Lush Gelato San Francisco Reviews
Came here with my husband and we adored the gelato! I got the cardamom lemon bar and my husband got the fresh mint chocolate and it was easily the creamiest, most delicious gelato we’ve had. Flavors are unique and made daily so the menu rotates but if you get a chance to try the cardamom I would not miss the opportunity. Will definitely be back if we ever visit SF again.
I almost forgot to take a picture, it was so cream and delicious. I got dulce de leche and raisins flavor. I wish they had the passion fruit flavor when I was there.
You can smell the waffle cones from down the street! This place has fresh rich & creamy gelato. We stopped in after dinner and barely beat the long line that formed shortly after. Service was great will definitely be back. Cheers
North beach local here and a very happy lush customer. This is my go to spot for gelato. My favorite flavor is the dark chocolate. They do everything in small batches so you’ll also make limited seasonal flavors. This week as an example they had Banana and Tagalog Girl Scout cookies and that was delicious!
Amazing Apple and crème fraiche gelato!!! The cone was the best waffle cone I have ever had. Friendly service and good vibes. A must while in North Beach
Excellent gelato. I tried the brown butter with chocolate honeycomb. So good. Service was friendly as well.
Top spot for gelato in North Beach. Lush offers many creative flavours so i always choose 2 per visit. Their menu interchanges & they open late compared to other ice cream shops. Friendly & attentive staff. They also have Pints for sale, but limited flavours.
Amazing flavors with awesome service! Oscar remembered my dietary restrictions and recommended some samples I didn’t even realize I could try. Highly recommend the brown butter gelato with a dollop of their decadent chocolate on top.
This is the best ice cream spot in SF! Love the Dulce Deleche. When I lived in the city I would get this all the time! And it's made locally in sf! I brought friends here aswell.
My husband and I's first time trying this place and my first time trying Gelato was made great by Oscar one of the employees who helped us try and pick the best flavors. All of them were really good and Oscar was really friendly and patient with us while we chose the ones that we liked the most. Will come here again on our next trip to visit San Francisco
This is almost certainly the best ice cream in the SF Bay Area, and definitely one of the best in the country. I've had amazing ice creams including Van Leeuwen in NYC. I think the ice cream quality is higher here. They have outrageously creative and decadent flavors like cookie dough with gigantic dough lumps and always something new. The staff is always really kind and super helpful. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
I always swing by Lush Gelato whenever I’m in North Beach - it’s become somewhat of a ritual for me😂 I never miss the chance to try out their seasonal flavors, always some unique creations. The asian pear sorbet this time was absolutely BOMB🍐As for the non-seasonal flavors that are always there (not sure if it’s ALWAYS there but I’ve consistently seen them), my go-tos are the creme fraiche & strawberry balsamic and the brown butter & chocolate honeycomb - can never go wrong with either of those! They have doors on both Columbus Avenue and Stockton Street. If you pass by the Stockton Street side at the right time you can even see how everything is made right here in the kitchen with fresh and real ingredients.
Lush Gelato in San Francisco – Worth the Hype? Absolutely. If you're wondering whether it's worth standing in line for this gelato, the answer is a resounding yes. And if you're wondering whether you should get back in line after your first taste of what might be the best gelato on the planet? Still yes. Every scoop is creamy, smooth, and bursting with flavor. The texture is flawless, the flavors are bold yet balanced, and the experience is unforgettable. It's not just good—it's better than the gelato I had in Italy. Hands down, 100% the best.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lush Gelato is absolutely fantastic! The selection of creative, fresh flavors is impressive – from timeless classics to surprising combinations that work perfectly together. The texture is wonderfully creamy, and you can taste the high-quality ingredients in every bite. I also loved the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the shop. If you’re a gelato lover, this place is a must-visit – easily the best gelato in San Francisco!
When it says Lush, it really means creamy as hell. Delicious gelato awaits you behind the doors of Lush. Although limited on number of flavors, I guarantee you will love whichever you choose. I must shoutout ol’ reliable with stracciatella 🤌. Also, the vegan peanut butter cup is delicious as well, and I’m not vegan. Quick and friendly service makes this a repeat stop for satisfying a sugar craving. Although, it doesn’t come from a hole, you can get some great quality gelato at Lush.
Lush Gelato in Little Italy is a must-visit if you’re in SF and craving some of the best gelato around. They offer a range of unique and interesting flavors, from classic Italian favorites to fun, inventive combinations you won’t find anywhere else. Every scoop is smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the quality of ingredients they use. The shop is sweet and simple, making it a charming spot for a casual date or a fun outing with kids. And if you can’t get enough, they have to-go pints available, so you can bring a bit of that deliciousness home with you. Lush Gelato is an ideal stop for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic, refreshing treat in the heart of Little Italy.
This spot offers some of the creamiest Gelato around, with truly unique flavors that will blow your mind. However, the service could be more welcoming. Despite this, I hesitate to leave a negative review because their Gelato is truly a must-try if you're in North Beach. Improving signage could make it easier for newcomers to find the place."
We frequent this shop often and I was excited to see their new passionfruit Mac nut gelato. But the pint we got has barely any passionfruit sauce 😭 I’m 1/4 of the way through and still digging for the first swirl. It doesn’t taste very good or balanced without the passionfruit sauce swirl. Understand these are handcrafted gelati but pls do a better job packing the pints to ensure a not-too-crazily-unbalanced distribution of ingredients where we can’t appreciate the flavor you worked hard to come up with at all. Thank you.
A big hair on the gelato and we told the person working and she just scooped it out. Then we chose a different flavor and she used the same scoop. No apology, nothing. It was probably from her because her hair wasn’t pulled back. Gross. Avoid.
