Local Tap San Francisco Reviews
We dropped in on our walk to the ballpark from the hotel. Right away we felt like this would be a hang out for us if we lived in SF. It is apparent this is a locals spot. Our bar tender was kind and attentive. We only had a few drinks but the food we saw coming out looked great!
I LOVE LOCAL TAP. That’s the only way I can think to describe how GREAT this place is. Pauly (owner) is a great guy and make you feel welcomed every time you come. Pete is a great bartender and always has hilarious stories to tell. Their food is restaurant quality with bar prices, I honestly don’t think there’s any other place in SF to get quality cheese curds, but they are known for their chicken fingers and fries. If you want to go somewhere that makes you feel like family, I highly recommend Local Tap
Great bar that serves food. Pete behind the bar made me feel comfortable from moment I walked in. What was supposed to be a quick beer turned into four hours of laughs with the bar folks. Really great time watching the college football championships. Amazing selection of beers that will suite any taste. Will definitely return when I’m back in San Fran.
Always a great experience at Local Tap. So many good local beers on tap, the food is restaurant quality and the service is always friendly and attentive. I had the local rock cod tacos and it was delicious. Usually the owner is around but tonight he wasn’t there and even so the food, service and experience was perfect, Local Tap is very well operated.
This bar holds a place near and dear to San Franciscans new and old. Beer selection is exquisite, service is 5 star and the food is absolute 🔥. I spend my redzone Sundays here, watch warriors games here- and couldn’t think of a better place to do it. They’ve also got TVs indoors and outdoors, with an outdoor patio.
They must have renovated recently because it looks great! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. They had multiple games on throughout the bar o accommodate everyone. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good spot to watch a game with great food! They also have some decent game day specials!
Owner/manager/whoever was a cool dude. Asked his top 3 fav things to eat before ordering, he sat dwn to really think about it with me. I liked that. What a cool dude. Also, the fish tacos are unbelievable. Lot's of beers too. Bomb.
Went here 4 times within my first week moving to Cali. Literally my favorite place. Tried everything under their Local Favorites, ALLLLL super good. Workers are insanely friendly and any bit of wait I had was just more time to hang out there. Need a recommendation? My favorite thing here is probably the quesadilla suiza😍
Nice small local sports bar with great atmosphere. The food were really good too

Great music and fantastic staff. Very friendly even when they're crazy busy.

Stumbled on this place. Nice beer menu and asked for a good recommendation. I am typically not a taco salad affectionado but it was the best one I have ever had. The dressing was amazing.
Great Food and Great people. Loved the atmosphere if you like Midwest bars. Cheese curds were great.
True to its name this is a great local spot. Friendly and engaging staff, good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere. Want to get to know the neighborhood, this is a great spot to start.
We had the fish tacos, chef’s salad and the cheese curds. …and a beer. Tacos were grilled cod with a great marinade and a chipotle aioli sauce. Perfectly cooked and delicious. The Chef’s salad was fantastic. Crispy bacon crumbles, avocado, hard boiled egg, tomato blue cheese and grilled chicken. We had it with blue cheese dressing. All components were fresh and delicious. The cheese curds are to die for. A must starter. I cant wait to return and try some of the other items on the menu. … and a great beer list.
Friendly staff even after a hectic day serving the masses. Good beer selection. When I went in they had "Pliny" and a brew from Anderson Valley on tap.
Freshest bar food I have ever had. Farm to table level, crisp lettuce and bread that must’ve been baked the same morning. Chill atmosphere, not too loud for lunch, attentive staff. Will be back tomorrow.
A corner bar gem, with good happy hour pricing (3 to 6:00 M-F). Bartenders who clearly love their patrons and their fantastic service shines through! Their hummus plate is substantial and my new favorite!
Hand-breaded mini corn dogs and Pliny. That's the review. Five stars for that alone. Service is good and plenty of TVs to watch whatever sports you want, but really the mini corn dogs and Russian River taps are the important thing.
Local Tap is one of my favorite bar/restaurants in San Francisco. The food is very good with a lot of options and it’s the perfect spot to stop in for drinks and bites on your way to or from a Giants game. Looking for a sports bar? Here’s your place! During Football season, it’s a Packers bar but fans of all teams are welcome. Brace yourself for fun and often, crowds! Props to the staff for handling everyone on game days.

Easily one of my favorite bars in the city. Awesome bartenders, great food, solid happy hour specials. Get the cheese curds!

Great location near the stadium. The food is outstanding. I highly recommend the Cowboy Burger. Great selection of craft beers. The outdoor seating with TVs is great for watching the game and enjoying your visit here. Amazing, and let me repeat it again, AMAZING selection of music played while eating and drinking. A must go when in San Francisco.

Bar is crowded on game days. Based on the reviews there seems to be good bartenders there. My last experience was good. But today I did in front of the bartender for 45 minutes as he ignored me. Then when other told him I was first he proceeded to yell at them. Then go to the end of the bar where other customers were buying him shots. Tall white man lean. Tattoos down the right arm. I will not be returning. Worse feeling you can have at a bar. The atmosphere of the bar is a mix of people watching the game and people ignoring the bartenders behavior and out bursts. Like an awkward dinner where someone gets slapped. Can't rate food cause wasn't not provided service. Spent one hour and a half there. 45 minutes standing at the bar. 45 sitting at a table with my friends drinking water cause that's self serve. Someone volunteered to order our drinks for us but we declined. Messed up that is how we "solve" this problem.
