Edomasa Santa Barbara Reviews
I have been enjoying Edomasa for over 30 years. It never disappoints! The Bento box is a great bargain, and buffalo volcano roll is a fave!
11/10!! oysters were so good, and salmon fest was so perfect ! also got the firecracker roll 🔥🔥🔥
The most incredible and cozy place to have late night dinner I’ve ever had. My hubby and I are from OC and we found Edomasa near our hotel located in Goleta. We spent 2 nights and 3 days and had our dinner here 2 days in a row. Super kind owners and authentic japanese cuisine. I bet you will never find this kind of authentic restaurant. We left with full stomach and such a warm feeling of the owners kindness. I think this place is family owned and everybody works so so hard to keep this quality. I wish Edomasa is in Orange County as well and we will definitely visit Edomasa Sushi Bar in the near future. It was such a good vacation during our stay in Goleta.
One of my most cherished restaurant experiences! The sushi here is to die for. Everything is absolutely divine - the craftsmanship from the sushi chefs, the quality of the fish that’s bursting with fresh flavors, the careful and caring attention of the service workers here… everything was just so wonderful! The sushi here was unbelievable. The rice to fish ratios seemed just perfect to me and the sheer variety was dazzling. The cherry on top? The owner’s very own Sake brand, made in his hometown in Japan. Amazing! One of the best restaurants around - don’t miss out on this lovely dining experience!
Good quality sushi and curry. The curry it’s a little spicy, which I find delicious and the flavors are well balanced. Nice portion of curry for a decent price. 10/10. I value a lot that closes a little late than a regular restaurant
Food and service overalls are great as usual except for a few things fall out of the original this time: Our fried Calamari was overdone this time. We always loved their red bean ice cream, but this time we were not so much into this heavy breaded tempura red bean ice cream that we tried out. Miso scallops appetizer: only if you like sweet n creamy Calamari tentacles: we usually loved it but it overdone this time. Anton special beef with potato salad appetizer: average good. Shrimp n octopus sunomo salad: refreshing Clam Miso soup: not much to remember for because I kept chewing up with sand. Eel cucumber rolls: my favorite simple rolls We ordered chicken Karraage too, but I am glad that it was forgotten since we were already full.
Excellent sushi place in Santa Barbara. Staff are really welcoming and make you feel like you are at home. Will definitely come here again when in the area
Always great food. Deluxe sushi is the perfect amount of food and a great variety.
Much bigger portions than I anticipated for the price! And that included miso, sunamono, and mochi ice cream! Service was good, tons of fish options that I had never seen before (but then again, I live pretty far inland, so maybe not so novel for a shore dweller). There are plenty of rolls to satisfy, but I was thrilled with the sashimi available. My kid loved it too!
Spicy tuna crispy rice outstanding! Open late 1030pm. Wonderful staff. Best prices for sushi

Favorite locals sushi spot in sb. Prices are good, service is outstanding.
The quality of the sushi and sashimi were excellent. The order was ready on time.
I had the sweetest server who made me feel at home. The sushi was also amazing, super fresh, and generous portions for the price. I would come back here next time I'm in town.
Edomasa is so much more than a great sushi restaurant. It's a family owned restaurant that truly cares about their customers and their dining experience. The quality of the food is amazing, plus it's always nice to go to a restaurant that is genuinely friendly.
Edomasa is always excellent. We moved away from Santa Barbara but every time we are in town we have to get Edomasa. The staff is always so nice.
Amazing food and service at affordable prices! One of SB’s hidden gems. We love Anton’s special, halibut tempura, edamame, and pork cutlet.

My favorite sushi in sb! Staff are wonderful and always tease my friends and I. Reasonable prices (it’s sushi in Santa Barbara, no it’s not cheap) and a big menu with anything you could want. Good date spot or big dinner with friends. Dinner special for $24 is a lot of food and all delicious.
Good sushi for the price. We got a combo meal and it came with soup, salad, and mochi at the end of the meal. Service was good and adjusted to take out containers while eating in considering the pandemic. I had no problem with it and it made clean up easier on the staff.

The sushi is actually not terrible. What it lacks is ambiance and service. Kind of a weird vibe but the sushi is decent so if you are up this way and need sushi it’s worth a stop.
I got the lobster roll and the Avocado special deluxe. After the waitress handed me the happy hour menu I decided to order 2 more items from that menu. They brought me my first 2 rolls and the rice was mushy kind of like eating dough . To the point that I was chasing every bite with water. Then I got the bay special and fried oysters. The bay is a mixture of seafood fish shrimp scallops octopus row and onions. Super salty and of course nothing with that much seafood should be 7.50 i really tried to eat it but I couldn't the oysters where heavily breaded I tried 2 left 8 behind with the excuse of only having a microwave at the hotel . Ps the server was nice and brought out food promptly. That why they get 3 stars instead of 2 .

Worst food ever. We ordered many times for this place and never had. Problem like this. We went back asked for a refund, it seemed like they did and a few days later the refund didn’t go though. The manger said the beef was cooked medium this isn’t medium. It’s literally still alive. Don’t recommend
