If you’re looking for a tasty, family‑friendly, genuinely warm spot in San Jose, this restaurant is such a lovely choice. It’s the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your routine — the spot you think of when you want something comforting, simple, and reliably good. The food is always delicious, the portions are generous enough to keep even hungry kids happy, and the prices stay parent‑friendly, which makes the whole experience feel even better. It’s one of those rare places where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and know you’re getting great value without any fuss.

Second time visit, food is awesome especially the chicken Cam ga ro ti. The beef pho was quite good also and the spring rolls excellent. Service was attentive and helpful (we got 5 rowdy kids) The cleanliness needs a little upgrade though

Food was absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I are always scoping around pho restaurants around San Jose area and this one definitely is a 10/10 if it’s your first time I recommend trying the pho steak and most of all their amazing chicken

This is probably one of my favorite places to eat lunch since starting working in San Jose. The chicken pho is unmatched everywhere else I've had it. The broth is light and savory, and the chicken is flavorful. If you're a fan of the chicken organs (heart, liver, kidney), you'll enjoy it a lot. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat, though the large is definitely a large meal. (#1 comes large by default!)

Best Pho I have ever had. Simply no other words. I always get the no. 1 and my husband gets the no. 15. Unmatched in taste! We have been here more than 30 times and it always tastes and looks the exact same. And their home made chili sauce is A+++. We have tried so many other Vietnamese places because we love pho but it’s never the same as this place.

I was recommended by a friend to try the restaurant's duck noodle soup. My family went with 4 adults and 1 baby and the service arranged seats very quickly and enthusiastically. We ordered rice vermicelli soup with bamboo shoots and duck salad x 4 🤭 The food is served quickly, the noodles are served with a dipping sauce that goes very well with the duck salad. I ordered sugarcane juice to drink together, it was delicious. the price is very reasonable. My family will definitely come back when they visit San Jose

This is an authentic Vietnamese specialty chicken and duck noodles and rice restaurant 😋. It is located across from Vietnam Town on Story Road, in San Jose. You know it's good and authentic since there is a wait if you come on weekends and 95% of the customers are mostly American Vietnamese. I really like this restaurant for their consistency foods and great service every time I come here. My favorite soups here are duck rice noodles or rice with a side cabbage salad. If duck is not your favorite, then you can order your soup with chicken. Not in the mood for soup? They do have quite a variety of rice dishes with chicken. The servers here are young, polite, and very attentive to your request. They're super fast here as well. Best of all, the service is very consistent every time I come. I always leave absolutely satisfied and would not mind leaving at least 20% tips. Come and try this restaurant out and support San Jose local business. Forget about those Vietnamese chains restaurants that are now imposing an automatic 18% service charge on your bill regardless of the service being good or bad.

All dishes have big portions and yummy and you won’t be disappointed. Their savory ginger dipping sauce is to die for. There will be a wait if you come during peak lunch or dinner hours, especially on weekends. Parking is really tough on weekends though.

My go-to place for any chicken-related Vietnamese dish like Pho or Hainanese rice. Their rice dish with fried chicken is great, totally recommend. Would not be ideal for anyone that prefers store bought chicken over free-range chicken, which tends to be tougher meat.

I visited a couple weeks ago and complimented the cashier of how amazing the Pho was. I ordered the Chicken Pho and my goodness, I haven't had Pho this good since I lived in Washington state 2022. I'm a huge fan of Pho and have tried every Pho restaurant I can get my hands on. This so far has been my favorite, thank you for sharing your love in the broth, I can taste the passion and the hard work making it. The staff were super friendly except the senior busser, which is totally fine I still appreciate all the hard work. I also like the idea of placing paper on the tables to prevent mess. Super clean and worth the wait. A++++++++

No doubt this restaurant is serves delicious rotisserie chicken and duck with pho, prices are reasonable. Not sure if they were understaffed or extremely busy during the holiday weekends, but the table was sticky. If you go bring some table wipes, but overall food is good.

Almost every dish at this restaurant is good. I've tried several items on the menu, and I liked almost all of them. The flavors are solid, and the food is generally satisfying. You should try out their fresh pressed sugarcane juice — it's absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

A favorite spot of my husband. He really likes food here. I knew about this place but only tried it for the first time. They nailed the Congee with Duck and Ginger Sauce right. Their chicken dishes were also good. The chicken meet was juicy and fresh, true to their advertised “only use free range chicken“. The staff were fast and attentive. They also served the food very fast even when the restaurant was full of customers. The only thing I didn’t like was their seatings. It was quite cramped. Even though I was an Asian, I still found my table was quite cramped.

WOW pretty impressive here!!! I finally get a chance to come try this place out and I’m definitely digging this Pho Ga Nha Vietnamese Restaurant!!! I came here for lunch on a Monday and this place started filling up pretty quickly. On weekends I always see crowded of people in front of this Restaurant where it looks very busy and difficult to get a table. Food here is outstanding!!! Now I see why many people eats here. Our Combination Pho Noodle Soup was Flavorful, loaded with Meat and Noodles!! Huge Portions!!!! I love that. Duck dishes, Dry egg Noodles, Rice Vermicelli Bamboo Soup, Rice Platters, and the Fermented Fish Seafood Soup are looking Delicious!!!! I am looking to ordering those the next time I come in here.🥰

Free range chicken dishes three way, boiled-rotisserie-fried. We love the com ga roti rotisserie orange rice plate and the crispy fried noodle chicken. The service is quick so don’t worry about the line. Make sure you write your name on the wait list. My only one complaint is the bathrooms are not segregated so you can actually have access to wash hands when someone else is using it.

When we ordered food, they forgot about the Bun Bo Hue. As I finished everything, they brought out the Bun. It took them 17 minutes and we had to keep checking in. Otherwise, the food is good but a little pricey.

Dropped by over the weekend. Was excited due to some hype for this place . The parking situation was terrible. Crowded and tight parking spots. There were cars circling the lot. When we were seated, the workers were able to accommodate us as the place was packed, and our group was large Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the hype. For my dish, I had the popular one in which was featured in the SF Chronic. The chicken came out dry and tough. Even the sauce didn't help. The chicken had little meat on it. The red rice tasted okay but was a bit hard. The salad was okay, but with raw white onions it made it taste very onion like which overpowered the whole dish. Solid 2 stars for the dish. A total 3 stars overall for the place

This was the second time I've been to this restaurant and it's good, but not for me IMHO. They are a famous chicken restaurant that has been recommended by the SF Chronicle. We ordered the Chicken Pho with all the cuts (Phở Gà Đặc Biệt) and the House Signature Sauce Over ½ Chicken, Mustard Greens, Shiitake Mushrooms With White Rice (Cơm Gà Hấp Cải Bẹ Xanh). The chicken is tender and tastes good, but the flavors are maybe a bit light for my pallet. Portions are huge and this place it'sis always busy. I'd recommend this place if you wanted Pho, but not Beef Pho. They do have Beef Pho here, but I did not try it.

Although our receipt shows a party of 8, we are a party of 6, two of which at children and one child did not eat. We have a total of 4 bowls, we are charge a 15% service fee. I told the lady that one child didn’t eat and she told me it doesn’t matter. So does that mean that even if you come in, you still can be charge even though you don’t eat? What bad business practice. Why charge a service fee, it’s not like we have option to go get our own food, when it’s ready. Bad business practice. Just be aware folks, be prepared to pay 15% service fee and the tax is on top of everything including the service fee. The food itself is blah, it ok, not great. We asked for two bowls so we could share which came out dirty and stuck with the food, when I informed the lady, she was not really happy. I think she brought into the kitchen and wiped it off because there was the same stain of food still stuck on the bowl. Ewh… They say that if you want to know the status of cleanliness in a restaurant check their bathroom, well I have to say their bathroom is really dirty and smelly. There is a water puddles in there, a risk for people who is not careful. Underneath where we sat to eat was a bunch of paper that was never picked up. I would say if the food and safety inspector came to inspect this restaurant, they were definitely fail. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here again. Bad service, dirty restaurant and food is just blah.
