We went to Taaj Chaat House on a weekday, and it was a great experience. The place is really spacious, and they even have a small party/private room. I think it's one of the best North Indian spots I've tried around here. Since the restaurant is pretty new, we didn't have any expectations, but it totally exceeded them. We ordered the Veg Kathi Roll, Paneer Kathi Roll, Paav Bhaaji, Cheese Pizza from the kids' menu, and Chana Puri. Everything tasted amazing. We'll definitely go back. This place is worth a try!

Tucked away in East Simi Valley, Taj Chaat House is a gem for quick Indian culinary excursions. It's not your usual Punjabi dhaba; imagine instead a delightful detour through an Indian food court, light and easy on the palate. The offerings here are pleasantly good, especially notable for their lightness and lack of greasiness, making each dish a guilt-free indulgence. And oh, the Ras Malai! It's a standout, capturing the essence of sweetness and softness in every bite – a creamy delight that promises a perfect end to your meal. With decent prices, spotless surroundings, and friendly service, plus hassle-free parking right next door, this place is a no-brainer for those seeking flavor without the fuss. The Ras Malai alone is worth the trip, making Taj Chaat House a must-visit for a quick, satisfying taste of India. I’m already planning my next visit for more of those quick, delicious bites – and, of course, another serving of their pretty good Ras Malai.

We had a great meal. Food was authentic and service was friendly. Ordered a couple curry dishes, rice, and naan. We also ordered spinach chaat on recommendation and it was our first time having it and we enjoyed it a lot. Portions were big, we came home with lots of leftovers. We actually prefer self service water and especially glad to see that it was filtered water.

I discovered this establishment from being able to smell the wonderful aroma of exotic spices across the street. Upon dining in, the service was most excellent and the food superb. The aloo tiki was perfect in both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, as was the flavourful samosa. Malai kofta with rice was the entree, and it was rich in flavour and stimulating the taste senses in a pleasurable way. A clean atmosphere with a bright and informative monitor displayed the menu, while another screen provided entertaining Bollywood music. The whole dining experience was fantastic and I thank both the owner and the three chefs present for their excellent service. As this establishment is still very new to the community, I wish them the best of success and prosperity in the business. They are also able to provide good catering services for all such needs. Many thanks once again and best wishes.

I’ll start this off by saying I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food. Don’t get me wrong, there nothing wrong with the restaurants, far from it actually. It’s just that I’ve been around long enough to know the restaurant business is tough here in Simi. After my dining experience, I hope Taj Chaat House is here to stay for a (very) long time. The food: Veggie Kathi Roll Paneer Tikka Masala Channa Bhatura Garlic Naan Beverage: Mango Lassi Thumbs Up For 3 people, this was an absolute feast! Everything had an excellent flavor and the spice level was perfect (I have to often say Indian Spicy when I order takeout because it’s rather weak). If I was coming for a quick lunch, I’d get the Kathi Roll in a heartbeat- light, savory, guilt-free. The only points the whole meal losses is the naan which I don’t believe is made in a traditional tandoor. At $2.99, this is completely fine. All in all, this was an incredible value and wonderful meal. Be sure to stop by Taj Chaat House the next time you’re wondering, “what should we eat for dinner?”

I ordered take out for the first time here. I ordered chicken makhani (butter chicken) and it was so delicious. I’ve tried many places trying to find the best butter chicken and THIS place is it!!!! The flavoring exceeds all other places. I highly recommend!! And I will be ordering again!

This was the first day i went to order something there. And i ordered the vegetable korma. It was delicious. I was always hesitant to find any indian restaurant but i definitely recommend this one. The attendant was knowledgeable and good in advising me in the best choice of meal health versus unhealthy. Of course i picked the unhealthy one and i am happy about it. 😆

We went after a movie. It was closing time but the owners made room for us. Fresh hot food was served. It was nice. They have a very wide choice of food. Sadly my second visit was on Monday. They were closed. They are new but I am sure they will be one of the top choices for Indian food in Simi valley as they have the desire to do what it takes.

Taj Chaat House offers a delightful dining experience that caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The menu features a nice selection of dishes, showcasing the rich flavors of Indian cuisine without overwhelming the palate with excessive spice. Each dish is crafted with good quality ingredients, which truly enhances the overall taste and reminds you of comforting home-cooked meals. What stood out during my visit was the pleasant and courteous demeanor of the staff members. They were attentive and eager to help, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a welcoming environment for guests. Overall, Taj Chaat House is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Indian flavors, whether you're a meat enthusiast or prefer vegetarian options. The thoughtful balance of spices and the warm hospitality make it a place worth returning to. Highly recommended!

We ordered Samosas, samosa chaat, aloo tikki, & chicken khati roll. Samosa chat was really good and tasted fresh. Aloo tiki was good but seemed pretty expensive for two tiny aloo tikki. Chicken khati roll wasn’t very good. Naan wasn’t thick enough and there wasn’t much flavor in the chicken kabab. Chicken roll got so soggy that we couldn’t even eat the naan 🙁

The restaurant was better than I expected when I walked in. The food was decent. The sitting area was large. We had the two entree lunch deal. The food is pre-prepared kind of like you would see at a buffet restaurant and you get to pick from several dishes. It’s not all you can eat, so choose wisely. They also give you rice and one naan bread. We got soda, but they don’t have a self serve fountain and the downside is they limit you to only one refill. With the spicy food, I could have used more than one.

The food was good but too spicy and overpriced for the type of restaurant it is. I expected a sit down, order from a menu, from the table with a waiter/waitress. It is not that. You order fast food style at the counter and then sit at a table with a number, and they bring the food to you when it is ready. I can not eat spicy due to digestion issues. I ordered the mild, and even the mild was too spicy. The level of spiciness was medium heat level at other Indian restaurants. It was tasty and good, but it being too spicy made me very sick later. I will not eat there again because I can't, it's too spicy.

I ordered the Paneer Kathi Roll and Malai Kofta and was extremely disappointed. The Kathi Roll was nowhere near authentic; it was filled with ketchup and a few random vegetables, tasting more like a cheap snack than a proper roll. The Malai Kofta, Koft being too soft, came with an unpleasantly tangy gravy that completely overpowered the dish. Prices were unreasonably high compared to similar restaurants, and the service was painfully slow, making the whole experience frustrating. Overall, this was one of the most unsatisfying meals I’ve had in a long time.
