Dierk's Midtown Cafe Santa Rosa Reviews
Top notch spot in 4th street! Amazing food, great service and all the trimmings are hat come with it! Eggs Benedict was great, as was the Bloody Mary! The beignets were a little over done but still tasted great. Highly recommend!!!
I travel for work. I have eaten all over the US. This place has the best corned beef and hash I have had. The staff is awesome! Bottomless mimosas are the best bet but I wish there were options for them. But nothing wrong with them. I would definitely recommend this place. Small and quaint but awesome.
Wow...J&M's Midtown Café is literally right around the corner from Pinkus McGee's house, and he tells me he eats there 4 times a week! So...It's not only going to have great food, but it'll be reasonably priced too! I was planning a visit and called Pinkus and asked if he needed anything, and he gave me a list of breakfast items to pickup from J&M's they have great to-go food..5 stars every time! ☆☆☆☆☆
Incredibly good food! My first time here visiting from out of town. Fortunately we got there early enough on Sunday morning we didn't have to wait.. They know how to cook their hash browns perfectly and their pancakes are delicious. Definitely try it at least once!
Best meal we’ve had in California. Food and service that goes beyond expectations in a humble diner deserving of 5 stars. We met both owners, a lovely husband & wife team who treat you better than family & serve home cooked style food which never misses the mark. Pleasantly surprised by Mon/Tue all-day happy hour prices on our Bloody Mary & michelada. House made pickled vegetables as garnish. Tasty drip coffee. Both the hash browns & home fries were crispy on all sides. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked & lovely yolk colors. Corned beef hash had ample beef & cheese. Buttery English muffins were perfectly crispy. Heirloom tomatoes hit the spot. Hollandaise sauce was fresh, bright, creamy & lightly citrusy, a work of art. I appreciate the 3% auto tip for the cooks.
Super mellow, family-owned restaurant. really good coffee it's strong the way I like it. I live in New York City where food is a bit too overrated, so I really appreciate it when I can walk into a restaurant and have a nice American breakfast. Beacon is a vice of mine and I only have it once every 2 months... The beacon here is perfect!
Great breakfast and lunch spot! Lots of options to suit most pallets and new owners who are very kind and welcoming. The food is delicious with good ingredients and healthy portions. My favorite is the seasonal veggie hash, but we also got the chicken fried steak, omlette and country Benedict and can highly recommend all. This is one of my go to spots!
The good -The food. We got breakfast. Enjoyed every bite. My only complaint, the fried chicken Benedict doesn’t come with a carb (muffin or biscuit) but that isn’t exactly clear in the menu. Small thing as the bacon was cooked to perfection. The better -Service is wonderful. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and Knowledgeable of the menu even though it was a holiday (New Year’s Day) I also REALLY appreciate that they offered Hoppin’ John. While my friend and I didn’t order any, to see a dish I grew up having on New Year’s Day on the menu meant a lot—especially given how far from home I was.
I’ve been dying to check out this cafe and totally glad I did! The food, drinks, and experience exceeded expectations. I haven’t reviewed a place this highly in a while! I’ll be back to try their Hush Puppies again! They were delicious!!!!!
Great wait staff and amazing food for all. They even have a cute Lil mini bar and bottomless mamosas
This was our first visit to J&M's. We were looking for a quick breakfast. So, we did a Google search. Several good local options. But, J&M's stood out. We were pleasantly surprised. It is a small, cozy sit-down café. If you're looking for lattes, you won't find lattes here. Still, I can assure you the drip coffee is very good. And, the menu has something surely to please. Service was quick and quality high. Each plate had plenty and was reasonably priced. We were more than satisfied. J&M's is a fantastic café.
Joel and Marla are the best. The menu is creative and it is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch. They also show local artists work there and have monthly receptions which is really awesome! I always support local businesses that exhibit original artwork by area artists.

I tried the corned beef hash for my first visit here and it was wonderful. Big tasty pieces of corned beef on a bed of nicely cooked potatoes covered with a couple of over easy eggs! I will return again and I suggest you do the same!
Our breakfast was amazing!!!! Smoked Salmon Benedict and the Chicken Fried Steak were on point!!! Thank you
Truly my favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant in Santa Rosa. The owners are a lovely couple that create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The Chef ( the husband) is Amazingly inventive. Besides the regular menu he creates daily specials that deliver top shelf food!
I walked into this place. Never heard of it. Never seen it. I just needed some place to eat. The service was excellent, and the food was recommended by people at the table next to me. I was trying to make a choice between chicken fried steak and a chicken benedict. I was so pleased with my chicken fried steak. I asked for grilled mushrooms and I was told that they had special mushrooms on this day. Turns out they had porcinis. My chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked, my eggs were perfectly over medium, and those mushrooms to die for sauteed and garlic and butter. When the server returned to clear my plate, she informed me that one of her regular customers had taken care of my meal. I was in tears, there are good people in this world. I asked her to kindly tell them the next time she saw them that I truly appreciated it and thank you very much. I will return and I have blessed your praises and will continue to do so.
Best breakfast I've had in literally years. Hash-browns were perfectly cooked - fully cooked yet soft inside and crisp on the surface. Fresh made drop biscuits were excellent. Eggs were cooked perfectly to order. This is the kind of place at which I could become a regular.
So if you're looking for a breakfast spot that isn't the same menu as most diners, this is the spot. There's so much effort and thought out into the dishes and the execution is too notch. I love the owners but damn, I LOVE their food. Check them out.
Everything there is delicious! The staff is very friendly too. This place is great for families, date or even by yourself. It is a small location, with inside and outside seating.
Met a good friend here for lunch last week. The food was great, service really friendly. What a nice surprise! For casual breakfast or lunch, and affordable, check this one out.

Wow, I'm taking the time to express my appreciation for this restaurant. It truly offers a wonderful dining experience, with welcoming and attentive staff, an extremely clean environment, and a very positive atmosphere. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of options, and the prices are great. 10+ stars!
Great food, an amazingly fair price. Not pictured, but the chicken fried steak is one of the best in town. My only small criticism is the hash browns weren't as crispy as they could be. But I prefer country potatoes anyway.
Def didn't know about the yellow jackets. Service was good. The food was decent. But for someone highly allergic, I would have liked to warned. (They had some type of machines to combat the 🐝) So, except for that sudden scare, it was decent.
