This location is across from a high school and gets sledgehammered, every single day, during lunch, but the management and team here are able to consistently handle it like pros. This location has been plagued not just from.the constant homeless person situation in san rafael but also random.freeloaders constantly stealing drinks from the dispenser or even bringing their own cup. I think management has been too kind & generous in the past but have done a great job at cracking down on reducing thefts and loitering. I believe chipotle staff are super friendly to this public especially considering the people here in the city of San rafael. Its seems as though some people are expecting to be treated like kings and queens in exchange for their bad energy. It makes no sense. People need to take close look into the mirror. The world doesnt revolve around only you. The manager at this location is hands down the best manager I ever saw, honestly, who speaks multiple languages, is a great example and true leader, and even saw her doing sign language to a deaf person. Total boss move! This level of care is rare. The food here is always on point and super consistent. I’ve been coming here for years, the whole crew is actually very friendly, and the new guy at the counter has a great smile. I'd lik3 to say a big thank you to the management and entire team for keeping this place one of the best of the best!!!

I had the best bowl ever. Our server was Claudia. She was clam, polite and patient. I never usually give reviews but this meal made me give one!!

It's funny little story! Every time I grab some chipotle, I usually get small chips ( kids chips) with bowl. Cuz I don't finish bigger bag of chips and throw it away. But at this location, -the chashier said: that I can't get kids chips! -I asked : "If i cannot get kids chip because the kids chips for free for kids?!". -She said: "no it has a price". Then -I said: " what was the problem to that I get small chips since I don't finish the bigger bag of chips?!" -She said: it's small bag of chips for kids. Then -I asked: "how much is the bigger bag of chips?" -She said: $2.75 -I asked: "Then charge me $2.75 and give the small chips. Cuz I don't want to throw it away bigger bag of the left over chips" -She said: "No I can't". Lol 😅😂

food is good as always but…. CHIPOTLE? When will you start to remove the LARGE fat chucks from meat before you serve it? I’m tired of my small portion of carnitas being all fat. Come on… and when I ask to have no fat served they say “so you don’t want carnitas” …bummer

Workers here make me not want to come back. Did my first pick up here and assumed my order would be ready on the shelf. A worker came up and told me to walk up at the front to receive my order. I walked up waited behind a couple people who were already in line, didn't mind waiting. A worker told me to go to the very front but didnt hear what she said until she started gossiping with her co worker saying "I told her to go to the very front and she's still here" while looking at me. Y'all are just chipotle workers and I couldn't hear because of people ordering along with music.

I calmly brought this up to her and asked again—and she still refused, this time with a noticeable attitude. She even told me she could call the police on me for loitering. All I wanted was a basic cup of tap water while I sat with my friends. On top of that, the manager was behaving in an extremely unprofessional way toward her staff—constantly putting her arms around employees and touching them in ways that honestly looked very uncomfortable and inappropriate. It was concerning to watch. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience crossed a line. Between the refusal to follow local law and the uncomfortable dynamic I witnessed with staff, I won’t be returning to this location. Management seriously needs to be addressed.

Horrible experience and extremely rude service at this location. I rarely write any feedback but couldn’t think of a better way to share my experience today. Both my kids love chipotle and have had great experience at other locations. My 8yr old son and I went to chipotle San Rafael on third Street today and my son was looking forward to ordering his own build your own taco. When it’s our turn, this service person (Ji….a) asked what do you want? I told her 2 burrito bowls and 1 build your own taco. She threw the bowls onto the counter and yelled at us rice, beans, meat?? Without trying to take the order one by one or clarifying which goes into each bowl/plate. My son was trying to order and she was not listening and kept yelling any meat? Seriously which item you are referring to? Then the portion of the steak she put in my son’s order was barely an ounce vs the 2oz standard. I asked her to add extra portion and she yelled again…you have to pay extra. I said I understand. The extra portion barely fit half of the small clear plastic container. My Sunday chipotle routine with my kids turned into a nightmare…my son left in complete shock and disappointments. The customer behind us told me afterwards that she observed the whole thing and was shocked as well. Also, this was not first time I had issue with her..it’s the first time my kid was waiting in line and trying to order for himself.

I gave a 1 one star on service, because they did not have the great customer service that I get at all the many Chipotle resturants I have had the pleasure to eat at. Start with, the place was very clean; inside and outside. I ordered the new honey chicken, in a bowl; the bomb !! We visited this location on 4-5-2025 at around a little after 11:00am. Now for the customer service; they all hate their jobs. This job includes the best customer service to represent a great company; failed. No smile when greeted with a big smile from my wife. She just figured that this person was having a bad day. The next employee was even worse !!! The young black lady was not only rude, but very snotty. I was treated about the same from the rest of the staff. The young Hispanic lady with the gold tooth in front of her mouth, acted like I wasn't even in front of her. This could not be my Chipotle that I enjoy each each time in all the states that I have visited !!! Wow, customer service; zero. Kindness to your customers; zero. Their was not a receipt given to us either. We just wanted to eat and leave !!! I will still enjoy this company, just not at this location !!! See my reviews that I have given to other establishments, very accurate and fair. Owner needs to reassess their training or hiring qualities in a person.

I genuinely can not put into words how irritated I am right now. I ordered a burrito bowl via uber eats and they skipped out on putting chicken in it entirely. Even though I specifically asked for both chicken options. Truly night ruining…imagine opening a burrito bowl expecting chicken and finding cold rice, not enough beans, salsa and a negligible amount of guac even by Chipotle standards. I did cry.

This chipotle does such a poor job with portion sizes! I asked for a bowl and they barely put any rice or beans or anything in there, I asked for a little bit more and they charged me extra. Even with the “extra” food, the bowl was only filled up half way. They charged me $22.94 for that bowl. That’s insane for a bowl with barely enough food to fill up a twelve year old. Also all the other locations fill the bowls up to the brim without charging extra and the only time ive ever had a problem with chipotle was with this location. Do better.

Placed an online order with pickup at 7:50 pm, it's 8:15 pm, they served everyone around, I reminded them twice, after 25 minutes the manager came to tell me that they are out of an ingredient and was surprised no one communicated it with me. The server's replies were just oh, hmmm and ignorance. Cherry on top, when I finally got my order after 30 minutes waiting, they were out of both drinks that I had ordered ... Stay away, at least from online ordering. Northgate Chipotle is so much better, worth a few more minutes drive!!

The size of the portion I was given has made me decide to never eat at chipotle again. I've been eating at chipotle for 15 years, and they are one of my lifelong favorites. I am being served less than half the amount of food, for more than double the original cost. I'm done.
