Sushi Tyme Santa Barbara Reviews
Still thinking about this incredible California pasta from our Santa Barbara stop 🤍 Fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced — every bite tasted like sunshine, ocean breeze, and pure comfort all in one. The sauce was light but full of flavor, the ingredients tasted unbelievably fresh, and the portion was just right. One of those meals you wish you could relive again and again. Definitely a must-try if you’re ever in town
The pasta is the best downtown! They have an amazing selection to choose from.

When it comes to experiencing your pasta needs in downtown Santa Barbara, California pasta is the perfect place to choose! I love all their sandwiches and pastas. Today I had their clam chowder where it was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it. You cannot go wrong when going to California plaza! Also they have a great staff cooked front house there's just a wonderful team I'm so happy that they're in business to serve us delicious food!
Santa Barbara is a city renowned for its culinary diversity—home to Michelin-starred restaurants, charming historic eateries, and convenient casual spots. Exploring its food scene is always a delightful adventure. Yet sometimes, you simply want a satisfying meal with friends or family without the formality or fuss. California Pasta and Sub is precisely the kind of place that fits the bill. One of the advantages is the counter-order setup, which makes dining here relaxed and allows you to enjoy a great meal without feeling pressured about tipping. And despite its casual approach, the quality of the food pleasantly surprises. The Totelli Bruschetta stood out with its rich garlic-infused cream that elevated the flavor beautifully. The homemade lasagna impressed with deep, comforting flavors from the house-made sauce, showcasing real care in preparation. The perfectly cooked salmon salad paired with its dressing created a fresh and harmonious bite, while the Alfredo Chicken Pasta delivered a luxurious creaminess without feeling overly heavy. Even the Pesto Chicken Sandwich was a winner—fresh vegetables complemented by a delicately flavored Pesto sauce made it both light and delicious. For those moments when you want a simple, satisfying meal without compromise, California Pasta comes highly recommended. It’s casual, approachable, yet consistently delivers flavor and quality—a hidden gem for everyday indulgence in Santa Barbara.
California Pasta is our regular go to for office lunches during the week simply because there's not one thing on the menu that isn't absolutely delicious! The portions are also super generous, so everyone has leftovers for dinner which is a nice bonus too! We love the food, and the service is always prompt and friendly! If you're downtown, it is the best place for tasty pastas and sandwiches! Highly recommend!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at California Pasta in Santa Barbara, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! If you’re looking for a unique twist on traditional pasta, you absolutely must try their Thai-style pasta! The blend of flavors was simply exquisite—the perfect balance of fragrant spices, fresh vegetables, and perfectly cooked pasta. I highly recommend California Pasta for anyone craving a simple and flavorful dish in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this gem is worth a stop. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!
In the middle of Santa Barbara , the small place garb my attention. I went inside to order a salad . I spoke to front desk guy about how I like pasta but I always regret it when I order any kind of pasta . He introduced a seafood pasta that comes with pesto sauce. I loved it ! My food was ready so fast . Also , compare to other Italian restaurants price was cheaper and quality and quantity was great .
Great spot in the middle of the aisle.. plenty of tables to sit on .. the service was great the food came Out pretty quick and the pricing was not that bad !! We ordered the vegetarian zucchini avocado pasta and the Caesar salad 🥗 .. everything was delicious . The portions were great definitely can split this with someone and still feel full ! . Definitely recommend this spot !
Was torn between 2 options and got the staff to vote. Went with the tequila chicken pasta. It was delicious. The cream sauce wasn't heavy, good portion, flavorful and a little heat. Will be coming back to try the california cheesteak sandwhich.
Best value for your dollar. The food was delicious and plentiful. Limited seating as the place is small, but staff was accommodating and attentive. No restrooms. Nearest restroom is above the Panda Express two minutes walk away behind the building by the parking structure. Great shopping area. Mahalo!
