Jazen Tea San Jose Reviews
Ordered Uber Eats from here and it was delicious. Had a shrimp pho. They packaged it well and it had great flavors.
Pretty good pho place. Service is quick and we were seated swiftly. The menu has a lot of different choices but it’s good to focus on the pho. After choosing what to eat on the menu we quickly ordered. After a bit of time we got the food. It was a pretty big bowl for the large pho. It was really tasty both the noodles and the broth. The rolls were also good to eat; though not as good as the pho.
This was my husband’s favorite place 7 years ago. When we’re back to the Bay area, my husband was upset because he couldn’t find it in the old location. Glad we could find it again via Google Maps. The food was good, actually good Pho compared to many Vietnamese restaurants. The spring rolls were delicious. And, I love the combo they have for Pho + tea. Service was quick and the restaurant was spacious. We’ll talk come again!
My boyfriend and I come to Pho Hoa every time we’re in East San Jose without fail. Every. Single. Time. We’ve never had a bad experience here. The pho is the best in the area and the entrees are out extremely quick. There’s a massive dining room, so there’s always plenty of space. Though, they do tend to get pretty busy at lunch and dinner time. They also have extremely late hours, so it’s the perfect late night snack!
Food overall is great everytime. Bathrooms are stinky and needs to be clean. Bathrooms needs work.
The employees were really nice. The girl behind the cashier helped me pick my order with a positive attitude. I would recommend this restaurant to friends & family members.
Good portion size. The flavor was pretty average to me. I ordered the veggies pho with shrimp, i was brought the shrimp pho. My friend enjoyed the chicken pho plenty of meat. My lychee drink was fresh just way to sweet. Overall it felt like no one was really listening, i asked for extra basil and sprouts they never came. I asked for the veggie they never came. Do I have to return, maybe just wouldn't go out of my way.
This is a good place to get your Pho fix if you’re in the area. We came to try the beef rib Pho which was very nice. I ordered the special and the raw beef was delightfully tender — and there’s ample toppings for the noodle soup. You can get a combo (pho + drink) for around 13 and it’s a great deal. I got the Thai Milk Tea boba, but I wished I had ordered the fruit drinks in stead because the menu were soo tempting. The Thai milk tea was good as well.
Pho Hoa + Jazen Tea on Tully Rd has the bones of a solid Vietnamese spot, but it’s been coasting for too long. The broth lacks depth, often tasting watered down, and the boba drinks—while varied—don’t always hit the mark. Popcorn chicken and spring rolls are decent, but not memorable. Service is fast, but not always attentive, and the dining area, while spacious, can feel impersonal. It’s a place that gets the job done, but rarely leaves you wanting to come back. What makes it underrated isn’t hidden quality—it’s that people expect more and settle for less. The late-night hours and combo menu draw crowds, but the consistency just isn’t there. With a little more care in flavor and presentation, it could stand out. For now, it’s more of a backup option than a go-to.
This used to be my favorite spot for pho. I went in today and the Vietnamese soup was very greasy. Was really hot, but to the point where you had to wait a while to eat it. By that time, my noodles were really soggy. I do wish this place would offer different types of noodles. Even before today’s review, the noodles would get too soft right away. Today they were falling apart and because my soup was so greasy it was making a mess all over my face. Not very clean anymore either. The seats were full of crumbs in the cracks. I also asked for no onions and it was full of onions. I mentioned it to the waiter and then I had like four people at my table trying to take my soup which I then just said it was fine. The waiters stand around and just stare at you when you’re eating. Very awkward. The flavor is still there but too greasy. You could see it in the picture I posted. Might do a search for different pho spot before I come back again.
First off, I dont like leaving negative reviews. But this experience wasnt pleasant. I had bought from this restaurant some time before which was decent and I was in the mood for some pho so I was back. I had gotten take out , I did leave a note stating I didn't want onions in my soup. To me it looked intentional. Because my soup was smothered in onions, which wasnt the end of the world but the fact they didn't take their customers modifications serious was frustrating. Last time I requested it they did it . I thought they might of been busy but no they were not. It was completely dead. The second thing which to me was like wth, the shrimp I paid extra for which was an additional 5 bucks had the poop line still intact . So it Wasn't cleaned properly and theres no consideration for their customers requests AND My drink was missing an ingredient as well . Very ANNOYING (is as nice as i can state it). I honestly will not be returning to this location. There are dozens of pho spots here in the bay which I will be giving my service and money to. Maybe retrain your staff it might help.
Ordered take out. Got the Brisket pho. Instead I got chicken. Called to ask why that happened. The guy on the phone kept hung up on me 3 times and I couldn't call again as my calls went straight to voicemail. Terrible service, and not a professional person. don't recommend this place.
Don’t get wrong I’ve come to this food chain so many times but the only issue I notice until today was the schedule. The last seating they take is at 9:30pm and last order to go is at 9:45 pm. So they don’t close at 10pm as they have it on google.
THIS IS THE WORST PHO PLACE EVER, LOOK AT THE RIB IT HAS NO MEAT ITS MOSTLY FAT AND ITS ALL COLD AND THE BROTH IS COLD TOO. EVERY PHO PLACE I BEEN TO HAS HOT BROTH FOR EVEN TO GO ORDER FOR GRUBHUB AND DOORDASH! THE SERVER I SPOKE TO SAID THEY NEVER SEE THE MANAGER SO HE COULDNT ASK FOR REFUND
If I could give 0 stars I really would. I'm not sure if the cashier on my receipt is the correct name but according to this her name was An Ngoc L. Super rude service, it was my 1st time there and I asked about sizes and she looks at me without answering and says "anything else?" As if I had ordered. When I asked about the sizes again she scratches her eye and points to the side with the most annoyed look at the size comparisons and I tell her while pointing which one I want. Then she scratches her eye again and says "so which one?" And I smile at her and repeat the same process. She does the same thing to my friends who order their food, also being here for the very 1st time and I can't understand it at this point how someone can be so rude, responding as if she shouldn't have to assist us and as if looking at us is painful. I paid for the rest of my friends food and drink and when she hands me back my card and receipt to put in a tip she finally smiles at me. I've never been known to not tip my servers just because I've never had this experience before. When I received my drink it was wrong. I did not have the heart to have it replaced out of fear they would treat me the same way. I am not coming back here anytime soon.
