Shout out Reed. Absolutely the nicest person I’ve met behind the bar. I asked for an itemized receipt and he gave it to me no question. I have never had an experience like this.

Cute lil spot. They have cute little swings to sit in upstairs. (THEY ARE BIG GIRL FRIENDLY) ladies!! The swings hold my 275 safely. Drinks are always affordable, line not too long at the 2 bars. During the summer you catch a great breeze upstairs, when it's cold they Block off the draft and add heat. You will love it here. 😀

We popped in for a bit to eat after our hike and during the mermaid festival. 🧜‍♀️ The street tacos are a perfect eat for a small snack. We had the beef and chicken fajita. I wasn't crazy about the nachos they are real simple chips, melted cheese with Pico, and a meat topping. I'm used to beans and cheese with a meat topping to be slightly disappointed for not paying attention to the menu. I was hungry. However, i was not hungry enough to eat the nachos. 🤷‍♀️ Thankful for the street tacos 👍👍 Now they have chips and salsa bar, not a recommendation unless you're a drinker, you won't be bothered by them. Salsa tasted reside like it was going bad and wasn't spicy at all. It was more like pace picante sauce. As far as drink go, I wouldn't know if I didn't have any. However, my friends seem to be content. Oh, we certainly enjoyed the swing seats at the bar. Would I recommend not really. It's a cool spot if you're a drinker and don't really mind the quality of the food. It's not a spot I would be coming back to.

Don't eat here. Too bad SMTX got another college bar. Service is slow and food is crapy. I ordered beef fajita quesadillas and a beef fajita nacho. Both pictured and both less than desirable. They did use real cheese on my quesadilla so that is a positive and my paloma was made well this time. Last time, yikes.

The margarita I ordered today had almost no alcohol in it. However, I like the servers and the atmosphere.

Don’t go if you are hungry. Good salsa, pathetic street tacos, regular bar margs nothing like a Mexican restaurant but, that’s not why you go here. Go here because it’s close and has music, shots, and a cool upstairs.

I love that San Marcos built this super cute spot. The atmosphere is amazing and the bartenders are nice. Drinks are ok-loved the margaritas and flavor choices. The food is not great though. The nacho and salsa stand looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. I think they could elevate the food and charge a little more because that place got so busy after 8. They are losing money on an opportunity.

Worst service ever workers don’t even wanna be there you’re in the heart of San Marcos have some excitement act like you wanna work for some money

The drink was made incorrectly, overpriced, the drink maker rolled their eyes, food came out with things missing, bathroom was filthy. Everything that was wrong was so easy to fix and yet it was ignored, excused, or given a half measure. Never again.

My purse was stolen in San Marcos 3 or so weeks ago. It was reported to me (by an employee) that he'd found my purse and it was locked in the office. I was able to get a ride down tonight and met a helpful bartender downstairs. She looked into it for me in several ways then went upstairs, at my request, to ask upper management. She came downstairs to report to me nothing had been turned in. Please fire the GM on duty this night. I had to walk upstairs and ask him myself, and when he came back from the office he had my purse. Kid was in short shorts and cowboy boots, working the upstairs bar ALONE, and in no way should have been batending and supposedly managing the establishment at the same time. So busy to deny a customer of her wallet and ID (purse)? - 17 year vet

My purse was stolen in San Marcos 3 or so weeks ago. It was reported to me (by an employee) that he'd found my purse and it was locked in the office. I was able to get a ride down tonight and met a helpful bartender downstairs. She looked into it for me in several ways then went upstairs, at my request, to ask upper management.
