Wanted a quick meal and I chose the right spot. Empanadas were very flavorful and the salmon was very fresh and tasty.

Their food tastes delicious! They're open 24/7 and offer cantina for $28/week. 5, 4 or 3 days (one protein and two sides).

Delicious food, freshly cooked, varied menu at reasonable prices. Cafe con leche was just perfect. Place is clean, ample, with good atmosphere and parking available. Yeni and Mari were very pleasant and attentive. Though we're not from the area, definitely we'll be back.

Ive been eating from here for 10 years and they don't disappoint. The best pan con bistec in Hialeah. The sandwiches are amazing, the cafe con leche is great and the actual food is good. The girls are always friendly.

I got curious about this place and decided to go with my family. The food was so delicious, the waitress was very sweet. The trigo milkshake was bommmmbbbbbaaaaa!!! The prices are fair for the amount of food and let me mention again how delicious the food tasted. We are so happy to have given this place a try!

Friendly staff and good prices. The food taste is average but the service was good. Our waitress made us feel welcome. I think they changed the chef because the food has tasted better before. When it comes to deserts, the variety is poor and at least the rice pudding was terrible. It tasted weird and it was hard as a rock.

Small and clean place. I went for lunch with my wife after a recommendation from a family member. The food was good, but too greasy for our palate. The prices were reasonable. The lady who attended us was very nice and we felt like at home. For people who love fried stuff and not worry about a balanced healthy food or a low-moderate calories menu, this is the place to go for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.

I’ve had the pan con bistec here before and it was great! I recently ordered chicken soup and it was mushy. So my rate is for the soup.

Do not dine-in here, ever. The only good thing here was the strawberry “milkshake” which was really just a smoothie… water and fruit lol. I had a chicken sandwhich which wasn’t inedible, but not good. The lettuce and tomatoes were horrible, the most old tasting vegetables I’ve ever had. My partner ordered grilled fish and it was absolutely AWFUL. Unseasoned and undercooked. My mother in law didn’t even get to eat because we asked for the progress on her meal and they hadn’t even started. I’m not a karen and I’m not hard to please… I’m sure the 2-3 items that everyone orders here in the morning are decent, but I cannot recommend this place as a sit-down. The cherry on top was no toilet paper in the bathroom.

I ordered a cortadito, and I’ve had some great cortaditos throughout MDC. They even have a “ventanita”, which is usually a sign of a good Cuban coffee shop. They made the cortadito with old espresso (probably leftover from a colada they made 5 minutes before) and the milk was not frothed (no Espuma). Neither the espresso machine nor the milk frother was used - just served me old leftover coffee and milk. Que pena para ellos. Too much sugar too, probably because the espresso from the colada already had a lot of sugar and then they added even more for my cortadito. I even said “not too much sugar”. I make much better cortaditos at home. Big disappointment. I may not be Cuban, but I know a good cortadito. Waitress didn’t seem overly thrilled to be working there either. Also, this is the third time in a year that I have gone to Mi Abuelita’s Kitchen and the previous two times were also mediocre. Did not leave reviews previously because maybe it was a one-off bad day, but that’s three consecutive bad experiences. Keepin’ it real, no kickbacks.

Horrible service from start to finish. We waited 5 minutes just to receive menus and over 40 minutes overall. The blonde waitress was extremely rude, took her time with everything, and was not attentive at all. There was a complete lack of customer service, which made the experience very frustrating.

I ordered the pork chunk plate, she said was 2 additional sides with it. I ask for a large bean so she said this was extra due to the size. So I paid for the beans, when I open my bag it was literally 6 chunks (small) of meat and 5 plantains. So what happened to the 2nd side? Beans were paid separately…. Wasn’t happy at all.

Went here with my family and would not come again. Food took an hour and a half to arrive. We ordered a chicken sandwich, chicken cordon bleu, strawberry and banana milkshakes, and grilled fish. The milkshakes we ordered obviously had no milk and were just the fruit blended in water, which left a gross banana scum in my shake. The sandwich was ok but the ingredients tasted old. The fish was hilariously undercooked, clear, and unseasoned. The rice I had on the side was like eating a bowl of pebbles. We waited another 15 minutes for the cordon bleu but when we asked about the progress they hadn't even started on it so we payed and left without it. Would not reccomend.
