Nick's Tomato Pie Syracuse Reviews
I am obsessed with nick tomato pie. The pizza is delicious and Eric and Watson have the best customer service! Great end to my night 10/10 recommend WILL BE BACK!!!! We ordered one slice and they gave us a whole assorted pie! COME TO NICKS TOMATO PIE
Just check-ed into hotel and wanted a bite. This was close and looked promising. Wow was I happy I tried it. I would eat here frequently if I was a local.
Great pizza, amazing people. Eddie and Watson are great - they will take great care of you.
We were looking for a late evening meal after a concert and near our hotel. Nick's was one of the Google suggestions so we decided to give it a try. We loved the large variety of slices. The chicken wings and garlic knots were excellent.
The food is always fresh and well-prepared. Service is dependable and communication is easy. Definitely recommend. Watson was the greatest.
Bri was AMAZING, we are going to miss her! Best pizza in Syracuse !
Nicks tomatoes pie is great. The pizza is delicious with fresh ingredients. The customer service is also great. Jodie and Aldo made me feel like family. I would recommend their pizza to all
Best pizza in Syracuse, NY! Jody and Nick was nice and courteous, something I didn't expect in NY. They out did themselves is service alone, but the pizza is what took the care or rather the pie! Highly recommend if you want an authentic NY pizza experience!
We’re from Texas and my family wanted to try a ny pizza and this was our first choice and the best pizza we have ever eaten
Great pizza, great vibe! Tons of slice options—cheese, meat lovers, Sicilian, buffalo chicken—all super flavorful and perfectly charred. Classic NY fold, crispy crust, and gooey cheese. The place has a cool, late-night college energy with friendly staff and fast service. Interior is no-frills with checkered floors and stacked pizza boxes—gritty in a good way. Open late, right in the heart of downtown. A must-stop after a night out!
Very happy to have found this spot! I was taking a walk and saw 'tomato pie' and turned right in. The 2 guys that were working were both personable, funny, high energy and engaging. Its always a good feeling to see people who are happy to be at their job. Another bonus, this spot sells single wings!!!! I walked out with a glass bottle of coke, slice and 2 wings for less than ten dollars. I will certainly return to this spot and eat-in next time. All around great experience!
This was at the top of my list of pizza places in Syracuse that I still needed to visit, and ot was really good. There was only one guy working, which was pretty impressive, and he was just slinging out pies. He was also very friendly and apologized for the amount of time it took to get my pizza out, but it really didn't feel like that long, especially considering he was the only one working. I had a large pizza with mushrooms and peppers, and it tasted really good. It did feel like the crust at the end needed a little something to add to its flavor, but other than that, I have no complaints. Also the price of the pizza is very reasonable! I was surprised! I would come back, and I have seen that sometimes they have a Spaghetti pizza, and I would really like to try that!
Checkered floors and chipper lighting greeted us late on a Friday night. The dudes behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and fun. It felt good to be in there, assessing the plethora of pies. Pickle pizza? Yes! One of the guys gestured to a tattooed serious-looking man; "He designed it. It's actually really good!" I got brave and ordered a slice. The green pickles glimmered beneath a thick zig-zag of ranchy sauce, and when I bit in, I tasted dill. Real dill. A real herb, complex flavors. The salty vinegar bite of the pickles spiked the rich gooey cheese and was incredibly pleasing. The crust was like a warm cloud. Well done, gentleman. Yum. Two slices and the whole bill came to under $5. Totally going back. Pizza love!
The pizza was very good people were friendly, however this is a big thing to me, I went in there to have a meeting, and constant slamming of the doors people being loud , the people I was meeting with was interrupted bye a guy standing there staring for a couple minutes before interrupting and asking if the other parties wanted pizza, they were going to get a slice after the meeting there not gunna stop our meeting to get pizza ounce were already in the middle of it. sometimes people just want to have meeting with out the distractions. If three people are having a conversation and meeting maybe just a little more respect for them and not need to make that much noise or interrupt them is all . As I was going over schooling information so that time with those guys is very valuable. If that gets cleaned up the next couple of times I go in there I'll change the review to all 5s . There is a time and place to be chatting in the beginning when they order there food. Ounce people and are no longer engaging in a conversation and sit down let them have there space is all.
I enjoyed my slice of Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza from Nick's Tomato Pie. My son had the Spicy Honey and enjoyed it as well. The slices are substantial, so one might be sufficient for a quick dinner. The server was friendly and let us know what is what when it came to slices. The restaurant is a little tired looking inside but, no doubt, was nicer in the past. The adjacent room with the tables feels like a bit of an afterthought. All in all though, not a bad slice of pizza!
If you're looking to absorb a bit of local color in Syracuse's Armory Square, Nick's Tomato Pie is the place for you. It's not super clean and the menu boards were not functioning. We could hear a bit of moaning/bellowing from the other side of the dining room. No worry, though. Turns out it was just Clarence, a foul-mouthed vagrant who, we were told, considers the joint a "safe place." Clarence was under the influence, but seemed to love everyone, including me, my family, the financial advisor seated next to us and Raquel, the person in the command chair of this establishment. (I can't say enough about Racquel; she handles Clarence in a heartwarming manner, telling him to behave and returning his proclamations of affection all while just getting her job done. If there had been an impending asteroid strike, I believe she could have led us to safety. She was that good.) As for the pizza, the crust is the standout player. The pepperoni pie was somewhere between OK and a-little-better-than-OK. The poutine pizza was far superior, loaded with yummy cheese and crisp fries. I would have liked to have seen more gravy on that one, though.
I have been to this place many times and it has typically been a positive experience. But this last time I have been has to be the worst experience I have ever had in an establishment and absolutely inexcusable. We got kicked out after someone behind us started verbally harassing us. Even though the people behind us in line started an argument the bouncer pointed fingers at us. The people behind us went as far to call us names and repeatedly pretend to SPIT ON US. I feel like I should preface this statement by saying I am a minority myself: but it was obvious that the bouncer treated us different because the people harassing us were the same race/ethnicity as him so he did not look at the situation subjectively. I will never go back or recommend this place to my friends or family. I am SO disappointed in this place and the experience I had after being kicked out for someone else’s bad behavior.
I gotta be honest. The here is no tomato on these pies. They are trying their best but it just doesn’t deliver.
I am a recent widow that was sitting with a man and the person working there picked him up by the neck and through him out of the establishment. This guy was unbelievably inappropriate and yelled at me when I told him he was inappropriate. I with tell everyone I know never to come here , to a place that tastes a new widow like trash!!!
Horrible just horrible, first off when I was asked how I wanted my wings I said “Buffalo hot”, the guy acted like he didn’t know what that was and when I went in the shop to get my order they told me they don’t know what Buffalo hot is which is amazing to me, then I get a soup tray of bbq sauce and hot with wings in it and the wings aren’t hot and the pizza was trash I’m only giving it one star because it was .5 miles from me
