Wen's Kitchen San Francisco Reviews
Another nice meal at the family-run Wing Lum Cafe. The egg drop soup, spicy wonton appetizer (my favorite), basil chicken and rice were all very good. Service is always good. They had rearranged the tables, and it feels even more spacious.
Food was delish, especially loved the pork fried rice and pot stickers. We also had the corn chicken soup and sesame balls. Everything was hot and fresh at 11pm
Wing Lum Cafe. A cute little place with great tasting food! We ordered Wing Lum Fried Rice, Honey Walnut Prawns, Szechuan Beef...as a bonus the house threw in 4 egg rolls! Such a nice surprise! Their water was ice cold and very large and never went empty. The staff was very nice and treated is like visiting family members. Thank you Wing Lum Cafe!
The food was excellent! One dish is plenty for two people.
It tastes so good, we add twice more rice, quickly eat up all the foods.
So many different flavors and all were good! Service was punctual without being overbearing, and even very cheerful. Music and lighting was perfect. Very rarely do you find these kinds of places in the city. We asked if we should order another dish and, I stead of trying to make more money, they said our would be enough. They were right! Worth a visit for sure.
Excellent, late-night Sichuan option in San Francisco — perfect for a pre-game or post-night sustenance when bar crawling along Polk. Dishes are elegantly mala, not too full-on, not too mild. Highlights include Szechuan Noodle Soup, Salt and Pepper Prawns, and Garlic Sautéed Fish Filet. Impressive flavor balance in a city where it’s not so easy finding good Chinese beyond Cantonese. Will certainly be back!
Delicious food! The honey walnut shrimp was amazing! Super fresh food, easy going atmosphere and very friendly service.

I’ve been to Wen’s Kitchen multiple times with large groups and they are always able to accommodate us with short notice and excellent service. At this point I’ve tried almost every item on the menu and everything is great. The fried rice and honey walnut shrimp are especially delicious and everything is very authentic
Food quality has improved a lot as of late. Really enjoyed the Singapore noodles and Pot Stickers. Wen's has been hit or miss over the years, but made it back into my current go-to for classic American Chinese in the neighborhood, better than Wok Shop or Bamboo.
The owner is very kind and she made me some food off the menu. The food here is fresh and good. Love ordering from them my favorite, the fried rice and sweet and sour chicken are delicious

I want to say this is my favorite Chinese restaurant and sometimes the quality isn’t that great when you order on line , but Wens was beautifully packaged and it came hot and everything was carefully assembled in our bags when the food came to our house at midnight we placed the order I’m telling you it’s so yummy! And the people are very polite and curious I called to let them know I didn’t like hot spicey to much and my Mongolian beef was so perfect I really love this restaurant I will be ordering from now on . At first I thought it was a little high priced but when you taste the food it’s every bit worth the price I’m really happy :)😎
Good food. Although don’t expect spicy schezwan food but it was good enough. The popcorn chicken had chillies but tasted sweet for some reason. Also I liked that you can just order from your table and you pay while ordering.
We got the beef chow fun and sesame chicken. It came out piping hot and full of flavor. The noodles were delicious and the beef was a good texture. The sesame chicken was crispy and very good- definitely has some spice to it.
My hubby & I had a nice time at Wing Lum Cafe. It was in walking distance from our hotel, Castle Inn. The food was very good-boneless pork, house special fried rice & shrimp dumplings, yum. Staff is very friendly.
The food was good. We ordered more dim sum after we finished our plates. The restaurant was clean and prices were what I expected for dim sum. Our server was very impatient and it was clear she was annoyed that we did not know what we wanted to order. We had never been there and we walked a mile to get there so everything looked good. However, I give her credit because by the end, she was very friendly. I would have no problem going back.

Average Chinese joint. Felt like the portions were kind of small for the price, but the location is spacious and nice. Service is mostly self-serve. Scan the QR code at the table, order and pay through your phone.
One of the reasons I gave 3 stars is because this place doesn't know if it's a regular restaurant or a casual fast food restaurant. The servers don't take traditional orders, you scan a qr code and then you choose, order and pay for food through the website. Server delivers you the food you ordered. The sizzling rice soup lacked some of the seasoning and vegetables. Sesame chicken was tasty. Fried rice was good. S e r v i c e was okay s

Szechuan noodle soup was bad in a way I couldn’t eat most of it and left an unpleasant aftertaste. Did not have a good range of vegetarian options
Very low quality, Chinese food to salt and pepper. Chicken was absolutely disgusting. The batter was also disgusting and distasteful just overall would not recommend the general so check-in was also unpleasant. The only thing that was acceptable was white rice because there’s no way to get that wrong

Ordered through DoorDash and the food was absolutely awful. Immediately got a refund and ordered from somewhere else. The food had no flavor, lacked salt and spice. For example the orange chicken bread was very soft and had bits of cartilage.

I came to eat in this place because I love to eat Chiness food , but I was surprised by the person who takes the orders and works as a very rude waitress. She doesn't know how to talk and speak disrespectfully. I won't come back there again.
