El Taco Jalisco Temple Reviews
Being a big barbecoa fan, this place is always on my radar, when I'm in Temple. Great taste, fresh ingredients, generous proportions and always quick and very friendly service keeps me coming back.
Great food quick service. Love the environment
This restaurant is renowned for its exceptional breakfast tacos, which are packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Their menu features a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes, from spicy chilaquiles to perfectly seasoned enchiladas. Unlike many other places, the flavors here are vibrant and unique, creating an unforgettable culinary experience. I live just around the corner, and if I had the chance, I would visit every morning to savor their delicious food and start my day on a high note.
We ate lunch here today. Chips & salsa are yummy. My green enchiladas was so flavorful. Yummy sauce & seasoned chicken Yummy beans & rice Server lady was nice. We would definitely go again.
Their red salsa is so good that we started buying it from them in 32oz cups to take home, which may be why they’re being stingier with salsa these days. I get the same thing every time now, a fajita burrito with extra salsa, and it’s good every time. I’ve tried burritos from most of the other affordable Mexican food places around and these are my favorite by far. Hope they don’t change the recipe like the one in Belton apparently did! I pay for food and I want to enjoy it, I don’t care about the atmosphere. They’ve always been extremely friendly to myself and my family though, so I’d say the service is great.
dropped by for breakfast while waiting at the hospital. I will be the first to admit how picky I am with breakfast tacos since I grew up with them. The tacos themselves were good, really big. Not those fancy types. Just regular papa and egg. I also had chorizo with egg. Very quick service which was good since I’ve been up for 5 hours and it’s only 8am, I was crazy hungry. Server was very nice, coffee was restaurant coffee like everywhere else and it gets the job done. I’m Gonna come back around lunch since I’ll still be in the area. 5 of 5 placed my bootleg AirPods to give idea of size
The inside is kind of dark, tables are mismatched, looks a little run down. BUT we'll definitely be back because the food is delicious and the service was very friendly. Two adults, 2 entrées, 2 drinks, $20. Taco salad was very tasty. Carne asada was very tasty. Salsa is VERY tasty--even my 2 yr old loved it.
It's not the most appealing/inviting place from the outside, and not significantly better on the inside. However, the food and the service are really good! I can cook great Mexican food at home (raised on very traditional recipes from the regions of Mexico where my parents are from). BUT... when I feel like having good Mexican food, and don't feel like cooking, this is my go to place. Delicious breakfast burritos, amazing full size soft tacos with lots of meat, Omgoodness, the gorditas, mmmm! Yummy salsa, the creamy green one will set your face on fire! Great prices, nice portions.
They were quick for serving since I was on lunch. Was good price for the food. I would definitely go back. Flour Tortillas seem to be made fresh. Which is the "cherry on top" for me. 🙂
I had an appointment in the area and was starving so I had two lengua tacos here. They weren't the best I've had but they were actually flavorful. I took the drive thru because I was short on time and they moved pretty quickly, the young man in the window was polite and gave me extra avocado.
Came for lunch with my wife who is Mexican. The salsa for the chips was way too mild, not spicy at all. Then the actual “salsa verde” that’s supposed to be spicy was also mild. I figure that the restaurant cater to the workers from the hospital across the street and cook their food without any kick or fire. Food was tasty but not spicy and the portion was rather small. Service was courteous and fast.
When you get a burrito you expect for the burrito to cover the plate not be mostly filled with Tortilla. Well my burritos i ordered 3 that I received is mostly filled with Tortilla Still $14.99, but with only enough meat to fill a taco. But with a burrito sized Tortilla. Just because I was curious i wanted to know. I sat in the parking lot, wrote my review, took on my pictures. I went back into the restaurant. Ordered a taco. The last picture is the taco that I ordered, and it had way more meat in it than my burrito. We'll absolutely not be coming back here sabor de jalisco has better reviews ill try them out 🤔
Had two for dinner. Chips and salsa were great. Food tasted good, $13 and $14 plates, added a small queso, and two iced teas. Both of us had upset stomach issues and one of us had to run to the restroom when we got to HEB immediately after eating. The bill simply didn’t add up. $50+ dollars. When asked they said they sometimes charge more when using a card. You couldn’t get us to come back if held at gunpoint.
Never been here before. So we decided to try it. The atmosphere was like a cheap attempt to look authentic. Menu read chip & Salsa until 10:30.we got he at 10::05. The waitress took our drink order. Came back and got our order. I had to ask for chips and Salsa .she responded by " oh we have to charge you for it". I read where it states on the menu. My husband ordered two egg and potatoes tacos and 95% of it was potatoes Well to make a long story short I had to pay for the chips and Salsa plus an electronic fee. This is one place I won't be going back to
This used to be the best Mexican food in Temple. I don't know what happened, but their food has drastically gone! down hill! I understand that prices have gone up just about everywhere, but, give me a break! Over $30.00 for 2 Acapulco Plates that supposedly contained chicken. It was nearly all onion, lettuce and guacamole. The onions weren't even grilled and almost no chicken! It was inedible. I can make a plate of onions and lettuce and guacamole at home and save about $25.00. Really disappointing!
I bought eight tacos and received two small green sauce containers. When I asked for more, I was told there would be an extra charge. It's frustrating because I've come here multiple times before with my cousin making the purchases via drive-through and never had an issue. In fact, we often received a cup of sauce that was more than needed. I understand my cousin is a regular, but consistency is vital. You've lost a customer and received an honest review, which is the same feedback I'll give to anyone who asks in the future.
