Great and simple atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and the dining area was very clean. Service was super fast, almost too fast. The food was prepared very well. I ordered a combo dinner plate with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and cornbread, plus a side salad. The brisket was perfect. The ribs were cooked very well with a little char, I would have preferred a little less smoke flavor with the ribs. The Mmac & cheese was prepared excellently. The cornbread was moist with just a little bit of sweetness. The side salad was simple and very fresh. My dining experience was almost perfect. I will definitely come back again, if I am in the area. Almost forgot, the spicy BBQ sauce was great. Just the right amount of peppery heat. Thank you for providing me with a amazing dining experience.

This small BBQ restaurant has some of the best BBQ I've had! The brisket was so tender it melted in my mouth. Even the tri-tip was super tender. If you're laying through and need a place to eat, you should definitely stop in!

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ and sides! The mac n cheese was the best I’ve ever had, the beans are not your standard bbq beans-really well flavored, the fried avocado was creamy & crunchy, the fry bread was a refreshing sweet snack to break up the richness of the rest of the food! The BBQ prime rib bone was perfection. Can’t wait to try the whole tri-tip when we get home! We are already planning to make the drive up from LA again to try out more!

Awesome experience on our way to Joshua tree. Meat was so tasty and well prepared. Smoking was done well. We got the wet ribs and pulled pork, just perfect. Side of cabbage well prepared too. Prices are correct. Service is sweet. I highly recommend

We were looking at homes in the area and a friend had told us about the place, so glad he did. Good food for a fair price and nice atmosphere with good service. If we buy a place in the area, we will certainly be coming here regularly.

Been here a few times, but first review. I usually get the brisket plate because I love me some brisket and they smoke some bomb brisket. First time getting it in a sandwich, which comes with a bag of chips. Also got a single beef rib. The fat in the brisket is what keeps me coming back. I will definitely be back when I'm in Tehachapi. Love it 😀

This little hidden spot is worth the drive. I happend to smell the smoked meat in the air and drew me in. It's not very big, but very hospitable, and outdoorsy decor. I orded the the fried mozzarella stick to start and the two meat combo. They got me at first bite. You can tell a lot of love went into making their food. The cheese from the mozzarella sticks, stretched out for days. And addition to dipping it in ranch gave it a very nice compliment the ranch was buttermilk Style. I ordered the pulled pork and brisket the side of their breaded crumbled deep fried mac and cheese. Paired with their red Irish beer. The mac and cheese was love at first bite right amount of cheese the noodles were cooked to Perfection not too soft not too hard very creamy and it gets better with every bite. I can't explain all the flavors that are in it it just hits you all at once. The pulled pork you can taste Oak wood all natural along with a little bit of crispy burnt heads very juicy. Brisket can be pulled no cutting needed. Has a combination of oak wood, cracked pepper sweet bbq flavor. Melts in your mouth goodness. The corn bread omg, was soft with butter and hint of honey. No need to add butter. It was warm and easy to eat. I will be coming here again and trying new foods.

Our goto BBQ restaurant in Tehachapi. I normally go for the pulled pork and the wife the brisket...but tonight was the catfish and okra with berry bread pudding for desert. House made bbq sauces are always good. Only place I know of that you can get sweet tea also.

Thought I would try something other than BBQ and was impressed with the pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was cooked perfectly, tender not too soft, and had great flavor. It is more smoky, and that was a good thing, compared to other pastrami I have had. But was really tasty. I'm a big guy and the 1/2 sandwich was a big portion.

Going through Tehachapi, you have to stop off at the Red House BBQ. Eclectic and rustic this place is a BINGO. Counter ordering and then the staff delivers to the table. I had a half a rack of ribs, perfect amount for lunch, with delish slaw and side salad. The spicy sauce could've used more sauce for my hot palette. My husband had the very plentiful brisket sandwich with a side o of red cabbage slaw. So good. The hard working owner and staff were delightful.

I stopped in for lunch at Redhouse Barbecue after reading the online reviews. I had the brisket, salad, and beef stew. The brisket was tender and delicious. BBQ restaurant that reflects the Tehachapi vibe. I've heard they have good food, so possibly the day we visited, they were off, and we both ordered the Pulled Pork (which disappointmented), so we didn't have a variety to rate. I get pulled Pork often, so I believe I can judge it pretty well. This one had a lackluster flavor that the BBQ sauce (provided at each table) couldn't fix. It wasn't pulled enough, so you ended up with big chunks, and there was gristle. Being pulled pork it should have been ready quickly but took some time to arrive, which was disappointing because we had our dogs in our running vehicle outside. Outside seating has charm and is set up well with shade trees and cover. One suggestion is to put shade cloth on the pergolas, so the little green tree droppings don't get in the food on a windy day (which is often in this area!). We picked many out of our meals and drinks. Staff was nice. Seating is basic with inside and outside tables. We did appreciate the staff very nicely asking the pot smokers to to stop, as the smell didn't enhance the dining!! The parking lot is very large and located across from a cool metal building and active train tracks.

Nice Smoke house with good food. I tried the Burger sliders and it was pretty good. Buns were a bit too heavy but the meat in it (pulled pork, brisket, chicken) was delicious ! Take the cornbread as a side and you won't be disapointed. I would give a solid 4.5

Pleasant surprise off the beaten path with good food and friendly employees. The prices were good and the portions were generous but we liked most was the unique ambiance and outdoor patio dining. The meat was tender but did not have a lot of smoky flavor but once smothered in BBQ sauce it was delicious.
