La Salsamenteria Sanremo Reviews
A little hesitant at the exterior appearance, but reassured by the positive reviews, we entered. Both inside and out, the place appears a bit shabby—not in the sense of dirty, as we found it very clean—but rather a somewhat sparse, spartan atmosphere, as is the menu. And this was the only "negative" aspect, if we can call it that, because the food, especially the hot dishes, was satisfying to say the least. The wait was average, and the waiter was extremely friendly. My girlfriend and I had a great time; the appetizers were limited but delicious, the spring rolls where you finally tasted the dough and not the used oil, the soups had a lovely, rich flavor, and the first and second courses left me pleasantly surprised. The chicken was the most tender I've ever eaten in an Asian restaurant, the udon noodles were actually pan-fried, not just reheated. The sushi was delicate and light, but it was a bit of a no-no after such delicious first courses. But the best part of the whole evening was that after a great meal, even though I felt stuffed, I didn't have the typical heaviness you get after leaving other places. It's become my favorite all-you-can-eat restaurant. Highly recommended!
Best shushi place i've been to in a while! lovely people and service! various tasty choices, everything we've eaten was very delicious and freshly prepared! we will return for sure!
I found this place on Google, and it looked really good. When I arrived, there was no one inside or outside, which makes you wonder why there's no one and suspect the quality of the food. I was going with my family, but in the end, we decided to stay. They had air conditioning inside, which was appreciated in the hot weather. We looked at the menu and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered a few dishes, including a 50-piece sushi boat that cost only €35 (when it would normally cost €50 or more in other places). They made everything right away and it didn't take long. The sushi was very, very good. When we left, they gave us each a fortune cookie. The staff was also very friendly and clearly appreciated us coming. Unfortunately, I don't live here, but if I lived in San Remo, I would definitely go back.
Friendly waiters and plentiful, high-quality food at a great price. I would definitely return.
We decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of some friends. The sushi was delicious and the prices were fair. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!
Great Food. Very fair prices!
Great quality of food at very low prices
Amazing restaurant with all you can eat option for only 20 euro. Servers are really kind and overall it’s a pretty good place!
I don't speak Italian, but even so, my experience was the best possible. I saw some comments about the atmosphere, it's really not the best thing, but if you want to know what the best part is, it's the food, without a doubt one of the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life, you can eat as much as you want, at a super affordable price, both at lunch and dinner. Seriously, the food is delicious, everything is very fresh and super tasty. Go, you won't regret it.
Very good all you can eat sushi for this less than 20 bucks price tag if you are looking for some ethic food in additional to your Italian food in the area, Very generous portion and fresh sashimi, tempura shrimp is super crispy and juicy inside, love the mango sushi ( I thought it was odd before tasting it and when I try, I love it instantly- never try never know, right?), the udon noodle is great. All in all, their sushi rice is perfectly cooked, even for someone who mainly eats sashimi in this sort of setting ended up earring quite a bit of the sushi rice. P.S.: feel free to request for half portion or smaller portion. I did that to avoid waste. Glad that they do it!
Excellent for everything. A family-run all-you-can-eat restaurant. Located in the heart of Sanremo, but not very visible and with an uninviting entrance. Excellent cuisine, with reasonably good ingredients, all dishes prepared fresh. Excellent and friendly service. Prices are reasonable compared to other all-you-can-eat restaurants in Sanremo. Recommended.
Great sushi for really chep price
TOP
Big servings and good overall quality. Cheaper than other all-you-can-eat places, no extra charges and drinks are cheap (2 euros for a can of soda is reasonable, other places charge 4). The inside is very poorly decorated and there is no vibe whatsoever.
Best value for money ever!
Good restaurant but u have to wait a lot to get your order
This restaurant is two minutes from the Ariston Theatre. The ambiance isn't particularly impressive. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu: €12 for lunch, €20 for dinner. All the dishes on the lunch menu contain excessive amounts of rice; there's no sashimi. The rice in the nigiri and rolls they served us was sweet and still warm.
Obscene, one of the worst sushi I've ever been to. Poorly cut fish, with bits of skin or even bones in the sashimi. Not to mention the rice: heavy, overcooked, and above all, TOO MUCH, too much rice compared to the other ingredients. The uramaki are gigantic and with very little filling in proportion. You fill up on three plates, which clearly seems like a ploy to quickly fill your stomach with rice and get you to consume as little fish as possible. I can't say about dinner, but at lunch there's very little choice as the menu is very minimal. And despite this, they're also incredibly slow at preparing the dishes (we waited over half an hour for the first items, and the place was almost empty; there were only 2-3 tables occupied in total). The place is run-down, the sticky wicker tables and chairs are a bit disgusting, and the skylight in the ceiling is blindingly bright compared to the rest of the room, which is dark. The only positive note is the price: at lunch €12 for the all-you-can-eat + drinks... but it's not worth it to stay in a dump, eat badly and have rice left in your stomach... I'd rather spend a few euros more and go somewhere else that serves good food.
Verry small portions, and verry bad delivery service...almost 2 hours waiting to receive a small plastic bag with wholes full of boxes and sauce all over the hands of the delivery man ... is it that expensive to use a propre delivery bags?? Earning money is ok, but spending some money to finalise your service is verry important. The worst delivery experience I've ever had
