Snow Bliss Cafe San Francisco Reviews
The first time I discovered this place was when I was browsing through DoorDash seeing what to have to eat and it immediately made it to my list for a place to visit and tryout. This place is fairly new and a good addition to the area since there are not much Asian/Chinese restaurants in the area. Upon arrival, it was dinner time and the place has yet to fill up. I was greeted by their friendly staff and seated right away. Their menu consists of small plates/appetizers, rice dishes, noodles, desserts, drinks and much more to chooses from. Also Dim Sum is served all day here. Everything is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. This place gives out true vibes of a Hong Kong style cafe. As time went by, the place quickly filled up along with people picking up their orders and delivery drives arriving for pickups. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained and understanding where my visit was a satisfying and issue free one. You can dine in, order for take out, place an order over the phone or have it delivered to you via a delivery app. I highly recommend this place to all Chinese food enthusiasts, to anyone willing to try something new, if you need a quick bite, to anyone looking for a laid back spot to dine at or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.
delicious sinitic/east-asian eatery in west portal! 5star food and service! I’ve eaten there twice and both times, the food quality, portion sizes, and service did not fall short! To give an example, my most recent time I got their chow fun, shrimp dumplings, and lotus rice, and a free Thai tea since it was happy hour. The chow fun had the PERFECT texture, the Thai tea was delicious and both sides left me feeling refreshed. Lastly, the server even offered to give me another drink as he saw I wasn’t drinking mine! Truly a RESTaurant, which is so rare to find in this day and age.
We’re so happy to have checked out this lovely place! Family run with pride and care, delicious (!!!) food, super nice service and squeaky clean! Seriously, not a speck of dust to be found. We were both impressed with the super juicy and tender chicken, shrimp (cooked to perfection) and beef, super flavorful fried rice and portion sizes 🤯🤯🤯 we’ll have leftover for a few days! The folks working the place are so nice and take such great care of the cafe. We’ll be back and we’ll bring friends and family!
November 2025: Used to come to the previous restaurant for many years. Stopped by to try Snow Bliss Cafe during dinner time. Ordered the beef chow fun and the broccoli 🥦 beef with rice. Overall, enjoyed my meal. Portion was quite large. Service was friendly. The restaurant is not very big but the workers are pretty prompt. Our order took a while to come out because they were very busy with customers and Togo orders. They gave us complimentary fried won tons for our inconvenience. I thought that was a very nice gesture. (We weren't complaining. They still acknowledged the delay in our order by giving us the won tons.) Overall, would definitely come back again for more delicious Chinese food.
I wouldn't say I venture out to the West Portal too often, but gems like Snow Bliss, definitely make it a compelling reason to! They specialize in bingsu, but their menu is huge, offering everything from popcorn chicken, to rice plates and noodle soups. If you're in the mood for dim sum, they have that too! I ordered the popcorn chicken, wonton noodle soup, and matcha bingsu. The popcorn chicken was notable because it's made Chinese salt and pepper style, which made it really fragrant and savory. Not many places do it this way, but I think they should! Wonton noodle soup was also pretty solid, and the matcha bingsu was refreshing. The chewy mochi made every bite delicious and I would definitely come back here for a full meal, or just for dessert!
Came here for lunch. Ordered the beef chow fun and popcorn chicken with hot honey sauce. Both were tasty. We had to order the yummy tiramisu bingsu. Service was great. Will come back again.
Its been over 20 years since I've experienced this type of restaurant in SF. Back in the early 2K's, HK style dessert started to become popular. Especially in the Richmond District. Late night red bean, coconut milk, jellys, taro.... it was fantastic. Slowly Boba drinks took over the scene. Snow Bliss not only brings back those amazing desserts but the food is also excellent! It has a HK vibe. Small, friendly and delicious food.
Snow Bliss restaurant is brightly lit. You can read a book in there. We came by after dinner to get some shaved ice. We had the mango bingsu $17, coffee bingsu $17, Thai Tea bingsu $17, matcha bingsu $17. My friends enjoyed it. Their menu is 1/2 half dessert snack shop and 1/2 Chinese food. Service was fine. It did take a while for the last shaved ice to come out. We were done with the previous desserts when it came out.
My mom and I came here to get dessert. We decided on the Taro Bingsu- never tried such a thing before. It was $17.99, but it was so unique and yummy that I wasn't upset about the cost. My mom had never tried taro before, but she liked it! My only qualm is that I wish there was more condensed milk to drizzle. The waitress was fast and hard-working. Parking was easy, we got a spot right in front.
Excellent service and attentive. We ordered the Matcha Bingsu. Taiwan style shaved ice. The matcha ice was shaved extremely fine. 😋 The toppings were very soft. The red beans were nice and soft. Will definitely come back again. They also serve dim sum all day and have regular food items as well.
came here late on a saturday night and wasn’t too busy. got the taro and lychee bingsu which were nice and sweet. they are pretty big portions and good for sharing between 2-3 people (or even 4).
I’ve been coming here since they opened, and they never disappoint. The service is always friendly and attentive, the space is clean, and the desserts are both delicious and beautifully presented. Prices are very fair compared to other spots in the city, and I really appreciate that this is one of the few places that stays open late. Their specialty is bingsu, but they also offer sagos, boba, snacks, and more. You should definitely come by and support this business!
Fun and unexpected! Friendly staff! The bingsu is amazing! Shaved ice dessert! We enjoyed the mango one—ice cream, big mango pieces, shaved flavored ice with Fruit Loops and syrup! It’s heavenly without being too heavy or sweet! Highly recommend! Will be back to try all the flavors!
Cute cafe that has a wide variety of dishes! The Mongolian beef was my favorite dish it was very flavorful! The Thai tea bingsu was sooo yummy I need to go back and get that again! The service was also very quick and the owner was very kind! :)
We came here twice in about a month and the second time, the waitress recognized us and remembered a brief discussion we had on travel. She was extraordinary and recalled so much, I was shocked. She also recalled that I saw a dish that I would order the next time I was in, tomato beef jein mein. It was excellent as that traditional and classic Chinese American dish is not always easy to find or cooked well ( not too sweet but tangy)! This was perfect! We also ordered the popcorn chicken which was a bit dry but the flavors were wonderful! Given the quality of food and service and price, this may well become our favorite hangout place!!
Was dragged along to be the babysitter.... We snacked on fries, popcorn chicken, beef chow fun and wrapped it up with Taro Bing Su! Def recommend the beef chow fun. Food came timely and the service was good. The vibes felt welcoming. Check them out !
Jenna was our server and was really sweet! First time trying the place and the popcorn chicken was my favorite. We got a strawberry bingsu and a popcorn chicken, and everyone at the table loved it. Good portions, great pricing, and a family owned business I'm happy to support.
Delicious bingsu! The texture is great. The Taro flavor was our favorite, but my daughter’s favorite was the chocolate. The taro had delicious mochi on it. We also got a scallion pancake. Their menu looks amazing and I’m excited to come back soon and try more foods.

Snow Bliss Cafe totally exceeded my expectations. The presentation of every dessert is beautiful, and the snow ice is unbelievably smooth — light, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. I also loved how customizable everything was, from the toppings to the sweetness level of the drinks. The cafe is spotless and has a really calming atmosphere, perfect for studying or catching up with friends. Staff were friendly and made great recommendations. Overall, a must-visit spot if you love high-quality desserts and aesthetic cafés!

Finally more Asian places at WP! I’ve always wanted a shaved snow place nearby! This is a definite plus for our neighborhood! So for all you locals or people who love shaved snow similar to Japan or Taiwan, this place is it! They are a cute little cafe next to BofA and the service is quick and dessert is very good! The drinks and smoothies are fresh, not from mixes. Both the adults and kids enjoyed our dessert tonight. They also have cooked food but that’ll have to wait for next time. Reminds me a little of Hong Kong Cha Chang Tang (tea cafes). Anyways go support your local business and Asian businesses!

We came in here for the Bingsu and drinks. We also got some fried tofu to snack on. The Lychee Bingsu and fried tofu was very good. I didn't really like the mango coconut sago drink. The service was very good, even with only 1 person working the front with taking orders, serving and cleaning tables. The place was very busy at 3pm, with people coming and going.

Everything looks great. Just very slow. Don't come here if you are in a hurry. Taste is ... On the tasteless side, so in a nutshell I guess it's healthier. Feels like a small family business but still learning how to run business. Everything with Mango flavor tastes funny so we guess it's from powder.
