We ate here on my birthday. I knew the previous management, but I have to say this new one is excellent too. Everyone is very kind, the waitress was a really nice girl. We ate very well. Someone had the radicchio and walnut plin, someone the ragù, preceded by mixed antipasti. The desserts were also very good, both the blackberry tart and the bunet! All this was accompanied by a beautiful atmosphere, the landscape, the view... Gallo di Monte is one of the few places that conveys peace to me. For someone like me who comes from a city, it's exactly what I'm looking for. It's a shame the former mayor modified the structure; the previous outdoor staircase was much more appropriate and beautiful. In any case, it's a place I recommend for a quiet and enjoyable lunch break.

The Gallo di Monte bar is located in Garessio 2000, near the ski lifts of the same name, and is open year-round. Friendly staff, it offers a delicious lunch menu at reasonable prices. If, like me, you don't arrive at the usual lunchtime, they also offer an excellent selection of toasted sandwiches and piadinas, as well as delicious torta verde (green cake). Not to mention a wide selection of cakes for a snack—I recommend the zabaglione on hazelnut cake! Last but not least, the view from the spacious, sunny terrace.

A beautiful chalet on the Garessio 2000 slopes, offering home-cooked food with a wide selection of first and second courses. The desserts are also excellent, especially the pear strudel. Friendly and helpful staff, and the service is very fast. Highly recommended.

Briefly: We stopped here on a Sunday motorcycle ride (the place was also frequented by several biker groups). It's located in Garessio 2000. The style is that of a wooden mountain cabin, so cute! Beautiful view from the balcony and fresh breeze. We tried a platter of cured meats and cheese, and everything was fresh and delicious. The gnocchi and polenta with cheese were both delicious! The portions were decent, and the price was average for these places. Recommended.

I'm going against the grain of recent reviews, but unfortunately, our experience (and that of many other customers who were there for lunch on Sunday, August 17, judging by the comments we heard as they were leaving) was very negative. There were definitely some issues in the kitchen, and the tension among the staff was palpable (to put it mildly: harsh words were exchanged...). We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for two entrees, and I won't comment on the quality of the ravioli with wild boar sauce. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, the owner responded rather sharply, trying to justify it by saying it was a difficult time during the August bank holiday, and then harshly reprimanded a waitress... who, by the way, didn't mince her words. A real shame. It's a shame, because the promise was excellent. We'll consider giving it a second chance.

The place is beautiful, the waiters are good and very kind. Why only one star? 2 reasons: 1. We stopped for lunch, consisting of just one slice of cured meats and cheeses, and a sandwich. I can't justify the fact that the sandwich/s contained only one slice of prosciutto with a little toma cheese, even though it was good. But the price was exorbitant for a sandwich of that consistency. 2. For the inappropriate treatment I received. I don't think I'll return to this place as long as this management is in place.
