Just had lunch at the King and it was outstanding! Pulled pork with Carolina sauce, burnt ends, collard greens and yams. The barbecue was on point, the sauce was not too tangy or sweet and the burnt ends were done to perfection. Best collard greens I’ve ever had and the yams were yummy. Tommy’s redesign of the inside is a must see. The bar and seating area are nicely laid out and really enhance the dine in experience. The food was so good, we are ordering some for our Christmas Day dinner. The prices are incredible and value for your money can’t be beat! I highly recommend you stop in and check it out. Eat in or take out you won’tbe disappointed.

Great Ribs!!! Worth it! Smokey, tender, fall off the bone, great char, awesome flavor! Staff was helpful and friendly. I've tried several other local barbecue places, and wasn't very impressed. Memphis King BBQ is a must try! I can't wait to try the rest of the items on the menu!

Honestly the BEST bbq i ever had! Under new mgmt w/nice tables & PENDING liquor lic - chk for expected date. Sooo damn good I actually started eating the bone w/o realizing it! Their sides are also SCRUMPTIOUS. Highly recommended.

Easily one of the best BBQ in the area. All their sauces are insanely good. I got the sauce sampler and tried 6 of them. Very flavorful, sticky, and sweet. I really liked the White and Queen sauces. Their brisket was tender, juicey, and smokey. Corn bread was a little too sweet, bordering on cake, but still delicious. The restaurant itself is a little small and doesn't have a lot of seating but it's clean and has a good vibe. The food was pretty pricey but not outside what you'd spend at other BBQ places and u get a lot. If you're in the Schenectady area this place is worth visiting. If you're not, it's still worth the trip.

This place is legit! We were in town for a basketball tournament and ended up choosing to come here from “food near me” options. Zero regrets, food was delicious! It took us less than 3 min to finish our food 🤤 Easy to read menu, friendly staff and you we got to try all the sauces. Definitely recommend and we’ll be back if visiting this town again.

Heard about this place from a friend who visited and loved it. I've traveled quite a bit tracking down small BBQ spots. This is probably one of the best in the Capital District. Ribs were excellent. Mac and Cheese was very good. Fried chicken was also good - although I wish it was not boneless - more fun to eat with bones :) One suggestion - order ahead otherwise you will wait.

I haven’t been here in so longggg sooo happy I stopped in..Memphis King Food delivered an unforgettable dining experience! From the first bite, I was hooked. The food was incredibly delicious, and I savored every moment. But let's talk about the homemade peach cobbler—it was an absolute game-changer. The perfect balance of sweetness and warmth made it impossible to resist. Already planning my return trip, especially once payday rolls around$$. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering flavors!

I read about it a few years ago and have wanted to go and wham! So darn good and tasty! Can’t wait to go back. We spent about 60 dollars and took home all little bit of brisket and five wings. You won’t find anything around like this as it’s one of a kind. Order beforehand and your good. While we were there, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, they ran out of brisket, ribs, burnt ends, smoked wings and jalapeño cornbread. While we were there it was customer after customer. I am an absolute US connoisseur of BBQ and this place is smoking butt good! Oh, tell them some Guy sent you.

First timer for an early lunch. Tried the Pulled Pork sandwhich with a side of the baked beans. Solid four star pork. Lots of pork between the bun. House sauce was tasty. A friend told me the baked beans were the best he'd ever tasted. I didn't care for them and didn't finish the side dish. Still, I can see how others would love them. The following week I came back for lunch to try the Brisket with a side of the baked Mac & Cheese. Next time I'll go with the "lean" brisket. The brisket was a solid four stars as was the Mac & Cheese. GREAT sauces with the brisket. More food then an average guy can handle at lunch. My fat co-worker finished my lunch. Weird? Maybe a little but I hated to waste the food. $20 for the lunch sans drink. Worth it for the flavor, quality and portion. Again, the sauces were STELLAR. The place gets a rare five star because it is family owned and operated and they clearly work hard. Give it a try if you dig BBQ.

Food is always good but some things were slightly disappointing. I wanted salmon tacos but they are no longer on the menu due to lack of demand which I can understand. So I ordered two smoked samplers, sauce on the side. Sauce came on them and none of them had coleslaw that was supposed to be on there and I really didn’t want to drive back for it…. Bummer :( Then I was quoted 10 mins wait time and it took 20+, I don’t mind waiting for good food, but my coleslaw man :/

Add me to the list of fans of this BBQ joint! The ribs are amazing. Fall right off the bone. Excellent flavor and texture. The mac and cheese was delicious. We tried the potato salad and it was also good. The pulled pork was extremely easy to eat or put on a roll. The pulled pork did seem fatty compared to others i have tried. They make a ton of different sauces and I intend to try them all. The white BBQ sauce was different and very good on the ribs. The sweet sauce was like eating honey. I was a mess when I was done and that usually means the BBQ was really good.

Food is great. People are great but can you please update your Google hours. I have tried to come to the restaurant 5 times now and you guys have been closed every time. I have driven 30 min out of the way to come each time. The first time was my fault because it was a Sunday and I didn’t look at the Google hours. The other 4 times I have checked the Google hours. Today I decided to call before I drove down and yes your message says you’re on vacation but your Google hours say you’re open. It’s been about 5 months now that I have been trying to come and every time I have been let down.

Tried the burnt ends ribs and brisket. Ribs and burnt ends were covered in sauce. Didn’t like them. Brisket was very good. I know Memphis bbq has sauce in their recipe but the ribs would have been better not drenched in mustard….. I asked for their sweet sauce it may have helped but they didn’t give it to me luckily I had Stubbs at home. In comparison to their sauce it’s at least 10 times better
