wish a Farmerbrown could open on the east coast!!
Super chill atmosphere, and friendly staff! I ordered the special drink-guava martini-and the jambalaya which they were able to add shrimp to. The food did take a while to be brought out but I had ordered to go just in case. It was delicious!
Great place to eat if traveling into or out of San Francisco via Delta airlines or Alaska. I only mention this since it’s separated from the main terminal where you normally find lots of food in the center area for passenger gathering. This southern fried chicken burger is exactly what you expect to find in the south. Extremely delicious and filling, moist/juicy chicken cooked perfectly and great fries to top it off. I highly recommend it.
went while i was waiting for my plane and enjoyed my sandwich! staff was friendly and service wasn’t too slow! only downside was how expensive it was; it was $18.50 for the sandwich and fries. the chicken was well seasoned and hot and so were the fries. i like how they separate the chicken from the vegetables since i don’t really like tomato. the cornbread is very good, would get some more 😸

Had the caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was honestly 11/10. Best airport food I’ve ever had ✅ To add, the service was extremely fast. They brought out my drink and salad within 5 minutes of ordering (great if you’re rushing for your flight). The chicken was perfectly cooked and the salad perfectly seasoned. Simply a great experience here!
The skin was super crispy, like, it made this awesome crunching sound when you bite into it. And the meat inside was so tender and juicy—it was just amazing. But the fries were just okay, nothing special, but not bad either.
I sat at the bar and watched some college football. The food came out super quick. It wasn't that bad as the rest of the reviews state. But I definitely suggest asking for a lil salt for your food and it's good. My food was super hot and the bar tender constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. My only complaint is they don't have a menu or Qr code for you, like you have to get up and walk over to read the menu or take a picture of it and go sit back down.
I looked at the menu and there is sooo many options and I ordered and went to a table and the food came pretty fast and I had bought a salad and it tasted REALY fresh like came out of a fresh garden like 3 or 4 days ago and that is really good for a airport restaurant. Also the look of the food was very pleasant l. So overall I think this restaurant is amazing and I DEFINITELY recommend it.

I was so pleased with this place. The atmosphere was just what I was looking for. Not too crowded, chill music and I was pleasantly surprised that the food and drink were really good. Expensive? Of course! We're in SFO! Very much worth it though for the nice and chill setting before a long flight
See photos attached. This restaurant is overpriced for what I received. I ordered basic bacon 🥓 and eggs 🍳 with tots. The table runner/waitress named Kelly was excellent. With that said the restaurant doesn’t have jam or jelly for the sourdough toast the only have butter. That’s a minus. How many people do you know put jam or jelly on their toast? I am one of them. They also don’t have any steak sauce or A1 sauce which I like to put on my eggs. They only have Bbq sauce and Buffalo sauce and the Buffalo sauce is like drinking spicy vinegar! Yuck 🤮. So needless to say they need more condiments to choose from with these prices. I am very disappointed with the food and prices of the food. They charged me $4 for two pieces of sourdough toast. You can buy a whole loaf for that much money. Talk about a mark up!! Bottomline the service was great but the food is overpriced and it wasn’t anything monumental. It was a disappointment. I will not come back and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Also, the acoustics are in need of an overhaul. It’s really loud in here!
It's an ok place, since there is nothing near c gates... Ordered shrimp basket with Mac salad and housemade honey cornbread. Shrimps are fine (I give 5/10), Macaroni salad side is not my favorite it's not even a salad (3/10), corn bread is actually pretty good (9/10). Overall would be better to serve more for the price, my shrimp "basket" is almost empty 😉.
Im not what it is with salads at airports, but this was one of those typical „grab lettuce leaves of the box, slap on the plate and serve“. I ordered their super greens salad with grilled chicken. The taste was good and I’d have more of it, but the presentation and ease of eating was a nightmare. Too little dressing, giant lettuce leaves, leaving everyone around me probably guessing whether I have any manners. Why can’t you chop up the lettuce, and toss it with the ingredients and dressing? Half my salad had no dressing and all the cranberries huddled together at the bottom, which I couldn’t get to until I played rabbit and patiently snacked on each leaf separately in order to not look like a barbarian, eating. I paid $42 for a wine, a mediocre salad and four slices of chicken. I wouldn’t come back for the price-quality, but the flavor was fine. Also, this is not a „sit down and get a menu“ as it looks. You order just as you would at a chain or McDonald’s and then sit down with a number. Make sure to know what you want when you get to the register.

Two stars because of the lemonade. The best lemonade I’ve had so far, no doubt! But the fried chicken? It’s the worst I’ve had. I should have probably gone for the burger. This was my first time eating here while waiting for my flight at the SFO C gating area. Luckily I bought fries. I literally attempted two pieces of the chicken but couldn’t. It was quite oily and had some foul smell. Needs serious improvement. Pricing also could do better. Might be good for others, just not for me.
Ordered a salad and it was awful…very bland and missing items and only a few pieces of chicken. Not impressed, would rather get something premade for a $18 dollar salad. Beers selection was good.

As others have noted, the price does not reflect the food that you get. It is comparable to a good hotel breakfast, but that is not the focus of this review. The gall of this restaurant to ask for a big tip when: A) you order online off of a QR code with no service B) The staff doesn’t speak English and cannot communicate well C) the order comes out wrong, and D) you must grab your own silverware from a cup on the table (hopefully you have a fork, ours didn’t). Will not be returning to this restaurant.

For me, airport food has lowered expectations. However, this is horrible even for airport standards. Eggs, bacon, and tater tots plate. Eggs and bacon are what you'd get at the free breakfast bar from a cheap hotel. The tots were good, but I expect tots for breakfast at a fast food restaurant. Service is just as bad. You order at the bar, pay a tip, and they bring food to you. After that, no further interactions with the staff. What was that tip for?
I get economizing is part of a business, but this, for $20 is by far the worse meal I’ve encountered in my years of flying even for small airports. This is your pricey item in the menu. A chipotle bowl (far healthier costs you around $19. There is a sense of loss of quality in most things. This place represents that. Where did all go wrong… my review. Get food from the shop in front of this place. You’d be better off. Btw, all these ingredients came from the bottom of the Value Mart. Bad at best.

The chicken sandwich was over priced & seemed to be less chicken more coleslaw & bun. The tots were ok. But at 26$ it’s hilarious. The bartender is a power trip fanatic . He will kick you out off the restaurant/ bar with out a warning . I would suggest going up to terminal or down to terminal to Dog patch or any of the other restaurants. Better service, better drink better quality food. And you don’t have to be power tripped on by somebody.

We didn't even have to eat here to see how shit the service is. This place opens at 0600. We stood at the entrance until now 0624. Watched the server walk in at 0612 (late) and she is now currently sitting in the resturant at a table, drinking a coffee, eating her breakfast, and playing on her phone. All for potential customers to watch, while she keeps the resturant closed with seats blocking the entrance. Glad we didn't have to waste our money to find out.
