Nono San Francisco Reviews
Really great place. Fantastic food. We were the only sit-down customers, but they were busy with take-outs. The guy who was our server (perhaps the owner?) was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The beer selection was awesome, good breeze from outside, muted lighting, baseball & tennis on the TVs, and quick service… at a very fair price too. We had the spinach & artichoke dip (bread sticks for dipping were so good!), split a medium Margherita Pizza, and split a desert. My wife is still gushing over the desert!
By far our favorite neighborhood spot. This place has the best pizzas and beer selections in the neighborhood (yummy pasta dishes too). The beer menu has something for everyone. My kids love the meatballs. This may be the one restaurant where they always finish their plates. We love coming to grab a bite and watch a football or basketball game. Peter is very kind, a hard worker, and always makes sure you are taken care of.
The place seems to have been around forever. The service level is rated by me as "pizza establishment". If you want snotty waiters in suits go elsewhere. They make a nice, tasty pizza. It's not chain food nor is it gourmet food, it's pizza.. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying their food. Beer on tap is abundant, which is always fun. Pricing is San Francisco moderate. I met the owner and he seems nice enough. Frankly, it's not often you see owner's hanging out in their restaurants when they are successful. I just think it's a great place to meet a friend, hang out, or satisfy your craving for good pizza and beer. Cheers mate.
Came here with my family after shopping in Japantown and were looking for a place to eat and happened to find this place nearby. We got a couple of pizzas and the Chicken Alfredo and they were all great! The service was good and you could tell that the man helping out everyone really pays attention to detail. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for some Italian food and are nearby!
The best pizza in San Francisco. Personal-sized, square thin crust pizza. Excellent buttery cheese, tangy sauce with a kick. Seriously underrated place, always a seat, and a relaxed pretense-free atmosphere. The perfect place to go before a movie on Fillmore. The owner, Peter, is a super nice guy who’d set the tables himself. Please support this place. Great menu and drink selection all around.
I recently visited this neighborhood restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food came out quick and was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were all fresh and tasted authentic. To top it all off, the restaurant had an impressive selection of beers to choose from, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning!
Went to Pizza Inferno off of a recommendation and absolutely loved it! The food (warm olives, focaccia, penne a la vodka, and Sorrento pizza) were all out very quickly and delicious! Ingredients were fresh and tasty. The owner was really friendly and went out of his way to welcome us to the neighborhood. Atmosphere is nice, great place to watch a game or hang with friends. Drink menu is large and has a good selection. Will be returning, Thanks Peter!
Great selection of beers on tap as well as great pizza! I believe it was 24 different beers on tap at very reasonable prices (I recommend the Three-Eyed Raven for Game of Thrones fans). The pizza was fantastic and reasonably priced. The general decor and dishes were actually pretty cheap but completely excusable for the great food and service. Looks like a chain from the outside but the offerings are anything but. The pizza selection is very unique and I look forward to trying more of their selection!
The salads, pizzas and pastas were delicious. We had the bruschetta, penne and A La Vodka, soprano pizza and Beet salad. We also liked the wide beer selection. Great place to go for food and drinks!
I ordered through DoorDah - Deskfront option in Google and I would definitely recommend/repeat! The pizza was sooo good (as European, i can feel the freshness of the food) and the owner/tender man is a lovely and friendly person! The ambience is nice too for a chill dinner/drink. I live a few blocks away and it is been a discover for me!
Pizza was great, lots of beers on tap and good music playing. Super chill atmosphere and the bartender was friendly. Definitely worth a stop.
Great spot if you want a good pizza that’s made quickly and to-order. The owner is extremely nice and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable while waiting for our food.

friendly, large pizza selection, 24 craft beers on tap, and good salads. We got the Inferno pizza. It was loaded with cheese and covered with basil and some ground beef. Pretty good. Our bill was a little higher than I expected: $18 pizza, four $6-$7 draft beers, and a Greek salad came out to be $58. But hey, we are in San Francisco. I would recommend Pizza inferno.

So what's the deal here? Huh, Pizza Inferno? Are you the same place as Parma Pizzaiolo? What gives, pal?

There was no one in the restaurant when we went so the service was good. A plus is that there is a whole lot of beer on tap but, environment and ambiance the place is lacking. Maybe, we just caught it on an off night. However, the pizza was good and the beer was refreshing.
Y'all definitely have to come to this place with an understanding of the owner. My friends and I have come here several times, usually after a concert at the Fillmore. It takes a bit to get over the cold and grumpy demeanor of the owner. I think he might have yelled at us the first time we went there (years ago), does not really express a feeling of warmth and welcome, and sometimes you feel like you're inconveniencing him by being there. But underneath the hard exterior, he's very nice, hardworking, and really cares about the restaurant and the experience. He even made small talk with us the other day, and it warmed my heart. Decent collection of beers and wine on the menu. Pizzas are average but delicious after a concert. I also really liked the meatballs appetizer dish! Give this place a chance, I'd be sad if they shut down.
The original Pizza Inferno had a fun atmosphere and delicious individual pizzas. This reincarnation is not that. The pizzas are edible but that's all I can say. My friend worried that the meat on his pizza might've been spoiled - it tasted really funky, like soap! Caesar salad was good.
Average pizza place. Pizza was ok. Appetizer was not. Drink selection was good. Everything costs about 20% more than it should even considering the area. A pizza, a starter, and two drinks will run you at least $60. Better food available in walking distance so no reason to ever choose this place over something else.

It seemed like we were bothering the guy when we wanted to have a table to eat for dinner. Then when he decided to come to us, he was very unpleasant. Took a long time to get him to take our order. Then we kindly asked for water while waiting for our food, the guy got mad at us saying that he needed a minute because there were a lot of customers. There were in fact one other table and 2 people at the bar, so not quite a full house. He was so rude that we decided to leave. Our apologies to the cook who might have started to make our order, but the guy was so disrespectful that we did not feel comfortable staying here. Do not recommend at all.
I cannot say anything about the food, but the person working there tonight (21/07/22 at 8 pm) was the most unfriendly one I meet in the USA. And taste of food normally has something to do with the person who makes it. So indicated by that it must be awful. I was on a three weeks vacation and only met really nice people in the US. But on my last day in San Francisco I was very sick and had to go to the bathroom really urgent. So I went into that shop, it was almost empty, and ask very friendly if I can use the bathroom. The answer of the guy was no, so I asked if I can pay for it. He again said no. But I could not wait, so I asked what do I have to pay to use the bathroom. He said I have to pay 10 Dollar because his wine is 10 Dollars. So I actually had to pay 10 Dollars to use the bathroom. Of cause I did not drink any wine there and never will. I feel sorry for all the Americans who gave me such a good feeling during my vacation, I liked you and your country allot but this guy destroyed a lot of it. So I just want to let you know, do not go there if you what to have friendly people around.
