Garcia's Taqueria Sunnyvale Reviews
Ate outside since the music was super loud inside but the food was freaking awesome. Will suffer the elements outside for the food. Good job thanks
Amazing. These tacos are stuffed up. A normal person needs only two. Get chips while you wait
Pupusas and super burritos are a hit with the family. Tacos are a hit or miss - depends on what type of protein you get. Decent salsa bar.
Amazing homemade tortillas. Best quesabirria tacos! Margaritas are great. Friendly staff. Good music and tvs. Chile Relleno position was large. Many drink options
I love the pozole here. I come here often just for it. Service is great as is the food. The only thing is sometimes the music is blasting and if you have to sit under a speaker it can be a bit too much. But it's worth it for me for a great tasting pozole with a hearty amount of pork in it.
Garcia’s Taqueria was so delicious. I order to-go but my food arrived extremely fresh & had punchy favors. I ordered two beef head tacos which were fantastic, birria en caldo which is just my absolutely favorite. The meat chunks were much larger whereas I’m used to a more shredded style but it was still amazing and I got two super burritos because they had a special of buy one, get one free. Overall, it was a fulfilling meal, fresh, and extremely flavorful. Definitely recommend!
I'm a big fan of 'mexicali' food and typically eat Mexican dishes every single day I'm in CA from the Midwest. Glad I tried Garcia's. I arrived and ordered them via Uber Eats, delivered to my hotel after an evening flight. Two chicken tacos came with a bag of chips and two salsas, plus pickled jalapenos and lemon for flavor. Quite good. I wished the red salsa had a touch of Tabasco, but otherwise, perfect. Garcia's was def a memorable meal for me at a good price. 5 stars.
Garcia's Taqueria took me on a great culinary journey. The amazing burrito, filled with savory goodness, paired perfectly with a refreshing Pacifico beer. The chips were delightful too. The cozy evening ambience and attentive staff added to the experience. Authentic Mexican cuisine in an old-school setting. Highly recommended!
You need to try their pozole! About $14 for a good portion of tender meat, flavorful broth, and LOTS of hominy. They give you a side of tostada chips and chopped raw veggies (onions, cabbage, and radish). The portion is very generous and could easily feed two people. I also really enjoyed the mixed pupusa! Nice crispy texture and flavor. I would definitely order it again. There can be a fairly long line/wait on the weekends. I came on a Saturday at noon and there was a line to the door. Their menudo is only served on weekends, and it seems pretty popular here!
Was pretty decent, the plates are huge and my flautas were good. The music was super loud to the point it was difficult to have conversation with my friend. I would come again if in the area but not my first choice
Dine in taqueria with plenty of your usual suspects. I ordered a Al pastor taco (pictured) and a carne asada quesadilla (not pictured). The Al pastor was more shredded pork versus slices cut from a trompo. Still flavorful. Carne asada quesadilla is what you expect from a carne asada quesadilla. Cheesy and tender/juicy steak. I came in for a quick bite. Ultimately spent $12-13 bucks. This included a coke. Great value for what you’re paying for.
They skimp on sauce but does the fix especially lacking on delivery orders. Misleading menu giving me shredded chicken < diced
Had a discriminatory experience here. My husband and I actually came here for tacos, but because we’re Asian, they assumed we were parking here for Molly Tea next door and yelled at us not to park. Wish we had just left but we were too shocked and continued to patronize them. Not worth it.
Went to the restaurant and gave in person instructions of "what NOT to add" in my meal. I told them to make my order vegan. Instead I return home to all the items I refused to put in my meal. The staff dsnt speak English. So I translated my order in Spanish while ordering still they got it all wrong. I didn't return to the restaurant to complain about the mess. They won't understand my complain too even if I use Google translator. What's the point of serving here when you can't serve the diversity. DISAPPOINTED.
I came here once and the food was excellent. Then I gave it another try and brought my brother with me. We dined in service was OK but the food was really cold. I didn’t think anything of it. Just maybe they were busy. Today my brother picked me up a burrito First thing in the morning and again my burrito is cold.. A little worried about food safety when food is not being warmed up properly or kept heated. Now I am looking for a different taco shop
