What Customers Say About Monte's Bar
Monte's Bar offers a classy, timeless environment with fantastic service. The chicken Provençal and filet receive high praise. However, the waterfront Benedict is disappointing due to the scarcity of crabmeat, and breakfast is considered overpriced and underwhelming.

Monte's Bar San Francisco Reviews
Great to see the space revamped and up and running again with a solid menu. Classy, timeless environment.
Was staying at the Omni and saw a nice dish on the room service menu but there was a delivery fee. Figured I'd go down to the restaurant myself and save a few dollars. (You have probably guessed. Room service item only.) I "settled" for Da Burger. Description reads "9oz Grass-Fed Angus patty". Delivered to me was, at least, a 9 oz, perfectly cooked burger. Spring greens, thin sliced tomato, generous cheddar and bacon. (And fries! Which aren't in the description. This little surprise made the [rather normal, SF hotel-attached restaurant] price for a burger a bit better value in my eyes.) Service was very good. Attentive but not overly so. The bar area was available for seating but not the larger dining area. Large groups might want to plan carefully during the down season.
Fantastic service and this restaurant has AC which can be very tough to find in the city apparently. The service was phenomenal and we were greeted right when we sat down. We ordered the chicken Provençal and the filet and they were amazing! I can’t recommend this place enough
Buen vino y buena comida!!! Vista excepcional!!!!

It’s been years since I went to this bar. We had just visited the Institute of Contemporary Art of San Francisco across the street. It was that sweet spot where some bars or restaurants don’t open until 4pm. We decided to stop by since it was open and it looked cozy plus they had the game on. The staff was accommodating in pushing seats and tables to accommodate the group. Prices were a bit steep so we only stayed for one drink. Seems like it’s a bar mainly for hotel guests from what we could see.

The service at Monte’s was excellent. But the food I ordered the waterfront Benedict was a disappointment. The crabmeat was so little you hardly can see it.

Breakfast: ZERO stars. Unbelievably expensive for simple eggs, flavorless potatoes, and precooked and warmed sausage links. And $7 for black coffee after charging so much already!?!? What world do they live? Save the time and go to any corner shop instead. Dinner/ bar: 4 stars! Really cool little spot and vibe. Super fast service which was a surprise. Spicy Asian chicken was two thin fried chicken thighs which gave great crunch. A little tough but not terrible. Steak frites was good and cooked well.
