This place is a gem! Ian, our server, was fantastic and helpful as it was out first visit and everything looked awesome. We sat at the kitchen bar and could see all the dishes coming out. Everything looked awesome and was prepared with care. It's not cheap but the portions are generous, so bring an appetite. Coffee and cappuccino were fantastic. Great beers, even though didn't start there! Will visit again when in town.

Came out of curiosity, the menu was interesting. Lots of counter seats and a host stand that leads to tables. Divorced eggs is a childhood favorite, and who can resist a Hangtown Fry? Attentive service, good prices, and very delicious! Enjoy!

Might be one of the best brunch places I've been to in SF. I got the fried chicken sandwich since it seemed to be their most popular item, and the flavors were spot on. My friends got the morning bowl and the market st benedict, which were also amazing. One thing Wooden Spoon could do better is managing wait times. Since we saw that there was a ~30 minute wait, we decided to walk walk around and explore the area until we were in the front of the line. When we saw that there were 0 parties ahead of us, we got back to the restaurant in anticipation that we would be seated soon. However, it took us over 20 minutes of additional waiting before we were seated. The food may have been worth the wait, but more accurate timing would have made the experience much smoother.

Amazing food and lovely servers! We sat at the bar and our service was very fast and excellent. The staff was very engaging and kind.

Amazing food, great service, and perfect theme. We had the eggs benedict and pancakes which all tasted excellent! Presentation on all food was great. Water was constantly topped off. Make sure to drop off someone to start putting your name on the wait list via the QR code. It can get pretty busy towards the later hours of the morning. Also, the venue is small, so if your party is bigger than 4 plan for a longer wait time.

I read some reviews about the about the waiters being lovely to customers and happy to be there and it’s true. The 3 ladies we met while lunching there were helpful, had a lovely smile everytime they reached any table and didn’t seem to be in a rush to attend other customers and that did it for us. Apart from the food being amazing, it’s the customer service that’ll bring us back very soon! Tuna melt w arugula salad w a lovely mild dressing + the hot sauce for the sandwich were great. The big spoon brkfst for my partner was also great! Gracias! We shall be back :)

One of my favorite places to go in the city for breakfast and brunch. I love bringing out-of-towners to the spot because the food selection is amazing and you can always find something for everyone. They have amazing vegan options, vegetarian and gluten-free as well. The drinks are delicious. Coffee is fantastic, and the service is kind and attentive. I love the seating. It feels so cozy to sit by the window in the booth or at a table. The counter service is also really fun to interact with who’s behind the bar, and the high top chairs and tables also feel communal and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Been there twice with my friends and we definitely love it! Drip coffee with Benedict is my fav combination and my friends love the way you make the potato they’re so crispy!

There will be a wait, but it is so worth it! Everything was delicious and there was a good variety of options! Staff were super friendly and attentive, despite being really busy!

Nice little breakfast spot near the Castro. Staff are very friendly and helpful during our meal. They had a decent selection of breakfast entrees. The ones we ordered were all delicious and good portion. We were nicely stuffed after our meal.

Really solid brunch spot with an upscale, clean vibe and a menu full of interesting options. We tried the Dr Birch muesli, veggie bowl, salmon scramble, and Swedish pancakes. The muesli stood out — hearty, not overly sweet, and packed with nuts and fruit. The salmon scramble was also really well done and felt satisfying without being heavy. We went around noon on a Sunday, and it was packed, but the wait wasn’t bad if you’re fine with bar seating. I’d definitely go back and work my way through more of the menu.

We got recommended this place, we went and it was amazing! We ended up going twice during our visit to SF. The Huevos Rancheros, French Toast, and Swedish Pancakes. All 10/10. Huevos were so flavorful, perfectly cooked. French Toast was light, fluffy and delicious. Swedish pancakes were lightly sweet, more like crepes, and sooo good with the lemon cream. Rachael was super friendly and helpful during our first visit. The bartender and bar back were really nice and attentive as well. On Sunday the wait was about an hour but totally worth the wait. Do not pass up this gem!!!

Great brunch option in the neighborhood. The food was great and sunday breakfast cocktails really hit the spot. Staff and other diners seem to know eachother making it seem its a regular go to spot for locals! We got there around 9am. By the time we left around 940am there was a line! Id try to get there early to beat the brunch crowd.

Just visited SanFo at Wooden Spoon was one of the highlights of my weekend. Went to sit at the counter by the kitchen and it was such an awesome experience. Their food is so good, not too expensive, and the service is impeccable. Also, the guy doing their plating is fantastic! I would definitely recommend this to my friends in San Francisco.

Nice spot! Surprisingly minimal wait for Sunday morning brunch. 4 of us ordered: grapefruit juice $8 original pattern IPA $9 mimosa $11 house hash $26 salmon scramble $25 huevos divorciados $25 5% sf employer surcharge Street parking only Had to switch out chairs since the one i was on was nearly about to break... Food itself was good. I personally had the house hash. Short rib was made well.

Great brunch spot. Top in the city. Everything we had was great. The lattes are bit sweet, if you are part of the matcha cognoscenti don't order it.

Good varieties for breakfast and brunch. The egg stuff is delicious; very uniquely cooked. Fresh juice options and coffee too. Also recommending the salads. Long waiting times :(

I have to give this place its roses. If you time it right (outside of the rush), you can come in without waiting, but people DEFINITELY know about this iconic brunch spot. Key features: -Fresh squeezed orange juice -Big Breakfast platters (Loved the Big Spoon at $25) -Crispy, tasty bacon -Cocktails & Coffee (Espresso Martini slaps) I also enjoyed the Original Pattern Hazy IPA on tap! Fresh ingredients and customizable breakfast plates for picky eaters and/or dining restrictions. 100% recommend!

The food was great. The fried chicken is so yummy. The smoked salmon soft scramble egg is nicely cooked. We were lucky that we got seated at the bar right away. There usually is a wait. Will definitely come back again!

Find this gem while in the city when I searched best brunch in SF. This place doesn’t take reservations so please expect to wait especially on a Saturday. Our party was of 6 and we waited about 30mins not too bad but when you’re hangry it’s long lol. The place looks small but it’s pretty big in the inside. Our waiter was great and the food came out pretty fast. The nada colada was so good and the lemonade spitrz. I could have had two more spitrz. For food I ordered the curried chicken salad sandwich and it was so GOOD! I was a little hesitant but definitely worth it. The potatoes were also so good with the dipping sauce and the wooden spoon salad was good just needed more dressing. My party ordered the short rib hash and the blt and the fried chicken sandwich. We loved everything. Can’t wait to go here again.

Nice brunch spot on Market near the Church Street stop, it gives an elevated diner experience with mostly counter/bar seats and a few tables. The food was delicious, however, the Swedish pancakes had almost no powdered sugar. This place is definitely solo-guest friendly too.

The place is small but nice ambience and bar seating is slightly cramped. Service was very quick. Food tasted good, but portion size is small. Was expensive for the size, but not more than any other brunch place in sf. Would go once, but will not revisit.

Got big spoon, potatoes were the best. Granola french toast was unique. Fresh orange juice was delicious and refreshing. Would not recommend the huevos. Portion sizes are decent. There was a waiting line but it moved quick. Service was quick too. Bar seating is more than table seating but bar seating is super cramped. Open kitchen and bar, good atmosphere.

Came in without a reservation mid day on a weekend and was able to get a spot at the bar without a wait. The bartender/waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. In fact, all the staff were almost joyful and seemed happy to be there, which made this experience so pleasant. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup and my partner had the standard breakfast. We both got mimosas as well, which the bartender was quick to ask us if we wanted refills. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxed and made for a nice afternoon. All of the eclectic wooden spoons that decorate the interior add to a their vibe and brand. We absolutely will be coming back. I saw quite a few things on the menu I’d like to try.

Another oldie but a goodie.Expect brunch bliss at this spot. The ambiance is cozy and you will be greeted with the tantalizing aroma of fresh-baked pastries and the sizzle of eggs on the grill. Most dishes are palate pleasers. On a first come, first serve basis, it’s a friendly race to snag a table so try to come early.
