Agave Stephenville Reviews
Amazing food, taste great! Great service, bring you anything you need. Love that they are always welcoming and friendly. Best of all, priced right!!!
My wife ate there once and stated the prices were too high. We tried it again. Prices were reasonable and we got enough food for another meal in leftovers. Fajitas were tasty but a cheaper cut of meat. Chicken and shrimp were awesome. Overall a good meal. Salsa was excellent as was the sweet tea. Two requirements slot a Mexican restaurant in Texas.
Our first visit. Been on my list of places to check out since we moved here a year ago. WOW! They nailed it!! Everything was spot on. The service, the food, and the service. It looked crowded but we were shown to a table right away. We ordered drinks (GREAT!) food (also GREAT!) and we had very good service. It was a Thursday for dinner so I don't know if this was typical but if it was, well done!!!
Great food and excellent service. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The only downside was the atmosphere—it was pretty loud, which made conversation a bit difficult. Overall, a very good experience and definitely worth visiting.
we went out to try a new place, it felt comforting and they sited us fast. they did get my order wrong but they apologized and quickly fixed it. Also my friend specifically asked for no picadillo and they still added it to her plate. I got the tacos of carne asada and they were pretty big, nothing bad yet again nothing too special about it. The tacos were kinda cold and the salsa wasn't spicy but still good. I would come back and maybe get something different next time.
The food had good flavor, and the portions were big. Service was good as well, but the drinks we ordered were not. Presentation was deceiving, to say the least. I don't know what was in it, but it tasted like lemon peel and too much of it. It overpowered the sweetness and made it undrinkable.
I want to enjoy this place, but the music is just too loud. Every time I visit, the volume makes it really hard to have a conversation, especially in the dining room. I always have to ask not to be seated under a speaker because otherwise, I can’t even hear myself or the people at my table. The restrooms are even worse my ears are ringing by the time I leave the restaurant. It’s such a shame because everything else about the place is great, but the music really needs to be turned down to make the experience more comfortable.
The food was okay. Presentation is really nice. The charro beans were really good, the crab cakes were okay. The mangonada margarita was not good, we returned it. The carne asada was really tough, the knife they gave me wouldn't even cut it. We were sat in a booth with a speaker right above us and the music was really loud. Overall it was okay. This isn't a place that will be at the top of my list to return to.
This was our first time to eat here. The queso was really delicious with the chips. I got the steak fajitas and they tasted like that cheap plank steak at HEB with no flavor so I told the waiter I didn’t like it and it didn’t taste good and then he was acting really awkward towards me after that for the remainder of the time there. My mom got the enchiladas she liked them and my daughter got chicken fingers, she ate them so I guess they were alright. I definitely would never order the steak fajitas again, the manager never even came by to see what happened but took it off bill.
I was disappointed. First, their restrooms were only down to 2 stalls because 1 stall was clogged up. There was a long line. Our waitress took everyone's drink order, skipped me and took off so fast we couldn't get her attention. We asked for tea with lemon..she forgot the lemon. Then my elder mom asked for coffee. She stated there is no coffee because it's hot outside! So what! Make my mom a cup of coffee! No dice she had to settle for soda. The order came the guy asked, "who has the crab plate?" My sis said, " me" and he handed her a hot plate across the table that was too hot for her hands! That was pretty much the whole evening. Disappointed. Hope it gets better for other customers cause we ain't coming back.
