Pescatore San Francisco Reviews
Had a great experience at Pescatore. Jose was my server and recommended one of the best seafood fettuccine I have had. I am not one to leave reviews, but this experience I had to share. Hopefully, you come down and see Jose and have the seafood fettuccine; you will not regret it.
I ate dinner and breakfast here for more or less free since i was a guest and used my CSR credit card. So expectations were low, but honestly blown away. The food i had here was better than the the fancy Open table i ate at the next night and better than Mother Wolf in Las Vegas, small menu but what they do they do well. There is none of the hip Bay area pretense here just sold meals and Steller service. The omelette I had was one of the best ive ever had in my life, the other was in France. Decent beer selection good cocktails. Wood fired pizza. Cant recommend enough, it really elevated my stay at the hotel eating here.
The pizza and cocktails were delicious. I was staying at Hotel Zoe and came down to dine at Pescatore multiple times during my stay. Jesus, Gabriela, and Irving were very attentive and kind. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in San Francisco.
Loved it here. Excellent service. Our server or waiter not entirely sure his title exactly but I must name him. Justo. He made my wife and my night so much more better. He was very attentive to our every need always smiling and when a dish was not entirely cooked the way I wanted it. He made sure that they fixed it right away and was truly sincere about it. Coming back for sure. Thanks Justo!!!!
Very nice dinner experience! We arrived 20 min before their kitchen closes and we were welcomed with a smile. The food and our server, Jose were amazing. Very good service, right on point. It’s hard to find places were the staff smiles and this is one of them. We appreciated ir. We had the zucchini pizza and the beets salad, both were tasty and good quality. The restaurant decor is cute. Music type was good as well as the volume. We will definitely come back if we are in the area. 🙂
Really lovely evening meal at this little gem just round the corner from our hotel. Mrs H had a luscious salad, while I had chicken in a bun which was succulent and delicious. For dessert we shared a chocolate torte. There is a lovely 'local bistro' atmosphere and the service staff were helpful and properly attentive. We have 2 more nights here and I am sure we will go back as the pizzas need trying.
A fantastic first meal in San Francisco. This charming trattoria ticked all the boxes for us - delicious food, attentive and super friendly service and a fabulous vibe. We had a lime margarita cocktail and a glass of Chardonnay, both of which were perfection, and our shared starter was a good ol' fashioned caprese. Our mains were the lemon butter salmon and the seafood linguine, and both were exceptional. We shared the panna cotta for dessert, and although it wasn't quite wobbly enough, it was the ultimate icing on the cake to what was a delightful meal. Highly recommended.
I thought everything was perfectly good. Good little inside. The wine and special halibut and pasta was great and my wife liked the strip as well. If you're staying nearby then you should definitely give this a try. Our son got a custom big pizza with cheese, and loved the crust, it was a little burnt in a good way, and it only had a little sauce in a good way, but there were pockets of too much sauce near the edges. So there you go, a 4 out of 5 from an 8 year old. Pretty good.
Great food! My wife and I kept saying, when we have time we will come here for dinner, and we FINALLY made it. The atmosphere was calm, the noise wasn't loud, and the service was SUPERB! I had the grilled Mahi Mahi and my wife had the pappardelle bolognese to go with our glass of sparkling rose and prosecco. Definitely will come again and again. Visiting the Wharf? A stop here must be included!
Good pasta, wonderful chocolate torte, underwhelming service. There is plenty of seating, the atmosphere is good for a dinner date, and there are tables big enough for families/groups. There's a second entrance/exit directly to the hotel that it's attached to. If you need to use a restroom, you'll go through that door to use the hotel restrooms. I had the pappardelle bolognese, which was cooked perfectly and arrived steaming hot, about ten minutes after I ordered. I thought that it had a bit too much sauce, but was otherwise fantastic. The table menu didn't have deserts listed, but I remembered the menu outside had chocolate torte, so I asked if it was available, and it was. It did take a while to get someone's attention though. The cake was really beautifully plated and tasted wonderful. The filling was the perfect consistency and the fruits and toppings made the cake even better. I don't remember the exact total, but I think it was around $45. I think this place has pretty good food, but it could use some fine tuning and the servers could be more attentive.
My husband and I met our childhood friend here because she was staying at Hotel Zoe and this restaurant was on the same building. We ordered fish and chips, margherita pizza, fried calamari, panna cotta, and cocktails. The food is ok, nothing to rave about. That being said, it’s pricey given the average taste of the food. You can get better tasting pizza and fresher seafoods in other nearby restaurants. Service and ambiance is great.
We ate breakfast there because we were staying at the hotel. Both of us got eggs Benedict. One had smoked salmon and the other a crab cake. Both were okay, but we both wouldn’t get that again for the price tag. After having fresh crab and other seafood in the area we just felt like it didn’t quite live up to other dishes. Service was wonderful though and it was fun to see the chef’s cooking and the pizza ovens.
I ate breakfast here. Fisherman's wharf. I had the Mexican omelette and it was great. Service is slow. I had to get up twice to pour my own coffee even though my empty coffee cup was across the table on the edge and the waiter walked by several times without noticing. Definite flight attendant tunnel vision syndrome going on here. Breakfast. Price $35 plus including tax, a 7% surcharge to offset the cost of Labor, and tip (15%). I would normally tip 20%, but not anymore if the service isn't great.... And especially when I'm being forced to pay extra to subsidize the labor costs. This is WRONG! IF THE OWNER HAS COST THAT NEEDS TO BE SUBSIDIZED THAT INCLUDE THEM IN THE PRICE OF A MEAL! What's next? Electricity surcharge? Commercial insurance surcharge? Workers compensation insurance? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Expensive. The food was fine. Poor rating because of service. Worst service ever and our particular server did not care! Our waitress/bartender (She was busy making drinks) came to take our order and then 35 minutes went by with the word ANYTHING ELSE? The waitress during our visit treated us like we was interrupting her or we owed her something. The table next to us had a great server!
