Colima's Texarkana Reviews
Legit delicious authentic Mexican food! Being from Southern California, I'm very particular about the Mexican food I eat. So happy to have a hometown favorite here in Texarkana! Highly recommend the Carne Asada burrito and the California burrito.
The staff and cook are the best and so friendly. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is 100% the place to eat. I'm from Houston, TX where Mexican culture and food is prevalent, Colima's is hands down my favorite place to eat in Texarkana.
This is the best Mexican food in Texarkana the food everything on point amazing customer service great things are always nice and a great mood super helpful even if you're a little picky like me LOL and I mean come on now when you walk in if there's other customers in the store and all the customers are super happy and nice to you if that doesn't tell you the food is bomb I don't know what does if you haven't found your Mexican food spot you have now
Colleagues told me to try a breakfast burrito. I ordered ham, egg, cheese, potato and grilled onions. I was only able to eat half because they are ginormous! I walked in but I waddled out. Highly recommend!
The good here was awesome and exceeded all of my expectations. I had the Del Mar Burrito and even the batter that the fish was fried in was sooooo good. It wasn’t greasy at all. The portions are plentiful and the price is very affordable. I easily got enough food for two meals.
I ordered online, i got there in 10 minutes and was greeted with friendly service, food ready, and all I had to do was pay. Needless to say, the food is amazing! Their burrito portion will not disappoint and all together love anything I get from there! (The shrimp is truly amazing as well) I believe they deserve all the recognition!
Our recent experience at Colima’s was amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The menu offered a wide selection of authentic Mexican dishes. We ordered the Chile Rellenos and Rolled Taco plates. The portions were generous, the guacamole was fresh, and the mole sauce was delicious. The staff went above and beyond to guide us through the extensive menu and kept checking on us to ensure we were taken care of. I highly recommend Colima’s to anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine.
We have been visiting this restaurant for years, and every single thing we have ever ordered has been the most flavorful experience. It is one of our favorite locations for breakfast, and no one makes breakfast burritos like Colima's makes them. The size is huge, and is perfect to share. $11 to split is a really good price. To give you an idea, we weighed the burrito we ordered today (3/23/24), and it was just over two pounds. I ate 1/4 of the burrito, and had enough for another breakfast. That is a little over $2.50 per breakfast if I do not share and stretch it over for 4 days, and I am not hungry after. I have had their chorizo, bacon, sausage, and now steak. Chorizo is my favorite, but nothing has ever been unsatisfactory.
We stumbled upon this place online when stopping in Texarkana. I have given 5 stars to other Mexican restaurants because I didn’t realize it could be this good. The food simply put was fantastic. It’s hidden away in a small strip mall but is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We got to speak to the couple that runs the place after we ate and they stressed how d everything was fresh and it showed. This place knocked other places down to 3 stars in comparison. The owners were fantastic and friendly people. I wish you all were in North Carolina. I can say that since we travel a lot, we will be back!
Best Mexican food ever! The lady at the counter was helpful and fun to talk to, lots of people were ordering and coming and going, the place has a great atmosphere. I got the surf and turf burrito and it was HUGE and the flavors were on point! My mom’s chicken quesadilla was gigantic and super tasty as well. We also enjoyed the horchata and hibiscus tea. The prices are great, especially for the huge portions.
I can't believe i have lived within 40 min of this place 13 years and never heard of it???? Mexican food and TexMex is my favorite. I have hundreds of reviews all over Texas and Mexico too but yesterday we found this little jewel tucked away in a strip mall. As we walked in i knew it was going to be good. Smells and menu picture board was just like south Texas. I got the combo beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas spicy, wife got chicken taco salad with NO shell and daughter got quesadilla.... We brought 2 full tray boxes home. It was so good, the beef was tender and yep spicy means spicy. Had sweat on my forehead, eyes watered some, back of my tongue went almost numb... But it was so good. Wife loved her salad but it was COVERED with chicken. Daughter brought over half her quesadilla back ot was so huge. She loved it. There was only 3 tables open die to this fake CCP pandemic but was happy to see they were open. This will be our usual Mexican food place from now on. Cant wait to eat my left overs today for lunch. The pictures are great but wish you could smell them instead. BTW, if you cant handle very spicy... Do NOT order spicy, you might die. Haha not really, but beware, spicy IS very much just that. I highly recommend this place.
My experience was absolutely perfect! The food was perfect, and the service was excellent!!! I’m from California, but live in Ohio and it’s really hard to find great Mexican food like southern Cali has to offer. No one sales carne asada fries. I was so excited when I checked out this restaurants menu to find they offered both asada fries, and asada chips. Also the rolled tacos were bomb. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves real Mexican food. Over all I would give this restaurant 100 stars, but only five are available for ratings! Thank you co much for the experience!! I will be back again.
Customer service was amazing. The restaurant is clean and it has lots of options. The portions are huge. Unfortunately, the food itself is very bland. Even the salsa didn’t have that much. If you are looking for some flavorful food this is not the spot. But if you are more concerned about portions, this is your go to.
Staff was friendly. Serving for breakfast brunch time was huge. My husband ordered enchiladas but they only had the molé type, it was too sweet and beans needed more flavor. Other than that, it was good.
I got a super burrito it's was big but the asada had a lot of fat. California has the best Mexican food. I came to this place because I was told it was good.
