The FRIES are soooo good fresh I’d even put them up against five guys fries and burger king fries IYKYK. The staff was very friendly. I ate inside and was able to watch the game. It’s definitely a nice little spot you can sit and chat at. Try the Asian flavors that’s what fire wings is known for. I personally like dragon(unagi flavor) and the Saigon(fish sauce flavor). Both are sweet and savory. The Garlic parm is perfectly seasoned at Fire wings is not as salty as wing stop’s. Tip: Go on wing Wednesdays the bone in wings are 95¢ a piece and do the 10 piece set.

I loved it all. We got buffalo tender fries, Peking wings, Thai chili wings and garlic fries. The garlic fries were perfect, not greasy like most garlic fries. They have the best wings with so many flavors 😋 I thought they had fried pickles but I guess not 😩. Service was great. It was just hard to access as parking is so scarce in downtown SM. I live in the east bay so will try Haywards location next time.

Really enjoyed this wing place. The environment is cool. It's brand new and has a modern design. The wings are really good. I tried the boneless and bone-in wings. Boneless wings are very unique compared to other chicken places. All of the wings tasted crispy and fresh. They put the perfect amount of sauce for me. It wasnt drenched in it, but it was just enough to get all of the flavor. I tried the California, hot, and lemon pepper wings. None of them we're very spicy. The only bad thing I have to say is that the French fries we're just alright. Tastes very similar to Jack in the box curly fries. All in all it was one of my favorite wing places. They have quite a bit of flavors to try so I can't wait to go back and try them out again! Update: Fries are much better since the first time.

Awesome place for some wings. You really get a bang for your buck! Flavors are unique and tasty and it comes with a side of veggies and fries. Their boneless wings were super meaty and bone in was great too. Ambiance is modern and has a bunch of TVs so you can watch your favorite sports. Good service, good location, and overall a chill, delicious place.

Get there before the lunch rush which starts at noon and before the dinner crowd which gets there around 7pm and you'll be fine and be able to find a table. Order things outside the box. Try the peanut butter wings and Thai Chili are my favorites. Also the garlic noodles, garlic fries and stuffed jalapenos are the best sides!

Peanut butter wings - crowd favorite. Can't go wrong with the fusion flavors. Garlic parm can be a bit dried out, hit or miss often compared to the saucy options. Limited seating inside. Service is fast. I like them better than wingstop on the unique flavors.

Fire Wings is an absolute must-try! The food is phenomenal. Every bite is a flavor explosion. The service was top-notch, making the entire dining experience enjoyable. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I tried the original and Nashville chicken sandwiches here. These are both really big chicken sandwiches that’s delicious and filling. The Nashville sandwich was very flavorful and had a spicy kick. On Mondays and Tuesdays they have a special on their boneless chicken for .70 cent each. They are like heavily battered chicken nuggets.

So good! I go to this place nearly every week since I've found it! The salt pepper wings, thai chili, and Malaysia curry wings are top notch! Highly recommend you give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I saw this place a few times in my yelp, but assumed it was going to be expensive. After seeing photos of the menu, it was actually really affordable. The wings looked really good too. They had a wide variety of sauces and sides. It also has a lot more seating than I thought. We ordered 20 wings for $20, the house salad, and garlic fries. We tried the dragon, salt and pepper, and cali rub. Everything was overall really good! Of the three, I think dragon was my favorite. It's similar to San Tung wings, but San Tung's is def superior. The salt and pepper and cali rub were pretty standard, but still good! The house salad was only $6, but was a good size to share. The garlic fries were good too; they use thicker cut fries so I liked it. The soda machine was also really fancy. I would definitely come back again. Bonchon used to be our go-to wing place, but it was getting too expensive. So, I'm really glad we found this new place. I definitely want to try some of their other flavors.

Love this place, haven’t been here in 4 years since the beginning of their opening and nothing changed besides the great outside seating and covid friendly opportunities. 10/10 the owners got this one figured out. Beats any wing spot in the United States

I am a very picky eater and for a place to constantly know how to make the wings. The same in any location you go to, I have been in 3 locations already and they were all consistent and really good and not oily. And just perfectly done. So they deserve a five star.No question

Came here when it wasn’t busy. Juicy chicken yet crispy. Service was really good! Went out of the way to check how we’re doing. A+++

My wife and I had Firewings for the first time here and it still hit different. We always order the pb and s&p wings. Hit the spot all the time. Festive strip when the street is closed as well. This is a great spot for social gatherings in a busy city.

Fire Wings has amazing wings and probably one of the best chicken sandwiches you’ll ever have. The Nashville Hot is a must-try. Another local favorite is the peanut butter wings, definitely a weird concept at first, but the flavor is surprisingly good and very unique. The garlic noodles, however, seem to have gone down in quality. I’ve tried them a few times recently and they’ve been consistently dry. Nashville Hot: 10/10, I recommended this to all my coworkers and friends.

Pretty good! The sandwich doesnr come with sauce on it but it does come with a side dipping sauce. It wasnt enough sauce in my opinion.

Consistent place for chicken wings, as they offer a wide variety of standard flavors such as buffalo, salt & pepper, and garlic parmesan, as well as exotic flavors like mango habanero. Beware that parking can be a major challenge, as it’s located on a busy corner of the bustling downtown San Mateo.

Alright place for lunch. The team wasn’t to versed on what they had in terms of specials But they managed to sell us a few things. Good variety in wing flavors. Clean location, seems to be new for downtown.

The fries are great, too bad the wings were okay. Just okay. No crispness to them. No flavor. Not bad, not good.

Best Mozzarella sticks in the area, no contest. The wings are pretty meaty, and the service is fast but id like to reiterate that the mozz sticks are bussin. !!!!!!!!!!!!!EDIT!!!!!!!: they changed they're mozzarella sticks from breaded to battered apparently, I jst picked some up and they're horrible cafeteria style ones now. I'm so sad:(

I’m really not happy about writing this review. Fire wings is one of the best wing franchises around. It is my go to wing spot. I ask for and pay for extra wet wings and never get it. What am I paying for!!!

The wings and the fries are super super dry. I couldn’t eat them, my throat hurts while swelling from dryness.

The server with the bad lashes is rude. We watched her call out our name and gave our order to someone else who just walked in and never even ordered. We initially thought it was our mistake having a common name. Then everyone in line behind us got their food. 20 minutes later still no acknowledgement of anything just staring at us. She tried to claim they just forgot to make it, just a few more minutes, just 3 more minutes. Shed go back and offered us other people's orders, we'd say no because that's not ours, before she'd actually try giving the food to the correct people. Eventually someone else took over and just refunded us and that was it. There was still no accountability like we hadn't just witnessed what actually happened. And the way she offered us other people's food, no wonder it happened to begin with
