Antojitos El Big Boy San Jose Reviews
Pulled up around 2am on a weekday because everything else was closed and man the California burrito & their banana horchata was amazing 10/10. Did not expect it to be this good
I have heard so amazing things about this place and I am so happy I finally manage to get a gordita! The salsa Verde is a blessing! Also, great tamales
Got some of the best tasting tacos!!
We got the food fast and it was tasty. You have parking on spot.

Super Good food for great price. I had some tacos and they were good and definitely satisfied my craving for late night tacos. The salsa was also great and had a little kick but not too spicy (great for everyone!). They accept several forms of payment including apple pay which was really convenient. Will definitely come back to try out other menu items.
I’m an SJSU student and I come here practically every week with my roommates for the $1 tacos and $3 pupusas! Good, cheap choice for dinner for Monday and Tuesday nights. Their horchata de fresa is also very delicious!
Food Ordered: Super Burrito, al Pastor. Regular burrito, al pastor. Time visited: 10pm Wait: 15m Cleanliness: 4/5 (outdoor, but very clean) Noise Level: 5/5 (outdoors) Staff Friendliness: 5/5 Food quality: 5/5 Value: 4/5 (most burritos are $10, lots of specials) Comments: this place is great for a late night dinner when everything else is closed. The staff is friendly and they have a very nice and clean outdoor setup if you want to stay and eat. Expect a bit of wait if you go right at 8:30-10pm.
Found this place because Spartans was packed. Wow this place is a hidden gem. The horchata was perfect. Chicken tacos and carne asada fries bomb.com. Good friendly service and our order was ready quickly. Definitely recommend this place you won't regret it.
Stopped by for a quick bite last night, ordered the Chimichanga with carne asada. This was by far the best chimichanga I’ve ever had. With dining options very limited here in the San Jose area late at night, this place was fantastic. I will definitely be stopping by again for great food.
So so good!! I always get my pupusas from here and they are delicious. Their carne asada fries are also so good + their strawberry horchata. 10/10 recommend!

Overall great food and birria
Overall great food and birria
The pupusas are good, the Aguas are really great too, the tacos were on the dry/bland side. The thing that bugged me was just that they wear no masks and also touch money and then the food/drinks.

Their Al pastor meat was quite salty, so I'd pass on that, but everything else was okay. $1 taco Monday, and $8 burrito wednesdays Update: you may not be able to pay with credit card sometimes, depending on whether they can figure out how to fix it. We were not able to pay with credit card and had no cash. Food quality continues to be okay, definitely not the best quality but it's decent for the price of $1 tacos
TL:DR super burrito is painfully bland, tacos are just average, pupusa is excellent, crunchy taco is pretty good. Don't bother with the asada, it's average. Suadero is the best meat here, and the carnitas is also pretty good. Would still rather go to La Vic's. For late night Mexican downtown, it's pretty decent. On different days of the week they have specials like $1 tacos on Monday! I wish this place was here when I was at SJSU in 2014. Pricing here is spectacular. On the Monday deal I got 2 asada tacos, 2 al pastor tacos, a crunchy taco with suadero, a pupusa, and horchata for only $15! Super burrito is ultra bland and NEEDS salsa to be edible. Despite having cheese and sour cream in it you could taste it at all. It just tasted of beans, rice, and onion/cilantro. Skip it. The crunchy taco is pretty good. TONS of meat, whole avocado, cheese, sour cream, and a crunchy yet perfectly flakey shell that seems to be fried just for your order. For $4 it's a steal and delicious. I got this with suadero which is a premium meat, like brisket. The suadero was excellent! Fatty, tender, and tasty, though not as good as the bests places I've had it that do it with crunchy edges. It was the best meat I tried by far, though. The regular tacos were okay and IMO nothing special, but they probably wouldn't disappoint most people. The asada was pretty standard and the al pastor was also pretty good, but nothing stellar. The pupusa I got with cheese and chicharron. The pupusa was one of the best I've had, the cheese was delicious with charred edged, the dough was masterfully done without being too doughy, and the chicharron was tender. Horchata was also very good. I think I prefer mine in the sweeter side but this one was still great. Also, they have three salsas, red, green, and orange. Red was my least favorite, a bit bitter. Green was excellent and spicy with some tang. Orange was by far the best.. their orange sauce is the closest orange sauce I've had to La Victoria's orange sauce I've had anywhere else. Overall, I liked this place for the late night availability, price, and overall experience. It's way better than the Spartan food truck.

2 stars only because service was good. Nobody I was with liked the food, pretty bland and tasted like something you’d throw together at home. For 2 burritos, a quesadilla, and some desert the total was $55. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Ordered a burrito on a Wednesday burrito for $8, added extra guac.. when I got the burrito, I was not expecting much but nah fam it just ain't it. What did I expect ugh, little meat, I was just tasting the tortilla when I had the first bite, took 4 full bites to get to the filling 😣 when I got to it it was alright, just alright. The sauces are goated tho, the stars are for the sauces alone. Burrito is not a burrito.

Very sad food.. was planning to go to spartan fodo truck but die to a long queue there, ended up here and the food was really sad, example: ordered burrito bowl, it had just usual rice beans and lettuce no hot sauce no other veggies no avocado or any additional toppings. I do not recomment this place
Coming from LA, we're used to really good Mexican food from taco trucks. This had to be by far one of the worst burritos I've ever had. Dry and tasteless. Not to mention overpriced. Stay away!!
