Que Rico Staten Island Reviews
As authentic PR food as it gets ! The owner I believe his name was Anthony was gracious and kind. My fiancé Arlene who’s 100% Puerto Rican and I came here for lunch yesterday. We both ordered the Pernil, she had the platter and I had the sandwich. Best Pernil I’ve ever had, they marinate it for 3 days and boy you can taste it. We will be back ! All the best. Stephen DiBari & Arlene Tirado
My husband and I came here first time today and it won’t be our last! Authentic PR food! The Mofongo with Shrimp in sauce was amazing! 🤩 Very cool, casual place with music from the island! 🏝️
WOWWWW LOL MAD GOOD! 😊 No but seriously, this is definitely authentic Puerto Rican food. Everything was delicious literally. I am so happy to see that Staten Island is finally getting diverse and good places to eat. I will post pictures and videos so you can see how good this food is. Highly recommend.
We were in the area for a layover flight and I was dying for some good Puerto Rican food. Anthony and his wife’s food taste like my childhood. It surpassed my expectations and was absolutely delicious. Such sweet people really pouring their heart and soul into the food and you taste it. It was sooo tasty. We cant wait to come back! The chuleta and the flan I could eat over and over and over. Soooo good!!!
Really good Puerto Rican food. Nice location, very clean, easy to get to. Take out options as well as on-line delivery. I highly suggest it. Get the Alcapurrias, they are sooooo good.
The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! It was worth paying the toll cause we came from NJ. Not one single complaint. From the moment we walked In to the time we left, we were so happy to be there! The gentleman that served us was very friendly and attentive. The best pernil I have ever had In my life (sorry Mami lol ) not everybody can make the pernil that delicious. The rice, chicharon, alcapulria, tostones y maduros was Unbelievable! We will be back for sure :)
This is a new gem on Staten Island! The owners are such nice people, the food is delicious, and those ices (especially the boozy ones), yummy!!!! The vibe takes me back to PR! A must go to!!!
Great place and food. Delicious and very tasty. A must try.
Everything is top notch in this business! Service, the vibe and the food was phenomenal. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes or wants to try Spanish food!
Best home cooked authentic Puerto Rico food you can get . Literally just like mom made. Service is impeccable and delivery set up is fast and easy. Send food as birthday gift and had catering done. Couldn't recommend more.
Their empanadas are to die for. They’re so good and also huge! I got the pernil and beef empanadas. Will definitely return again

Boriken Restaurant serves real Puerto Rican food, just like abuela would make it back home for you. The bistec encebollado was tender and bursting with sazón, paired perfectly with arroz con gandules that tasted straight off the island—savory, and full of flavor. And the grilled octopus? Charred to perfection, tender inside, and seasoned with that bold Boricua touch. The consistent showing of a video of Puerto Rico naturalesa really adds to the experience! If you’re craving authentic Puerto Rican cuisine made with love and tradition and great vibes and service this is the spot!
All I can say is They’re GOOD!!! This is now my fav spot, The workers are awesome. The Food is GREAT!!! I’m Dominican & I love this spot more then the DR spots around here… Keep it going guys! Def recommend…
We catered a huge order from Que Rico for our engagement party this past weekend and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Our guests were raving about the food all night long and still are. Anthony, the owner, was very helpful over the phone and pickup went smooth. I'm just mad that all of the empanadas disappeared before I was able to get my hands on one!!! Thank you so much for the excellent food and service. You made our day that much more special! <3 And just FYI I had never eaten here before but trusted the reviews and hype... so happy I did!!!

Very clean and welcoming upon entering. A real Puerto Rican vibe with artwork, island colors and music. Everything is made to order so expect to wait at least 5 minutes or more for empanadas and such. We chose to eat in because we got mofongo and had to wait 20 minutes or so and wanted to eat it hot. We tried the beef and cheese empanadas which were fresh, crispy but the beef needed some seasoning. It tasted like ground beef with salt and pepper. We got the mofongo con chicarron and it was beautifully presented. I wish I could love it but it was bland. It was just smashed tostones with no love, no garlic mashed in, no salt and no chicharron mixed in. Granted everyone and every place has there own way of doing it but this just had some onions and peppers diced on the top and fried chicharron on the side which was definitely not seasoned before it was fried because it tasted like straight pork. It was dry and needed some liquid, sauce, oil…. Something! The best part of the entire meal was the flan hands down. Creamy, smooth, just the right sweetness and perfectly set. The owner was nice but a bit preoccupied considering we were the only two People in there. I don’t like to hate on new businesses because it’s not easy. Hopefully the owners take criticism and try to make adjustments because at the end of the day this is a cool spot that just needs some small Improvements. Definitely will be trying them out again to make a solid review.

How do they not have piña colada or Mojito, come on! The food was salty. I was looking forward to my favorite which is the Red snapper, mines was soggy, it should had been crispy. The Sprite and Coca-Cola taste like seltzer water. They told us they didn’t have soda in cans. Everyone in my table wasn’t too happy, their were 8 of us.
Just went yesterday for a quick bite. We got the fried pork chunks, fried chicken chunks and tostones. The meats were well seasoned but a bit dry. The tostones were flattened so much that it was like eating plantain chips, which some people may like. The place is clean and small, good for take out. The counter person is very friendly and the food was made to order in less than 10 minutes. Good start to a new business.

Not really sure how this place has this many good reviews, the food wasn’t that great. Only giving it 2 stars because empanadas were decent and the service was nice. I genuinely feel like they need to put more care into the quality of their food. This applies to the type of meat they use, the rice, and taste. The price doesn’t match what the food is worth.
So i've actually been here two times with my wife and family. Both times we ordered white rice, pernil and tostones. Let me start by saying that this is not a puerto rican spot in its entirety. Just cause you throw a few decorations from my island does not mean the food is from there too. Is it a good spot to grab a quick bite when you don't feel like cooking? Yes! But IF I WANT REAL PUERTO RICAN FOOD... This place would rank last on my list.

I’m not one to normally write reviews but as a Puerto Rican whom cooks authentic Puerto Rican food, I was so disappointed. I was too tired to cook and wanted a real meal (not fast food) and stumbled upon this restaurant on google. I paid $70 on 3 meals that were absolutely HORRIBLE. No flavor whatsoever. If I can give it zero stars I really would. The perfect way to describe the food is Gentrified.
