Red Jack Saloon San Francisco Reviews
Awesome spot we dropped into. Nick was an awesome bartender! Very easy going place. Drink prices were reasonable. Seemed like a local spot. Good conversation all around. Nice place to meet locals and make new friends. The bar has been there for a while. Nice place to watch sports. Food is not served here. But Nick kindly gave suggestions for local places to visit! You need to drop in!
The Red Jack was a nice local bar a few blocks from the San Francisco Wharf area crowded with tourists. The beer was cold and staff friendly. It was worth the effort to find.
Took the path off the tourist trail and shared some local vibes. If you want the overpriced drink at a predictable bar, stay at Pier 39. If not, check out some local peeps hangout. Won't regret saying hi!
Stellar dive bar. Especially for the neighborhood. The short guy and the Irishman were both welcoming and hilarious.
Really nice neighborhood bar off the beaten path. Came in during a Washington football Team game, awesome atmosphere! Cool little New England/San Francisco sports bar. Cheap, tasty beer with helpful and nice staff. Love the pinball and darts as well! Will definitely come back when in town next.
Down to earth dive bar alert. ❤ Are you over the crowd and just want to find a spot to chill? This is the place for you. Booked a tour at Alcatraz and we were too early to check in. It was only a short 10 minute walk from the pier and tadaaaa. Here you are. Ordered a mango cart and it was ONLY $7!!!!
Spent 2 nights in San Francisco fresh from the UK and stumbled into this bar after searching for craft beer places and we ended up spending both nights in this bar. The staff are lovely and the beer selection is very tasty, special thanks the Mark and Drew for a couple brilliant nights. If you want some memorable nights definitely drink here.
I don’t remember this bar. Wait. Oh yeah! The one with all the Boston stuff and a superscary mannequin in the back yard. I think I had a nice Irish coffee here too. Red Sox suck. But this SF place doesn’t.
Amazing neighborhood bar with an amazing bartender Andrew. Try the Harmonic Kosh as it is amazing. Perfect place to get away from tourists and relax with some pinball or darts.
The ultimate local bar experience. I'd love to call it a dive bar but wouldn't want to insult the place. Cheap beers great bartenders and patrons. Honestly the best bar I've been in SF!
Great bar, bartender was super friendly.
What a great hole in the wall local spot. We posted up at the bar for what we thought would be a couple of beers but had such a great time chatting with fellow patrons and the bartender (Joey) that we stayed to closing. Ordered some pizza for dinner (off-site, they don’t serve food) and watched the hockey game on tv. If you want some good beer and conversation, this is your spot away from the touristy pier 39.

Great bar, bartender was super friendly.
This place is classic. I love going there. The owners are super nice and it was fun to run into both of them again after 25 years. Keep it going! I will be back.
The staff here are amazing, as are the patrons. I left my wallet there and they went out of their way to post it back to me. We had such a great time visiting on our layover in San Francisco and so happy we stumbled upon them. Thanks The Red Jack Saloon
This was the best New England sports bar in San Francisco! Great spot to watch the game and have the Patriots win the AFC Championship! The owner Laurie was so kind, made us feel at home with all the Boston love.
Talk about a local bar vibe so close to the chaos of Fisherman’s Wharf! Incredible service from Drew, great taps, different games across the screens, and a lovely calm atmosphere! Highly recommend, they do not sell food, just bar snacks so maybe order your own to be delivered here once you OK w the bar
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Red Jack Saloon in San Francisco is absolutely worth a visit! 🍻 The bartender was super friendly, attentive, and took great care of us. We especially enjoyed the wide selection of beers, all served perfectly cold – just the way it should be. On top of that, the cozy and well-rounded atmosphere makes you feel right at home. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This place is an amazing local, basic bar. Super kind and friendly. Maybe a little rowdy. But. Google, they never have karaoke.

Absolutely awesome. Visiting from Australia and the best bar we've found if you're into a friendly hospo bar with fantastic drinks and tunes. I forgot to ask the name of the lady who served us but she made us a Negroni and a Seabreeze, which were awesome. Best bar in SF, no bullshit. Any Aussies looking for a drink, this is up your alley. Thanks again for your hospitality 🙏💚
We got in town early and stopped by because of the reviews...timing will be key...when we visited only 4 of us were in there but we plan to go bk later. They have a large selection (no flavored whiskeys which are my favorite)... Drew was cool!

If you are latino, and in the military, they don't want you here. Me and my wife got denied entry yesterday by the bouncer because we could not present a "valid U.S.A ID". We are from Puerto Rico, and as such, our ID's are from there too. After he said "I cant accept an ID from Puerto Rico" we asked, "okay, will a military ID work?". To this he said yes, and my wife showed him her dependent ID which shows her age on it. He looked it over like 5 times, and seemed like he couldn't find it, and then he just said, "nah i'm gonna have to see a passport". My wife obviously did not have a passport with her, and I was already fed up with the conversation, so we left. Just like that denied a military member and his wife from entry, in New Years Eve. Because they don't know that puertoricans are US citizens. Insanity. I can risk my life for this country, but I cant walk in to a bar to have a drink in peace.
Called just now and explained to him that i just moved here, wanted to watch the Patriots playoff game tomorrow, and was calling around to find a boston bar for me and my 5 new england college grads to become regulars at for the foreseeable future (i.e., meaning thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of business that he could secure for the establishment - so he would want to try and be helpful to impress for a potential first time customer with repeat business right? Nope!). What I can say is that the brief interaction i had with whoever was operating the phone today left no doubt that this was indeed a new england operation. I merely wanted to confirm if this was a Pats bar, how many TVs they have, and if it was going to be a good place to watch the game tomorrow because i wanted to give them my business, and he sounded confused and annoyed i even called. I asked about how many specific TVs they have and he was like yea they'll be playing the games. I asked again cus that's not a response to my question and he responded that he was too busy to answer my questions in a rude way ("look man, I'm super busy). Hung up in his face the second I heard this and won't be going tomorrow, thanks for making the choice to go with connecticut yankee simple!
