One of my favorite coffee shops in Temple; drinks were always cheap and tasted great. Vibes were solid, food nearby, easy parking right out front, plenty of room with outlets. Perfect for studying or meeting with others.

Had a coffee and a pastry, which is made in house. A strawberry Danish that was light and delicious. The staff is friendly and professional. Nice building.

This place is a lovely, laid-back, coffee spot. We went on a Sunday, and there wasn't a ton of people. I ordered a hot, salted caramel latte, and it gave starbucks a run for their money. We also ordered the scones, and they were a great snack if you had a sweet tooth. They didn't have any sandwiches or salads available at the time, hopefully the will when we go back. The decor was so cute, like boho-chic. The employees were also very kind. We'll definitely be returning.

I love the atmosphere, the employees are nice and what definitely got me is the nice and huge playground in the backyard! You can enjoy your coffee while watching your kids play. We’ll be back soon! :)

This is my favorite coffee shop anywhere!!!! Even better pizza is in the same building. The owners are geniuses. If you're in central Texas this place is a must on any itinerary. The smell of fresh roasted coffee beans will draw you in. The atmosphere, staff, owners, and great products will keep your longer than expected and coming back for more. Did I mention the huge covered playground??? You and the kids will never want to leave.

I enjoyed a delicious Americano and did some work on my laptop in this great space. The playground looks really cool. I’ll have to bring the kids back for pizza at the connected restaurant. This coffee shop is a great addition to Temple. I’ll be back!

Kaytlin is the best barista ever! She made us the best drinks. They were perfect! Exactly the way we like them. Other places don't get the drinks perfect like she does! She is by far the best barista ever! I sure hope she gets a raise. The atmosphere here is wonderful. My friend recommended it here and I was hesitant to come, but I will definitely be back regularly now that I experienced it firsthand! Hands down one of my favorite places in Texas. I am a globally published author and have traveled the country and this place definitely is a favorite now. Very impressed to say the least. Blows away the Austin places by far, and blows away most of the places across the country. Thank you so much! I very highly recommend it here!!

Updated: honestly best coffee in Temple/Belton area! Definitely my favorite place. Had a bad experience this morning with a different coffee shop and sad I didn't go to first street. Such a cute coffee place, they even have a park in the back for kids to play/run around. Coffee is delicious as well and super affordable. Will definitely be back!

I got a chai tea latte and it was yummy! I absolutely love the kids playground area, nice soft fake grass and two different play areas for little ones and toddlers. Plenty of tables to sit at and watch them play!

Great spot from the big picture - dual-purpose, elevated, and family friendly - to the small details, e.g., touch-free sinks, soap, and paper towels. I like their coffee. My friends like their beer & pizza and their kids love the playground.

Being kind of finicky when it comes to buying a cup coffee, I was hesitant to give these folks a try. Boy am I glad I did! I drink my coffee black, nothing to alter the taste of a well roasted blend, and I am happy to say that from the very first sip I loved it! Also had a piece of the Chia Coffee Cake that was warmed up perfectly that was delicious! Definitely will get my coffee hook-up from 1st Street Roasters next time. The price was exceptionally reasonable too!

I've been going here since it opened and I always have a great time! I've never had a bad drink and I love sampling their different flavors. The signature Texas Vanilla is my favorite flavor to add to a cap or a latte. They also have great food/snack options. 1st street has that big-city coffee shop vibe that I love. It's a great place to get some work done or to bring my daughter to play. We love the playground, especially the fact that it is closed off. Definitely recommend whether you are just passing through or a local!

Such a cute roastery in downtown Temple. Any time I'm in the area I always stop in. Solid cortado and love that it's connected to the pizza shop Treno next door!

Visited with a friend looking for new coffees to take home. The environment is mostly good, the music is a bit old and makes it difficult to hear the person next to you. Two employees and neither offered any assistance nor did they make suggestions. Ordered two cappuccino’s they came out as lattes. The shots were good. Smooth. Not bitter. Was curious about the prices, however none of the bags are marked and neither employee would assist. Good coffee saved this rating/review.

The mocha coffee was excellent. The quiche was small and pre-made, then heated up when I ordered. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it tasted. There were very little selections in food choices -- 2 kinds of quiche this day and some pre-made sandwiches in a cooler. I really wanted a pastry, but they only had one type of muffin that did not look overly appetizing. The coffee shop shared a space with a pizza shop. The pizza shop had better seating, so we sat there. There was also outside seating on the pizza side.

Their coffee and matcha drinks are absolutely delicious. I recommend the Orange Dreamsicle latte and the Tropical Matcha if you're in the mood for some unique flavors. The vibe inside is great if you need to study or do some work and the baristas are attentive and super nice.

I’ve visited primarily to buy coffee beans, which are decent overall. My main concern is freshness. It appears they only roast a new batch once the current supply sells out, which can take more than a week. For customers seeking freshly roasted coffee, that delay makes a noticeable difference. It would be great if they offered the option to purchase from the most recent roast or discounted older stock accordingly. I’d also appreciate a wider selection of origins and roast profiles. Unfortunately, the baristas tend to be a bit dismissive when I ask about upcoming batches, which dampens the overall experience.

Pretty good atmosphere for some decent coffee. Got a macchiato and asked if they had iced. I was brought a traditional macchiato. Basically, it's a shot of espresso and a small bit of cream. I ended up saying that's not what I meant. The manager replaced with an iced coffee "like a caramel macchiato" it was good.

Coffee is very watery and it is very evident they over-roast their beans...better off walking down the street for better coffee for a better price. My wife surprised me and bought me a sweater from here, and of course, it didn't fit. She tried to exchange it (to the same worker who helped her the first time) and was met with rudeness and a condescending attitude. There were no signs at all stating the policy (which we would have been fine with in the first place), but rather than helping, the worker told my wife: "there should be signs saying it somewhere"...So is there a policy or not??? Now we're stuck with a sweater that doesn't fit and watery burnt coffee...proceed with caution...Do not recommend.

Title: Mid at Best ☕️ Disappointed with this coffee spot. Watery, flavorless coffee. Baristas seemed more interested in their phones than crafting a decent cup. One even sat outside on a table, scrolling away. Maybe focus on the coffee, not the Instagram? And, can we talk about the 'I'm intellectual' glasses? Felt like I was in a coffee shop cliché. Won't be back. 1/5 stars
