Carmen's bar is the perfect place for university students, a perfect place to hang out with friends. Carmen is one of a kind! I personally go there very often for aperitivo, and she's famous for her bici, which are spritzes in a small plastic cup—that's what they call it there. Recommended, great prices!

It is very interesting place. You drink cheap alcohol in the plastic cups. It is really cheap; you pay 4 eur for “Bici” which is basically aperol spritz without ice. Full of alcohol ! As you can see from the photos, it is not fancy, it might be preferable for the people who want to get drunk fast. I think it is run by an old couple, they seem so sweet in the shop. I loved this place, I had fun!

Lucrezia Saracino

Turin's famous "BICI" (bicycles) are available at Carmen. They cost €2, doubles €4, and include fries. Don't expect refined service because Carmen is quite the opposite, but it's a great place to spend the evening, especially for university students.

A classic neighborhood bar, but always crowded with university students. Maybe it's the casual, laid-back atmosphere, or the €1.50 bicycle rental in a plastic cup... it's always packed, especially at aperitivo time when the crowds fill the outdoor seating area, the sidewalk, and every available space. The restroom is clean and convenient. Definitely worth a try, as it's part of the Vanchiglian folklore. For those of us in the neighborhood, it's a pleasant, authentic, old-school spot.

Carmen is famous for its cheap spritz. You will take a glass without ice full of alcohol. Basically made for who wants to drink as faaa. Maybe not the best atmosphere in zone santa Giulia but they have their own costumers. If you don’t care about anything else but having almost free drinks here is where you are looking for. At the end atmosphere is defined by how you enjoy it however there is nothing offered by location.

All the university students in Turin stop by Carmen's. The owners are two very talented people, and it's worth a visit even just to chat and hear some interesting anecdotes. Important: don't call them Spritzes; they don't have the shape, the flavor, or even the concept. Carmen's strictly serves Bici.

Oh, the place is awful! At the entrance you can already got drunk just by cloud of alcohol inside! But where else you can find spritz for 1.50 with chips?))) Of course without ice and orange. Personally, I prefer to pay more and get better drink in better place. For sure the target is young poor student
