Great food with speedy service! A Local favorite of mine whenever I’m in the area and I’m craving a Cajun breakfast.

This is not a five-star restaurant but it fit our needs perfectly. We were looking for breakfast one morning and stumbled across it and so glad we did. The breakfast we had was fabulous. And the wait staff were friendly and informative.

Our families preferred breakfast location when we’re in Santa Barbara. The gumbo is delicious and my favorite is the shrimp and grits. Coffee cup is always full and staff is very friendly.

They’re busy, breakfast and lunch, really good service and within the tiny kitchen space Modesto and Feliciano deliver fast and delicious food.

My wife and I had the Shrimp & Andouille Grits for breakfast and they were delicious. Using the shrimp, sausage, and cheese to season the grits was genius. We also had the beignets, they were good too. The service was fast too.

Heard there was a Cajun style kitchen in Santa Barbara during my trip there and immediately marked it for a spot I wanted to try (as im a huge lover of all things Cajun)! I ordered the jambalaya which was outstanding, alongside came yummy cornbread because why not? Tasted as if I was in Nola all over again. They really know what they’re doing here!

Really lovely spot off the main drag in Santa Barbara! The team created a welcoming experience, and the food was spot on. Crispy home fries, golden brown toast, and the eggs were cooked to perfection! The Andouille sausage was delicious too. To top it off off, locally roasted Dune coffee was on tap and much appreciated!

This has been on my list to visit. They were closed the 1st time but glad we went back! The staff is very friendly and the service was great. The shrimp & grits were so good. They were able to accommodate as I don't eat meat. My girlfriend said the jambalaya & eggs were amazing. We had mimosas to wash it all down. I can't wait to go back to try the beignets. I also noticed how clean the cafe was. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Do you want the best breakfast/brunch in Santa Barbara? Go to the Cajun Kitchen. It’s not fancy but the food is delicious and generous in its portion size. The service is impeccable- often refilling my coffee and water. Also it didn’t take much time to have my food ready to enjoy. When I used to live here I often had breakfast here yet I didn’t venture past eggs and sausage. This time I wanted to order a meal that I can’t get easily where I live now on the east coast - huevos rancheros. Wow! I plan to return at least a couple of more times before heading back into near zero temps.

Great food and music! Love this place, the food is yummy and it’s the only spot I can find that serves grits, and they’re delicious. I’m from the south so I need my grits from time to time. Service is always attentive and friendly. Two thumbs up!

The food was so good, we went 2 days in a row. The French Toast was my favorite. It was just regular French toast, but it was cooked perfectly! I also had the blackened salmon omelet. Sooooooo good! The salmon was also perfect. Not dried out! Definitely get there early because they get crowded!

This place has huge portion sizes. I was told that my plate was on the smaller side, and I still thought it was massive lol. We also saw some guys ordering the biscuits, and it genuinely looked like they were bringing out to individual birthday cakes for each of them. The gumbo and jambalaya were awesome. Loved the amount of protein that they included in each of the dishes, and the cornbread went very well with them. I would definitely go back here if I lived closer. 10/10

Great place for breakfast and lunch! Food was very good. We had the Blackened Salmon and the Corned Beef Hash with a side of French Toast. Very tasty and generous portions! Rather busy around 11am when we were there. There seemed to be only one server.

I indulged with the friend chicken eggs benedict that was pretty superb. The staff was friendly and the service was good. My partner is a SB local and this was his top choice to eat near state street!

Delicious comfort food, I got the huevos ranchero it had a twist chorizo, rice & beans in a huge layer like a volcano on fried corn tortillas. Hubby enjoyed his bacon & eggs.

Not very Cajun imo. Food was decent. Prices were decent. Service was excellent. Worth a check in but you won't write home about it.

Servers were very friendly, and the outdoor seating was very nice. Fried chicken from the chicken and waffles was great, but the waffles were a bit floppy. Beignets were also great but the chocolate sauce was a bit lackluster. Overall still quite happy with the food though!

Fast and friendly service, generous portions, good flavor. Menu is quite extensive. I’m looking forward to trying the jambalaya next time. If it’s as delicious as it sounds, I’ll definitely bump this up to 5 stars. 4 stars just because I found both the biscuit and cornbread and the eggs to be on the drier side. Also want to try the beignets next time! Bonus points for serving Dune coffee, another SB favorite

The jambalaya was either a bit too salty or had too heavy of a bitter aftertaste (probably a result of the seafood taste). The fish and shrimp in the jambalaya were well cooked though, and the beignets were great.

I stayed at the Kimpton hotel across the street and decided to check out the Cajun kitchen. Service was absolutely horrible. I showed up to a pick up order and no one bothered to help me with my order or ask me what I needed. Took a cook from the back to come to the front to ask me if I needed service to pick up my to go order that was already prepped and waiting. Would not go back for the bad service
