Pho Lovers Sunnyvale Reviews
I love how big the portions are compared to San Jose and it’s cheaper. However, for some food, you can tell it had reheated seafood due to the fact that it’s either hard or dry. Otherwise, very good food and service. Quick (unless you’re ordering Bánh Xèo) and easy.
We ordered fried spring rolls for appetizer - they taste so good, actually the best I have ever had. Phos are pretty good. My husband also liked his spicy chicken rice dish.
The Pho was really good. Broth was tasty and amount of meat in the bowl was an A+. Parking is a little tough, they share a n area with a Hispanic Grocery. But do not be deterred you will be glad you went.
Very good Buncha! I have always tried comparing this dish wherever I go to the one I had in Hanoi and this one is by far the best 👍🏼 Again, something in the soil in Cali. The produce and meat taste really good. Respect to the people who can take advantage of this and make tasty food out of it.
The Food here is so good and the service was friendly and really fast. I was thrown off by how quickly the food came out. But the quality was great. No complaints at all. The shrimp cake was so crispy and my favorite. Also the little soup that came with the meal was so good. Very light but tasty. We loved that the rice came out in a little heart shape. We had the chicken and the lemongrass chicken..the chicken was seasoned perfectly..the lemongrass was spicy. But all good. We will definitely want to go back. Our server Diana was really nice
A little difficult to find or spot in the night . But food was great . We did a take out of the Vegetarian pho ( CoVid19 times ) and spicy noodles and both of them tasted really nice . Quantity was also good . Definitely sufficient ( more then enough ) for one person . We had to assemble our own pho at home . Food for vegetarian : definitely good and recommended with a wide variety of options and dishes . Supplemental : The place was cute and cozy and the food was nice . The owner felt warm and had nice folk Vietnamese ( or so my best guess ) music playing. Definitely recommended for vegetarians PS : don't go by the pho quantity in the attached pic . There was definitely more , I just served myself that much for first serving.
Decent Vietnamese restaurant experience. Soup was good with a generous portion of noodles, but only a few slices of beef. Imperial rolls were good, but on the small size. Fast and friendly service. Parking lot is a messy situation, as every business in the shopping plaza has their own dedicated parking spots, so it could be very hard to find a spot.
The food is fresh. We loved all the rolls. I always get the vegetarian platter. The pho is tasty. Doesn't leave you so thirsty. Gives you lots of Noodles. Parking can be a disaster and hard to find on busy days. There are only a few slots reserved for the restaurant. The rest belongs to other businesses so keep that in mind. The service can be good or slow. Just depends.
Vegan options were delicious. I ordered the spicy vegan noodle soup and my boyfriend got the vegan vermicelli. Portion sizes were huge! I really enjoyed my meal. Rating 4 stars because we weren’t really attended to after food was brought out. Wish they would’ve at least refilled our waters.
Let me preface this review by saying that their pho is solid (a bit bland but they don't use MSG supposedly) and the hot green tea was very nice. However - by principle, I have to give them a 1/5 for completely messing up my nut allergy. We explicitly asked for no nuts in the pho (easy enough) and the vermicelli (which usually comes with nuts). The vermicelli was served with nuts at the bottom of the dish. As someone with a life threatening allergy, I can't support this kind of service. Edit: Bumping my score back because the manager called me directly and apologized. The food was good, I hope their service improves for people moving forward.
Such a yummy experience, with a good selection of pho and Vietnamese cuisine. The decor is perfect and a amount of space for small to large groups. I like the pho size offering, you can get small or the large. Funny but it works. I saw the rice plates that come with heart shape white rice . Surprisingly a very diverse crowd and busy. From small cluster to large family gathering. Will try the drinks next time. Second visit 2019, was awesome with the vermicelli chicken and shrimp plate. It came with chopped lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts and pickled carrots and radishes. Oh yes it was topped of with peanuts.
I have been to this restaurant twice. I am personally not a fan of their Pho, so I avoided that and ordered the Shaking Beef noodles. It was generously sized and is a shareable plate. They are very friendly and attentive on the service side and do offer generous portion sizes. The parking lot is difficult to find a parking and maneuver in, so beware of that feature.
A good Vietnamese cuisine in Mexican neighborhood. Well, the only one within 1 mile. Other businesses here are all Mexican heritage. Parking can be difficult as it’s limited with clear signs which lots belong to which business. If you don’t pay attention, your car might get towed while you’re dining. For the food, I gave 3 stars only because 2 out 3 dishes I ordered was mediocre. Special combo Pho & Spring Rolls were just okay. I know because I had better & more authentic ones elsewhere. Wonton noodle soup was actually good.
They charge extra fee for credit card processing. They encourage you to pay by cash. Spring rolls were so bad that we decided not to finish it, even though we love spring rolls and we can't get enough of it at other places. Also, this is a mexican restaurant that sells Vietnamese foods. The foods were so bad.
New update. Disappointed for the service and the portion of the spicy tofu servered. Downgraded from 4 stars to 1 star. Charge 3% for credit card, Will not coming here again. ********** Crispy and spicy 🔥 tofu taste vepry delicious 😋
