Stanley’s Sports Bar San Jose Reviews
Great way to fuel up after exercising on the rink. The food is good enough and there are hockey translation on the screens. Also there are good views on both rinks from the side windows so you can watch live game sitting here.
Sometimes Stanley's is great. Very often, not. Today is a great day. Here for my son's SJSU game. I'd like a beer please, how about a Red Trolley? YEAH BABY! An *Amber*! Boo-yah! Some people like IPAs, some people like darks, some people like fruity beers, but some people are old school like myself, and like Ambers. Yes! My son's team is losing 3-2 right now, but since Stanley's had an amber, I'm a little happier. 👍 This is new: So SJSU was losing at the 1st intermission, 3-1. I had a Red Trolley from Stanley's. ** They came back to win, 5-3, and my son got the empty netter at the end to seal it! ** So guess what I'll be doing at his future games ... 👍👍👍 The next night. The power and magic of a Stanley's Red Trolley. 😁 SJSU was up 1-0, at the end of the 1st period. I have my now usual Red Trolley. The Spartans end up winning 9-1, and my son had 2 goals and at least 1 assist. I'm telling you, something magic with that beer here. 😇
Ryan and Naomi are the best. Plus we got souvenir cups for free and our food came in less than 2 minutes ❤️ And there was no tax 🤯

Always consistent. Cold beer, decent beer selection that seems to be rotating. The atmosphere is friendly and fun and it's entertaining to watch hockey while having a beer or a bite.

Great place for a beer after your beer league hockey! Guess that's appropriate!? They switch out the beer selection regularly, so there always seems to be something tasty on tap.
We been coming here for years because my granddaughters have Ice skating but this year the service change and not for the better. We had to go up front and order our drinks and food , then pick it up when ready and it’s just put on the side no contact with anyone and yet they spect a Tip? I don’t think so!! When they come to our table and take our orders I won’t mind tipping.
It's a great place to unwind after the exercise on ice. $28/pitcher even with Pliny the Elder was a great deal.
Truly enjoyed Stanley's! The burnt ends (brisket) appetizer was excellent. Small assortment of craft beers and a great place to take in a Sharks game on the plentiful TVs. Lots of seating and didn't feel crowded. Great venue for after skating or watching a local league play.
Was there before the ucdavis San Jose State game great place to be the hockey ring everything the people were tremendously helpful love being there need to get back there anyway

GREAT bar. Perfectly located. Incredible way to spend time waiting for practice to end or even watch a game!!!
Love the lodge atmosphere. Good appetizers and Sculpin on tap! Lots of screens for a variety of sports. Plenty of room for everyone. Nice views of the 3 ice rinks.
Love the staff here. Beer selection could use a little help and expansion considering the size of the clientele. Favourites are Stephanie, Tim, Liza, and Naomi. Oh yeah, that Art guy is cool too.
The atmosphere of the place is fun, lots of Sharks fans come here. The decor of the place is ok, the tvs are set up a little weird, you'll probably end up leaving with a strained neck. The food is very mediocre... I always try to eat before I come. During playoffs and other special events, they have raffles during intermission and commercial breaks. Sometimes they even give away jerseys! You have to buy beer to get the tickets. Definitely has a "hockey" feel, given that it's right above Logitech Ice. You can come ice skate at Logitech, and they even have curling lessons that I've yet to try, sounds very fun though!

The BLT/A wrap is 90% lettuce. Bacon bits that you could barely taste and it’s not avocado…it’s like a guacamole spread that was also difficult to find or taste. And I’m pretty sure I found onions, which aren’t exactly my favorite. Cheese curds were pretty good. Hard to mess up cheese though. Kids Mac n cheese, the curds, the wrap and two adult beverages for $62
Nicely perched above and with great views of 3 sheets of Solar4America ice, this is a cool place for a beer after some hockey. Beyond that, however, it's disappointing: woefully inadequate for food; and drama drenched negative energy for a pub. The apathetic, disorganized, and downright rude staff definitely a buzz kill to what could be a hip scene in town. Chicken Caesar wrap and side salad just barely fast food quality, glass of Hess Cabernet ridiculously overpriced at $13. The decadent dessert menu, however, will probably tempt me to try it again.
Bartender with the pink hair and tattoos is terrible. Everytime I come, she never attends to anyone that's waiting to order and will just do random things instead or she'll only attend to the frequenters/people she seems to know. Tonight, me and this other person were waiting for quite a bit while her new co worker was taking everyone's order. She walks right in front of us, looks at us and then starts to do random things and then walked into the back.
Sodas were flat and didn't know how to make mixed drinks. Food was alright and prompt. Wish we could say that about the drinks. Finished meal before we got them. BJ's on the 27th before the game.

Horrible place. Went to watch the World Series after work. Everything was great until the hockey game came on. The place was empty as heck. Total of 10 TVs and the bar tender turned off the tv I was watching to put on hockey. I asked him why did he turned off baseball and 2 minutes later security guards surrounded me. I wasn’t rude or anything. After about 5 minutes the guards left but I kept hearing why wasn’t the hockey on by staff and customers ( It was on, on 9 televisions) like I said before the place was empty. What pisses me off, I was a paying customer and was just watching baseball. The Bay Area sucks! I even looked like racism because I’m Mexican!
This place sucks and it’s rip off. I ordered a salad with chicken and it came with two small pieces of chicken. They didn’t offer me dressing. I had hunt down someone for the ranch and they looked at me like it was a stupid question. I paid 20
Stanley’s Sports Bar at Sharks Ice, Manager can’t figure out how to use television remote to change channel to sharks game. Left after 15 minutes of miserable attempts to change channel, including entering the wrong channel number 3 times in a row. Legendary incompetency.
In August, 2025, another dramatic price increase and a pitcher of beer went from $27 including tax to $28 PLUS tax ($30.63)--a 13.5% increase! The food has also gone downhill and the last two burgers I had over the last month were dry and overcooked. I have been coming here for years after hockey games and sadly now I'm going to look elsewhere.
