I can only really talk about my experience but my burger was above expectations not only just for airport restaurant food but for restaurant food in general. The Tex Mex burger was phenomenal and the fries were good as well. Our waitress was really attentive and nice. Will be back whenever I connect here again.
Fantastic restaurant and awesome veggie burgers 🍔 & draft beers 🍻!! So many to choose from. Easy QR ordering & sooo seamless. The bartenders are absolutely great and there is so many kinds of seating - from the bar to the restaurant to the seating next to the wall overlooking traffic.. with a serious restaurant Zen ambient feel to it!!
Wow! The food here is sooo good. Not like airport food where they don’t necessarily have returning customers. The beef short rib fettuccine was actually better than on I had in a top Woodlands restaurant recently. Staff are vigilant, helpful and service-oriented. The place is clean and the atmosphere viby.
One of the best chicken fried sandwiches I’ve had in a long time!! Perfect juicy meat with a great batter. Wonderful meat/slaw/sauce ratio. Great amount of pickle to add a great acid crunch. Well done Ember! Service staff is super friendly and really attentive. Great spot for a pre-flight meal! Update: second time here and again Ember does not disappoint. My server Angel was just that!! A beautiful Angel that made my day. She is customer service personified! Thanks Ember for making my Houston airport experience a joy! Look forward to my next trip here!
Remember it’s an airport restaurant, atmosphere here is as good as it can be. Perfect spot between different gates. The food is magnificent and the service even better. Angie was a sweetheart. If you order a stake remember, meet knifes are not allowed inside an airport so you would need to use a regular knife.
The staff was so lovely. I was looking at the menu and got some great recommendations from the waiters. I was indecisive to come in but immediately knew it was a good choice after speaking with the staff. My waiter was this really nice woman. We got to chat and I had a great time. It was a slower time and it was a really chill atmosphere with good food. I got the hamburger dumplings and a martini. I don’t ever write reviews but thought might as well since I had such a nice time. 10/10
Decent place to have something solid to eat and drink before the flight. Double cheeseburger was good, patty moist and juicy, bun bit over burned, not a big deal. Ordering and payment process done by scanning QR was very efficient, I didn’t have to wait too long to see food and drinks arriving at my table. Charging stations were right at my table, which was very convenient. Music quite loud though, but nice selection from the eighties.
There aren’t too many nice restaurants at IAH Houston; ember is probably the best go to for the extensive menu and large space. Food is mediocre but cocktails are good. Pricey but that’s expected at the airport. Cocktails with tax are $20 and most other appetisers/entrees are upwards of $25 with tax. Still between the food court or this place or even compared with united club, this place is far better. Find it at terminal C. 2 cocktails, a buffalo wings and fries= just under $100
Bustling airport restaurant 😋 the food was decent. The broccoli needed more salt but the chicken was very well cooked. I expected the onion rings to be a crispier but only about half were cooked crisp. I ordered a side of ranch to add some flavor to dishes. The service was not great. I ordered by QR code on the table so other than food being brought over did not get anyone to ask if I needed anything after delivery of food. For the price, it was not worth it.
Charging top tip upfront is not transparent. Specially when you wait quite some time to even get aknowledged. Just because of this, I reduced the tip to 18%. Ordered Medium rare ribeye and got a medium well overcooked oversalted. They offered to change it but at an airport there is no time for a second order. Too much money for a beer and a ribeye with fires at almost $100, you would at least expect outstanding quality and fast service.
There's no clear signage that customers seat themselves, so everyone ends up milling around the entrances. The prices are not on the large menu hanging by the entrance, so you need to flag down a server to get a paper copy. They have QR codes to look up the menu and order, but the wifi in the airport is slow, so expect this to take longer than just placing your order with a human. There are no paper receipts, which make it difficult for business/government travelers who may need paper receipts for reimbursement. It's difficult to split checks. The meal needs to be paid for up front, which is atypical for sit-down restaurants and off-putting. How can I determine a tip if I haven't even been served yet?? The food was fine. The service was adequate, if a little slow. The wait staff seemed stressed and understaffed. All in all, it's an unfriendly business model - NOT the fault of servers, cooks, or any floor staff. I wouldn't recommend this place for these reasons.
If you're charging AHEAD for the tip, YOU should definitely make sure the service is stellar, unfortunately that's not the case. My food took long, but my beer took even longer and 2 servers to go and check on it. My sandwich had waaaay to much dressing to be enjoyable. Also, overpriced. I would suggest to walk around the airport and find a place where they don't ask for the tip before they offer barely any service.
Had the Nashville chicken sandwich and onion rings. Sandwich was dry with no sauce, drinks were $20 each and took 30 minutes to arrive. Would not recommend this to anyone, one of the worst airport restaurant “experiences” I’ve had
Not recommended. You are made to pay when ordering (No problem and understandable), but then they also add a 20% tip before services have been rendered, and we all know what happens to the level of service when you tip first. It's going to suck, and this was no exeption. One of the ingredients to the dish I ordered was not on my plate. I wanted to ask my waitress and let her know, but she never returned to my table after I paid my bill beforehand and tipped her. And the dish, a grilled salmon salad, was basically a small overpriced piece of salmon served over a bed of greens with a beet dressing. Not worth what I paid and not worth the automatic 20% gratuity. There was once a time when 15% was the standard gratuity, with tips being based on a percentage as a tool against inflation. Unfortunately, over the last 15-20 years, restaurant owners have gotten greedy, stopped paying their cooks & back-of-house staff while standards for tipping have increased to 20-25% and dishes have gotten pricier, making dining out prohibitively expensive. I never return to these places and won't here. It is unfortunate that the corrupt mayor Sylvester Turner pushed Pappas Restaurants out of Bush Intercontinental, because this is now what we have.
Can a waitress bé that disrespectfull ? Familly of 3 with 6 back pack arrive at 3pm. The restaurant is rather empty. In order to be able to have the space to put down our back pack i choosef a table which was dirty. It was a bad choice i suppose. Indeed, the waitress V. Diceded she would not clean the dirty table ! She takes our order, advise us that we have to pay prior eating and automatically adds the 15/100 top and leaves. My husband asked her to clean the table. She came back and cleaned ont my husban's spot. However, my spot of the table was more dirty but she avoided cleaning it. Instead she broght us the drinks after having taken our 89 dollars payment ... And that was it. I took this quite personnaly. It was an insulte for me. We pay 89 dollars and are badly treated ? I ended up requesting a cleaning wipe to , as told her, "to clean the table". ...... She brought the wipe and let me clean the table myself. Not acceptable ! It realy hurt my feeling to be so badly treated.
This review is about the food quality. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were a few hours old. Hmm, gross. And the hamburger patty was something you would expect to get at any school cafeteria. Skip this place and save yourself from paying high prices for low quality. The waitress will automatically give themselves an 18% tip
