Mixt Greens San Francisco Reviews
Straight fire from the moment I opened the box, this was so yummy and completely made my week.. Solid portion, presented beautifully and everything has that good old homemade with love, pride and outstanding over and above effort factor. The taste and diversity of palette sensations was phenomenal. A beautifully presented plentiful portion of wholesome, yummy superfood ingredients, fantastic and exciting flavors made this a home run for sure and I'll definitely be grubbing at this joint again. This was probably the best salad I've chowed down on in downtown SFO in a while, this joint is dope. Support local businesses!
Love this location. Use to have an outdoor area with maybe 8 small tables. Really good salads and really quick service.

This place is great. Go-to for lunch, but get there earlier than later to avoid the line (there is a reason there is a line though, it's damn good). Sandwiches are all killer. Ingredients are really good. Service is great. Seasonal items are worth exploring (Gaucho = one of the best salads on earth).
First of all, can I just admit that I come here 30% of the time just so that I can be in the financial district?! Yeah, I'm a sucker for that sorta thing. But BESIDES that, I'm also a major fan of salad bars. College made me a super salad fan and all the fresh ingredients that Mixt Greens offers is sure to excite your palate! (The portions, btw...ASTRONOMICAL). Warning! The place is small and it's best to get your salad to-go.
Mixt Greens is one of healthiest and tastiest options for lunch in downtown SF. They are a regular rotation for catering options (at least 1/week), and remains a constant hit and fave of the office. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Props to the Sansome team for consistently providing great service both in-house and delivery. **Personal favorites: Salads: Maui (for variation: add soba), Cowboy, Madison, Bachelor, Dagwood Sandwiches: Disco, Royale **Make this mix: mixt greens, seared ahi tuna, pea shoots, fresh herbs, red pepper, cucumber, edamame, soba noodles, sesame soy dressing
I ordered a Falafel Spicy Warm Bowl. My taste buds are bursting in happiness. It was so good that I will order it until I get tired of it eating it.
I order from here ALL THE TIME, best salads in the city for a quick lunch during work. I'm not a big fan of their warm bowls but their build your owns are a go-to for my salad choices.
Great salads, which are perfect during my lunch break, since I work nearby. Jenny does a great job, and she's always friendly. The ingredients are always fresh. I like the salads with chicken. Thanks for helping me eat healthy!
This is my go-to place for lunch. I eat elsewhere, but not very often.. Salads are big, ingredients are fresh and universally of excellent quality. They are not cheap, but you do get an impressive amount of salad for your $10 - $12 lunch. Pro tip - if you don't want to wait in line get there before 11:30 or after 2 pm and all is good. If you want a quick salad during prime time, there's almost always pre-made salads boxed in the front cooler by the drinks.

I love the salads here! They're so fresh and full of flavor. I always get the "Cowboy" salad, but there are so many other great options to choose from. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. It can get busy during lunchtime, so I recommend going before or after the rush. Overall, a great place for a healthy and delicious meal.
The salads here are not only very delicious but they are also very large and filling. They have a wide variety of options, including a seasonal menu. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. I love this place!
It's great to come here for lunch or grab to-go during the week. The salads are great and so is the variety. Excellent experience overall!

Oh mixt greens, you give me mixed feelings! They definitely use fresh high quality ingredients for their salads but I still can't process the thought of paying $10+ for a salad! I will say that this place definitely beats all the other salad bars in the financial district though. You can custom order your salad with a variety of organic toppings or go with one of their salads off the menu - nice that you get to watch your salad made and tossed right in front of you. Arrive a little before noon to beat the lunch crowds!
Get here right when they open to avoid the long lines and design your own fabulous fresh salad from the millions of options. If you can't get here early, they do have a cooler near the front door with some pre-made salads and then you can cut the "make salad" line and head straight to the register. Sometimes the salad makers don't seem to understand when I say "very light" dressing, but that's a minor quibble.
Excellent Salad. They make the experience fun with good atmosphere and quick salad construction in front of you. I felt this was a filling lunch for a salad good components. I could use a little more quinoa and avocado, but really who couldn't?
A tad pricey? Yes. But the salads are are really good. Customizable to your liking and comes in a big box. TRY THE MADISON. Line may look long sometimes but they are really fast.
I was impressed with the freshness and presentation along with how fast multiple salads and sandwiches were made.
I'm a little torn about this place. Pros: They have about as good a selection as you're ever going to find at a salad bar place. I really like the way they put their salads together: greens (mixed, iceberg, butter, spinach, kale), staples (croutons, beets, cheeses, carrots, etc), premiums (candied walnuts, mushrooms, etc), and protein (chicken, salmon, tuna, turkey, steak). They have a good variety of dressings, and everything seems to be really high quality. Cons: It's a little on the spendy side, but the biggest problem is the line. Good lord, the line. It can seriously take 30 minutes just to get in and out of this place. Is any salad really worth 30 minutes? Ultimately I really like this place and I want to go again, but it's one of those places where you have to be strategic or lose most of your lunch break to the line game. My order: Spinach, chicken, caramelized onions, beets, spicy peanuts, goat cheese, avocado, balsamic vinaigrette.
Solid make-your-own salad spot. Spending $12-16 on lunch is pretty much the norm in downtown SF nowadays, so not really sure why there are complaints about the price here. Long line, but it moved very quickly. Overall positive experience.

I'm not much of a salad person. Or, rather, I'm not much of a "let me buy a salad for lunch" kind of person, so I've avoided places like Mixt Greens for, well, pretty much ever. Having binged a little too much on rich (literally and figuratively) food for too long though, I actually agreed to dropping by the last time my coworker suggested the place. Working my way through the expected lunch crush, which wasn't so bad since the line moved quickly, I ended up ordering their Orchard salad, with dressing on the side. And, how was it? Enjoyable, for sure. Something I'd order again? Yeah, if I were in the mood. A place I'd frequent? Nah, definitely not. Something about paying ten bucks for a salad on the daily, when I could have a fully prepared hot meal instead just rubs me the wrong way. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - Their main entrance has a couple steps, and is not at all accessible. However, there's an accessible entrance through the building to the right, which brings you in through their back entrance. During lunch hours, it can be pretty crowded, so you'll have to maneuver through the throng, to get to the end of the line (or, you know, be a jerk and cut). Bathroom - Didn't try them.

Didn't make me sick. However, the salad was mostly lettuce, was not as good as one I could make at home, and it cost nearly $20. Also, the dressing had sugar in it. Lame.

TLDR: $18 for a salad that has little chicken and almost no avocado Firstly the salad looks nothing like the online picture in terms of quality. Secondly, there was very little chicken and almost no avocado… for $16.95 subtotal, that is ridiculous. Not worth the value at all
I along with others in my office have found BUGS in my salads on multiple occasions. I have tried ordering all of their green options and have found them in EACH ONE. I hate to write bad reviews but this is just not ok.
