Great pizza and great service. Best in town for sure. Can't wait to go again! Wish there was parking though.

Nice old school atmosphere the gentleman that made our pizza unfortunately I did not get its name was very friendly and made us probably the best pizzas we've had in Syracuse.

Absolutely delicious!!! The sausage and pep pizza was amazing! Also tried the chicken bacon ranch and pickle pizza my husband liked! Will deffinetly be back!!! 😋😋😋

Eric makes a phenomenal pizza! Always looking in the window to see if he's working to grab a pie! Great customer service as well.

So freaking amazing! The staff were so friendly and hilarious. Pizza is fantastic, and who knew pickle pizza would be so good!

A really excellent pizza spot in Cuse that has slices available properly as they should be. Mad cool people kicking it working too. After meeting the owner, definitely I'll be back to this place.

J
Josh Ashmore

The pizza was done right! Excellent experience. Small talk with employees was lackluster, but they don’t need to entertain, the food is just that good. Authentic pizza pie, thrown right on the brick inside the oven. I suggest only the pepperoni slice or the bbq chicken with broccoli.

W
Will Juntunen

A slice is more than a slice. The pizza guy should be nice. This fellow had good advice. He told me the names of the slices twice. He told a story of a guy on a bike, delivering Jimmy Johns through the snow and ice. A slice for dinner, it really sufficed. Nick's Tomato Pie, it's street pizza done right.

T
Tyler (Phan)

Always good, guys that work there are determined to get your food ASAP and could go without you on your phone while ordering. They don't seem to mind if you ask about the toppings, they have some "out of the box" pies.

The best pizza I had in a long time. Got two different veg slices.

Delicious pizza. Watson and Zach are the best! Highly recommended.

Best pizza I had during my stay in downtown Syracuse didn't leave the downtown so I don't know what the rest of the city has to offer but this was very good. And the staff here a great as well.

Man when I say this believe me but this pizza is amazing. I like pizza, I eat a lot of it, and this place has something for everyone. The crust is 🤌

Went with the namesake and got a tomato pie, was very tasty. I ate it hot even though many traditionally eat tomato pie at room temp. I urge you to try it hot, I like it both ways. Anyways Nick's Tomato Pie made a yummy one.

Dined in with a couple of friends and thought service was very friendly. The pizza tasted amazing and they even let me pick the slice. Will come again!

M

Nick's is always top notch. It doesn't matter if it's lunch time, or two in the morning after a bar crawl. The service is great and the pie's are even better. It's worth the visit.

This place is a zoo late night, but so fun, and worth it when its the only place open at 2 am... staff was salty and threw a bunch of pizza away in front of very hungry late night customers... a little unsure why this particular night was any different than the weekend before.

Watson and Jodi retiled the floor, wished us a Happy fourth July every 14 seconds, Watson has a pet bunny named Barney short for barnabus, Jodi has a pet cobra named Oprah Goldberg but it was blind so it didn’t have the view. 5/5 would order again.

This is an excellence place with delicious food, especially the wings and pizza. It's a local business with great employees! I would highly recommend for lunch, dinner, or a snack.

Watson is the BEST and should be part owner. I haven't had this good of service since Fallujah in 04-05. He only paid me $19 to say this.

Called on 11/10 around 2pm to order hot wings for pick up . The guy that cooked my wings also rung me out during pick up and I must say the customer service was above and beyond he made sure my wings were saucy and crispy was very polite when I called and gave the same energy during pick up definitely will be back !

L
Laryssa Zegarelli

Awesome wings. Friendly staff. I order from them almost weekly but this last go about I ordered wings from them and they weren’t very crispy at all but I called in (politely) and they dropped me fresh wings that were perfectly crisp even after the ride home and the abundance of sauce they were still crisp as ever…which is normally the case for them. I don’t throw out 5 stars lightly but they truly deserve it!

It was great to return home and enjoy some legit New York pie

I have been coming here for years. After the bars close the line is out the door. I will also enjoy lunch here. The pizza selection is very good and the taste is spot on. There is at least 8 different pies out. There chicken wings are also good. Perfect place to end the night after a long night out.

Went to Nicks after a night around Syracuse and after talking to some locals, Nicks was the best place to go. They weren’t kidding! Huge slice of pizza that tasted incredible, plus a water was under $5. Was fresh and so flavorful and cheap! I had the meatlovers with bleu cheese crumble and my friend had the classic cheese. Next time we are in town, this will be out first stop.

S
Sandy Lule

True authentic New York pizza! The serves is great and the prices are comfortable. Just got a plane cheese pie and man it is nothing like California pizza. You really get a burst of flavors. So if you se in Syracuse you gotta make sure to stop by and get some pizza!

Wow, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Nice sweet red sauce, quality cheese, crust not to crisp and not soggy. Owner is super friendly and obviously loves making people happy with his delicious pizzas.

Some of the best pizza in Syracuse and a must stop for a slice if you're down in armory square. It was a travesty when they had to close down for a while.

Absolutely amazing food and service! Pizza is so good, calzones are tasty, and wings are loaded down delicious! Best deal in town and a short walk from the Residence Inn! We will be back the next time through!

Visiting from Canada and I chose a random pizza place to walk into and I'm really glad I did. Tattooed guy behind the counter is absolutely wonderful. Picks the best slice out of the pizza for you and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Delicious pizza too.

We ordered pizza, wings, and garlic knots for our holiday work party. It was a large order (6 pizzas, 80 wings, 30 garlic knots) but was very affordable with the deals they offer. We called in to order it about a week ahead of time and everything was ready right on time the day we went to pick it up (Thanks Raquel!!) All the food was amazing and the customer service was absolutely top notch. I would highly recommend them for work lunches if your in the downtown area.

luisa fernanda velez osorio

I have been craving for pizza and wings, and Nick's is the BEST. I have ordered chicken bacon ranch, pepperoni, and chicken wings. Everything tastes sooo good. I also tried their Veggie Delight and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. Foods are excellent and the best part is they are affordable! Planning to have large order here for our party.

This is THE BEST pizza in Syracuse. If you're looking for wacky topping combinations that scream "late night in a college town" look no further. My faves are the sassy chicken, the big dill, and chicken bacon ranch. Slices are cheap, they're open late, and everyone is super nice. I'd eat here every day if I could.

M
Meryum Syed

The sauce is SO good! It tastes super fresh and doesn't have the acidic taste that pizza sauce can sometimes have. That's how they can have a great tomato pie - which is crust and tomato sauce, and it tastes amazing. The other ingredients are also just as fresh and the place is super clean and the people are friendly. Would highly recommend you try it out!

M

Grabbed a slice to go late night on a weekend, good service and the pizza was delicious

Got a large Veggie Delight and 10 wings from here for dinner. The pizza was absolutely delicious! I asked for extra jalopenos, but there was not that many to be found, but still an amazing experience overall! The wings were cooked perfectly! The person working was a pleasure to deal with and had an amazing attitude! I can't wait to be back again!

Excellent pizza, service, ingredients and the CRUST! Wow - there is no comparing Nick's Tomato Pie to anything in California (or Florida) where we cone from. Ask for the spicy honey! Yes, no kidding - delicious on your tomato pie. We will be back - $30 for an extra large with toppings. Hip old tin ceilings and lively sidewalk conversation right outside. Ask for Watson to come to your table and tell stream of consciousness stories and interpretive scarf dance!

Nick's has the best Pizza I've ever had.. My kids love it too, we come here a couple times a week. The service is Great. The best pizza I've had in a long time! My first time at Nick's, definitely won't be my last! I tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Brocolli and Tomato with ricotta. Their Chicken Bacon is the best chicken bacon pizza I've ever had. You can tell everything is fresh and my pizza wasn't dripping with grease, the crust is light and flakey but still somehow crispy, it's just absolutely perfect. The Brocolli and Tomato pizza was full of flavor with a generous amount of thick and rich ricotta. Amazing. The staff are super nice and if you're lucky you'll learn a few dad jokes lol. I also was pleasantly surprised how cheap my bill was. Two huge slices and a soda for less than $12 even after taxes, etc. Whoever Nick is, tell him he makes great pizza! I'll be sure to spread the word!

This place always comes in so clutch for late night downtown food, whether it’s after a night of drinking, working, or needing to feed a group of friends back at home — consistently dependable and reliable. The pizza is always good, the garlic knots too. This is the only place around the area that adequately reminds me of a New York slice. They run good deals during the week and are fairly priced to begin with. Staff is great, friendly and chill, they work real hard and treat their downtown community well.

This place is not nearly as well known as it should be. There pizza is very very good!! Also they offer 10+ different kinds specialty slice pizzas available all day long, and until at least 3am on Friday and Saturday’s. Located right in Armory’s square—Nick’s Tomato Pie is located within walking distance of lots of the nightlife in syracuse…The Landmark Theater, Clinton Street Bar, Ice Rink, Red House, (for most of us) the OnCenter as well! Nick Tomato Pie is not only easily accessible due to there hours and location, the staff they employee is timely, pleasant and makes sure there pizza quality is consistent!!

Best pizza in Syracuse, NY! Jody and Nick was nice and courteous, something I didn't expect in NY. They out did themselves is service alone, but the pizza is what took the care or rather the pie! Highly recommend if you want an authentic NY pizza experience!

Great pizza, great vibe! Tons of slice options—cheese, meat lovers, Sicilian, buffalo chicken—all super flavorful and perfectly charred. Classic NY fold, crispy crust, and gooey cheese. The place has a cool, late-night college energy with friendly staff and fast service. Interior is no-frills with checkered floors and stacked pizza boxes—gritty in a good way. Open late, right in the heart of downtown. A must-stop after a night out!

Very happy to have found this spot! I was taking a walk and saw 'tomato pie' and turned right in. The 2 guys that were working were both personable, funny, high energy and engaging. Its always a good feeling to see people who are happy to be at their job. Another bonus, this spot sells single wings!!!! I walked out with a glass bottle of coke, slice and 2 wings for less than ten dollars. I will certainly return to this spot and eat-in next time. All around great experience!

This was at the top of my list of pizza places in Syracuse that I still needed to visit, and ot was really good. There was only one guy working, which was pretty impressive, and he was just slinging out pies. He was also very friendly and apologized for the amount of time it took to get my pizza out, but it really didn't feel like that long, especially considering he was the only one working. I had a large pizza with mushrooms and peppers, and it tasted really good. It did feel like the crust at the end needed a little something to add to its flavor, but other than that, I have no complaints. Also the price of the pizza is very reasonable! I was surprised! I would come back, and I have seen that sometimes they have a Spaghetti pizza, and I would really like to try that!

Checkered floors and chipper lighting greeted us late on a Friday night. The dudes behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and fun. It felt good to be in there, assessing the plethora of pies. Pickle pizza? Yes! One of the guys gestured to a tattooed serious-looking man; "He designed it. It's actually really good!" I got brave and ordered a slice. The green pickles glimmered beneath a thick zig-zag of ranchy sauce, and when I bit in, I tasted dill. Real dill. A real herb, complex flavors. The salty vinegar bite of the pickles spiked the rich gooey cheese and was incredibly pleasing. The crust was like a warm cloud. Well done, gentleman. Yum. Two slices and the whole bill came to under $5. Totally going back. Pizza love!

Went in for lunch with friends. We ordered a whole pie. They made it fresh for us in 15 minutes. Best pizza in the city.

J

Decent pizza but you have to deal with the drunks next door. I think that was a marketing strategy to get customers to buy both?

I found the prices reasonable for the amount of food you get service was friendly it was fast I like the interior pizza was fantastic had some other stuff to have been more than a few times enjoyed every time

B

They have some of the best pizza and wings around! They have 10 different types of pizza on any given day: super buffalo, buffalo, cheese, chicken bacon ranch, pepperoni, etc. I wish that the place was a little cleaner though.

Closest thing to NYC pizza around CNY. Great pizza at a great price . Nice , clean place to sit and eat or grab and go. Conveniently in the heart of downtown and a few minutes walk to various bus stops. Garlic knots are the bombdotcom.

If I was just rating the pizza it would be 5 stars, but the interior reminds me of a frat house. That aside, it's a great place. We had a beer while we waited and the prices were fair.

The best slice you can get at 2 in the morning in Syracuse. They get real busy on weekend nights but keep the line moving and have lots of different topping options at any given time.

We just tried the pizza, garlic knots and chicken tenders, and it was delicious and fresh! Aaron was very hospitable and funny, and Watson was personable and prompt on service! Great little stop, truly delicious pie! The price is right and you will be satisfied. Check out Nick's Tomato Pie, you will be pleased.

Pizza by the slice is just what we needed after a fun day at MOST with the kids. There were standard flavors, like pepperoni and cheese, but unique twists for the more adventurous pizza foodie. We enjoyed the chicken, bacon, ranch, as well as the bacon Mac & cheese pizza. If we were local, we'd definitely hit this place up more. Oh. And the crust was AMAZING!

Pat Mueler

The pizza was very good people were friendly, however this is a big thing to me, I went in there to have a meeting, and constant slamming of the doors people being loud , the people I was meeting with was interrupted bye a guy standing there staring for a couple minutes before interrupting and asking if the other parties wanted pizza, they were going to get a slice after the meeting there not gunna stop our meeting to get pizza ounce were already in the middle of it. sometimes people just want to have meeting with out the distractions. If three people are having a conversation and meeting maybe just a little more respect for them and not need to make that much noise or interrupt them is all . As I was going over schooling information so that time with those guys is very valuable. If that gets cleaned up the next couple of times I go in there I'll change the review to all 5s . There is a time and place to be chatting in the beginning when they order there food. Ounce people and are no longer engaging in a conversation and sit down let them have there space is all.

I enjoyed my slice of Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza from Nick's Tomato Pie. My son had the Spicy Honey and enjoyed it as well. The slices are substantial, so one might be sufficient for a quick dinner. The server was friendly and let us know what is what when it came to slices. The restaurant is a little tired looking inside but, no doubt, was nicer in the past. The adjacent room with the tables feels like a bit of an afterthought. All in all though, not a bad slice of pizza!

If you're looking to absorb a bit of local color in Syracuse's Armory Square, Nick's Tomato Pie is the place for you. It's not super clean and the menu boards were not functioning. We could hear a bit of moaning/bellowing from the other side of the dining room. No worry, though. Turns out it was just Clarence, a foul-mouthed vagrant who, we were told, considers the joint a "safe place." Clarence was under the influence, but seemed to love everyone, including me, my family, the financial advisor seated next to us and Raquel, the person in the command chair of this establishment. (I can't say enough about Racquel; she handles Clarence in a heartwarming manner, telling him to behave and returning his proclamations of affection all while just getting her job done. If there had been an impending asteroid strike, I believe she could have led us to safety. She was that good.) As for the pizza, the crust is the standout player. The pepperoni pie was somewhere between OK and a-little-better-than-OK. The poutine pizza was far superior, loaded with yummy cheese and crisp fries. I would have liked to have seen more gravy on that one, though.

K
Kirk Gramoll

Typical college town pizza. Not overly friendly service. Maybe they were off the game due to it being a Monday. My wife said woman's bathroom needed attention as well.

リョウイチ

Fairly run of the mill. Would love to see a vegan option. This is "the pizza place drunk people on armoury go to." Turns out, it has a name.

K
Kyle Barbagallo (Kyo)

Pizzas good. Speed issue: Getting the pizza slice was too slow. I had 2 people in front of me. They each wanted 2 slices and a knot. Girl working would take one slice at a time to the oven. Instead of taking a empty pizza pan. Throwing everything on. And throwing it all at once into the oven. Would cut down the lines faster. It took 23 minutes for 3 customers to get 5 slices paided and heated up?

J
John Boyd

Pretty good pizza, but bring your own plates because sometimes they won't give you a plate for your pizza. I bought a whole pie for myself and friends but was told that we couldn't have any plates because they needed them for other people.

M
Michael Kowalski

Don't eat here if you value sanitary conditions. The staff is very standoffish and doesn't acknowledge your presence beyond asking your order and asking for your money. I witnessed toppings/cheese being brushed back on to pizza slices from an unwashed surface. Disgusting!

F
Fisherwoman

I actually like the pizza here but when I asked for a water they have me a cup and told me I had to get tap water from the bathroom. Really? I paying customer had to get their water from the one unisex bathroom they had?? Is that even sanitary??

S
Simran Arora

Normally I love this place. I grew up in Syracuse, and have loved eating here for years after a night out of drinking. But tonight, the cashier was completely racist, and this was unexpected and unacceptable. I can honestly say that I have never felt at Nick's like a second hand citizen until tonight when the cashier told me that a "white girl can do whatever she wants." I was literally handing my card to him to pay when he interrupted and said that a white girl was more important than a paying customer. I felt completely disrespected. I am a PROUD MINORITY who grew up in Syracuse. And I will not take this ignorance and insensitivity. Never again, Nick's. Never again.

I placed a call and was told I had to order thru Grubhub or Ubereats and they don't take delivery orders over the phone. No problem...I placed my order needing to schedule my deliver for 7:45pm eventhough it was only 5:07pm. I didn't get a call from Nick's, but from Grubhub to tell me they couldn't fulfill my order because they were closing. This is terrible customer service and now I'm scrambling to get dinner delivered while stuck at the hospital. Thanks Nick's.

R
Richi L.

Got the wrong delivery (using Grubhub), the restaurant was unwilling to help and just blamed the driver. The driver did not answer his phone, and the restaurant was unwilling to do anything to help, and did not seem to care at all about what happened. Ended up on a Friday night without any food. This was definitely the worse experience I have ever had with food delivery, I will never be ordering from here again.

A

Hot trash. Terrible grumpy servers who yell at customers and complain about their jobs. Ask any clarifying questions and be met with a barrage of “shut up and order” attitude. Pizza was fine but cut into random shapes. If anyone opens another pizza shop with decent service this one will instantly go out of business. Edit: advice to owner: for late nights, just make a ton of cheese pizza. Drunks just want to be in and out. Probably could sell it fast enough that you wouldn’t even need to reheat it speeding up everything. I was in line for 30 mins with only 10-15 people in front of me and when I left the line was out the door, probably a 90 min wait for those peeps.

Unusually I have a great experience Food was great! However the security they hired to work during weekends was beyond disrespectful and rude. These men threatened to hit my significant other as well as myself when we were trying to just get food. I felt so unsafe that the police had to come and defuse the situation. Please reconsider the people that you employ because their hostile behavior will deter costumers .

After a bad week with an elderly parent and terrible weather for both days of flying I wanted a drink before my return trip. I was charged $20 for each “double shot” screwdriver that had a ton of ice and a little oj AND ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL! Terrifying flight home with more turbulence. Shame on those scammers. Never again! Spend your money elsewhere.

I have been to this place many times and it has typically been a positive experience. But this last time I have been has to be the worst experience I have ever had in an establishment and absolutely inexcusable. We got kicked out after someone behind us started verbally harassing us. Even though the people behind us in line started an argument the bouncer pointed fingers at us. The people behind us went as far to call us names and repeatedly pretend to SPIT ON US. I feel like I should preface this statement by saying I am a minority myself: but it was obvious that the bouncer treated us different because the people harassing us were the same race/ethnicity as him so he did not look at the situation subjectively. I will never go back or recommend this place to my friends or family. I am SO disappointed in this place and the experience I had after being kicked out for someone else’s bad behavior.

I gotta be honest. The here is no tomato on these pies. They are trying their best but it just doesn’t deliver.

I am a recent widow that was sitting with a man and the person working there picked him up by the neck and through him out of the establishment. This guy was unbelievably inappropriate and yelled at me when I told him he was inappropriate. I with tell everyone I know never to come here , to a place that tastes a new widow like trash!!!

Horrible just horrible, first off when I was asked how I wanted my wings I said “Buffalo hot”, the guy acted like he didn’t know what that was and when I went in the shop to get my order they told me they don’t know what Buffalo hot is which is amazing to me, then I get a soup tray of bbq sauce and hot with wings in it and the wings aren’t hot and the pizza was trash I’m only giving it one star because it was .5 miles from me
