Mollica Torino Reviews
Excellent focaccia sandwiches!! Service was quick friendly. There are sandwiches with pre set ingredients or you could customise the ingredients of your choice. You then choose the bread. Everything is prepared on the spot and it is heated with a press. Seating is easy and communal. Will come back the next time.
I somehow first learned about Mollica through my Instagram account and I set my sights to visiting there when I made my trip to Turin recently. These sandwiches are absolutely amazing... Extremely fresh bread, locally sourced products, and fast service! We got there right before the restaurant really started getting busy and we were able to get our sandwiches and sit at a small side table. As you could see from the pictures, the sandwiches are generously sized and you will not go away hungry. More importantly, the bread on the sandwiches helped make the sandwich superb and the ingredients inside were phenomenal. I was also super impressed that they had a homemade mayonnaise on the sandwiches. I promise you, you cannot go to this sandwich shop without finding something you would like and you will not be disappointed!!!
Place discovered thanks to some friends' suggestion. And it was incredible! Here you can "build" your own sandwich (even if calling it a "sandwich" is extremely reductive) combining several types of freshly-baked bread or focaccia, with the finest local Italian ingredients. Everything was simply delicious. Will undoubtedly return, to try other combinations!
Experiencing this Italian Piemontese street food restaurant was like embarking on a culinary journey through the heart of Turin Italy. A gastronomic delight with the combination of succulent meats, salumi, aromatic herbs, and locally sourced cheeses transported us to the picturesque landscapes of Piemonte with each bite. The attention to detail in crafting these sandwiches was impressive. Offering 4 kinds of homemade bread was like a crucial component adding a true umami experience. This street food spot is a must-try as it ensures indeed a memorable experience.
Great panino. Very delicious. The ingredients are super fresh, yummy and quality. They supply directly from small farms. I recommend to not mix too many different ingredients, i made this mistake. I would not mix different salumi, cheeses and vegetables. 1 salumi, 1 cheese and 1 vegetable type could be enough. Try it!
A city "must try", with no doubts! Although the place is super busy and there is a queue most of the time, the staff is polite, fast, helpful and friendly and they don't rush you while ordering! The ingredients they use for their filled focaccias are top quality, local and absolutely delicious! The price is fixed and you get to choose the filling according on the daily availability. Craft local beer (and Coke!) also available! Top!
If I could put 6 stars and more, I would. This is definitely the place you need to try in Torino. I honestly have never eaten such paninis like these ones before. The warm welcome makes it even more incredible. Everything is fresh and there is a wide range of vegetables, hams and cheese. The price is ok regarding the quality. Not located in the center but who cares when the experience is that good. Just go. It's worth it.
Overall, the food is tasty but was served cold. After telling the cashier that I need to catch an flight. The back guy still prepared the food in the slowest way possible, nearly in a slow motion. He forgot adding the tomato source, and forget to take it out from the grill after around 3 minutes "grill time". Oddly, the sandwich is cold when I opened it. So what have I been waiting 3 minutes for? The female cashier is super friendly, though.
