Tacko San Francisco Reviews
Obsessed. This is my second time here in 2 weeks and I cannot get enough. Guacamole is my favourite in the city. The Nick’s tacos are CRAZY good. A gluten free human’s dream come true too, since it’s all corn :)
The food was really good and tasted authentic which I always pay attention to. The staff was very nice and the restaurant/tables were always cleaned. The music in the background is a nice touch especially because it’s not just plain elevator music. 10/10 I would def recommend the restaurant!!
This place is awesome. They use high quality ingredients and vegetable oils instead of lard, so the food isn’t as heavy. Good beer, wine, and natural juices plus Horchata. If you’re trying to eat health get the burrito bowl minus the rice and you will be happy. The owner is from New England, so there’s also a lobster roll! Mexico style burrito and tacos are pretty authentic (yes I know burritos aren’t Mexican).
🌮 A Must-Try for Fish Taco Lovers! 🌮 As someone who’s passionate about trying fish tacos all over the world, I have to say—this was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had! The taco was huge, packed generously with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was bursting with taste, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality and freshly prepared. Ordering was quick and hassle-free, which made the experience even better. The staff was friendly, and the service was efficient. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and inviting—perfect for a casual bite or a quick lunch stop. If you’re a taco enthusiast (especially fish tacos!), you have to give this place a try. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The lunch I ordered from here was very good. The carneasada quasidilla I ordered from there really hit the spot. I loved every bite of my lunch from here. I highly recommend people stop by and have some lunch from this spot. I wonder why I didn’t know about this place sooner. I give them 5 stars ⭐️
Tacko is hands down the best taco place in San Francisco! Every time we visit SFO, it's the first stop we make. We literally take a Waymo straight there. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, with perfectly seasoned meats and toppings that are just right. The staff is incredible always friendly, fast, and welcoming. You can tell they care about creating a great experience. If you're in SF and craving tacos, Tacko is a must-visit!
Everything here is DIVINE!! Loved my carne asada burrito bowl - felt healthy and had so much steak!! The chips and guac were huge. The corn (elote) was heaven and took me back to when I lived in Mexico! The shrimp taco was also soooo good! Overall such a great place for a delicious bite! Loved!!
Very good dining experience. I ordered the California burrito and the carne asada was some of the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the fish taco, and wanted to go back and order a second for how good it was. The restaurant was very well staffed with helpful people that seemed to want to be there. Will definitely be back if I am in the area. They also have a vast array of drinks to choose from, as well as hot sauces.
Absolutely loved my experience here! Despite how busy it was, the wait time was surprisingly short, and the food came out fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and efficient, and everything was made with such care. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, making it the perfect spot for a great meal. The drinks are cheap. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Mexican food with minimal wait time!
It’s okay overall, the tacos are good, but not as good as any real Mexican taco shop in the city. The music from the kitchen is better than the dining area. It’s nice to have sparking water on tap! Kitchen was a bit slow around closing time. The tortillas are quality, the guy bussing tables is great 😊 I would give five stars if they at least had lingua or tripe as an option
San Diego burrito was filled with steak. Looked small but very filling. Big knock is the whole wheat tortilla, which gets soggy quickly and has an unpleasant grainy texture. Crispy fish and grilled fish tacos are really nice on their white corn tortillas and wrapped in a way that isn’t messy. Interesting northeastern coastal vibe. Expensive but nice.
Decided to spontaneously grab dinner after a workout class and stumbled upon Tacko. I came in around 730p and it was super busy! Not busy enough where you couldn’t find a table, but there was a bevy of delivery drivers all huddled around the counter to order. You order then grab a number to sit down. It took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive, but the food did feel tasty and worth the wait. Highlights were definitely the steak quesadilla and the baja fish taco. If you get the tacos, the nicks way is delicious! And my favorite salsa was the verde. I also grabbed a horchata which tasted a bit of watery but was still refreshing. Their chips and salsa comes with a heaping amount of pico de gallo. All in all - Would recommend!
So yesterday after riding into town the night before we stripped down the gear off the bikes and run some errands. One of our stops was the local trek bike store and over there they told us about this restaurant. So we took a ride around the corner and took a seat. The inside was very nice and the menu had some great options. So we had the 3 traditional tacos , one chicken ,asada and pork these were delicious. I felt like I was in Mexico getting it right from a food truck. We also had the California burrito which was absolutely delicious, we tried the nicks way taco which you have to try. Along with my Margarita this was a absolutely a great mean. Must try
A friend told me I should check this place out. I ordered the Baja tacos and the grilled fish tacos, chips and salsa and horchata. Grilled fish was good, Baja tacos needed the fish I got a lot of battered and little fish :( the chips and salsa was yummy they actually top the chips with the pico salsa, horchata didn’t have much flavor. The staff super friendly the place have outdoor sitting area and cute inside. I might give it another try at this place :)
